Chapter 1696: Heaven Empyrean

Qin Wentian stood in the air and stared at all the experts here. It was impossible for anyone to unify the Azure Mystic Immortal Realms today since the empyreans of both the Jiang Clan and Heavenly Talisman Realm stood out. In such a situation, clearly it was impossible for him to start a battle. If not, regardless of his victory or defeat, there would be casualties among his friends and family.

“Since everyone has chosen who to side with, let the matter here today come to an end. You guys can leave now.” Qin Wentian waved his hand, incomparably carefree. All those enemies that participated in the war back then were all destroyed by him. Next, unifying Azure Mystic was the only thing remaining. Also, he has yet to save Jun Mengchen and Bai Wuya.

The experts of the Heavenly Talisman Realm glanced at Qin Wentian. Was Qin Wentian issuing an expulsion order?

“Qin Wentian, are you really determined not to return to the sect?” The empyreans of the Heavenly Talisman Realm felt somewhat reluctant. If Qin Wentian rejoin them, what threat could the Jiang Clan pose? They could directly steamroll their opponents and unify Azure Mystic, there was no need to waste any more time or effort.

“If Jun Mengchen and the others even suffer the slightest bit of injury, I will make the entire Heavenly Talisman Realm here be buried together with them.” Qin Wentian coldly spoke. The four empyreans of the Heavenly Talisman Realm ruthlessly glared at him, their eyes flickering with killing intent as though they wanted nothing more than to finish Qin Wentian off right here and now.

“Qin Wentian, you will regret it.” An empyrean from the Heavenly Talisman Realm replied. After that, they waved their hands and led the experts of the Thousand Transformations Immortal Sect away.

“Farewell.” The Jiang Clan also led those who submitted to them away.

The air trembled, the experts from the Myriad Devil Islands that were surrounding them all opened up pathways for them to leave. The people who gathered in the royal capital felt some frustration and disappointment as though they had lost something. The things that happened today toppled their understanding of everything. Even ancient emperors could die. Also, with so many ancient emperors appearing, this was simply a shocking sight. Sadly, the battle to unify Azure Mystic still wasn’t fought in the end.

But no matter what, the things that happened here today in the Evergreen Immortal Empire were already enough to enter the annals of history. There were very few records about ancient emperors but today, all of them witnessed how Qin Wentian personally killed an ancient emperor and had seen the magnificence of this living legend. A thousand years from now, this would surely become a legendary story of the Azure Mystic Immortal Realms, leaving its mark in history.

In this time period of close to two hundred years, the previous war and this event were all historical matters.

With some melancholy, many people left. There were also some who decided to stay behind in the Evergreen Immortal Empire. Since the world was now split into three parts, Qin Wentian evidently would use the Evergreen Immortal Empire as his base of power. Maybe, this royal capital of the Evergreen Immortal Empire might become an unprecedented majestic city in the future.

The major powers who submitted to Qin Wentian didn’t leave and they were still filled with trepidation. This was especially so for the Shooting Sun Immortal Empire. Right now given the states of affairs in the immortal realms, peak-stage immortal emperors were no longer important. Only empyreans had the qualifications to decide the situation.

Today, Qin Wentian displayed overwhelming strength, killing a character at the ancient emperor level and had more than 50% of the powers in the immortal realms under his control. However, why were there still so many powers that chose to submit to the Thousand Transformations Immortal Sect and the Jiang Clan?

Because, Qin Wentian was only a single empyrean while the other parties had more more than one empyrean. Hence, this affected the choices of many major powers.

Those neutral empyreans who came here to watch the show also left. The greater demon races who had invaded the immortal realms also started to retreat, preparing to return to the Desolate Mountain Range, deciding to concentrate fully on their cultivation. After the Demon God Mountain appeared, the Desolate Mountain Range was transformed, they initially thought they could rule the world but they didn’t expect the rules of the Azure Mystic Immortal Realms to change and so many empyreans appeared. Now, they had become the prey of others. The Phoeroc Race, Sun Gold Demon Beast Race and many other greater demons were completely annihilated.

After many people went off from the Evergreen’s royal capital, there were still some experts remaining. The Darknorth Immortal Emperor and Beiming Nongyue, the sect leader of the Hundred Refinements Sect and Li Yufeng, the palace mistress of the Jadestage Immortal Palace, the ruler of the Shooting Sun Immortal Empire as well as their princes and princesses. All of them stood before Qin Wentian, yet they didn’t know how should they address him.

Right now, given Qin Wentian’s strength and cultivation base, it wasn’t too much to refer to him as ‘senior.’ But after all, it would still sound strange as Qin Wentian was simply too young.

“Everyone, you guys can just call me “Wentian.” Qin Wentian didn’t really mind such things.

“That wouldn’t be appropriate.” The ruler of the Shooting Sun Immortal Empire spoke. “No matter what, you can now already be considered to have control over half of the major powers here in the immortal realms. It would be better if you have a title. The devil cultivators can call you the Myriad Devil Sovereign, but what about the rest of us?”

These words had the intent of expressing his good will. After all, it really wasn’t too appropriate to refer to Qin Wentian directly by his name.

“Ordinary emperor titles are insufficient to express the dignity of your current station. Qin Wentian, since there’s the word tian (heaven) in your name, why don’t we refer to you as the Heaven Empyrean?” The palace mistress of the Jadestage Immortal Palace softly spoke in a melodious voice. As the sound of her voice faded, many people had approval in their eyes. This was truly a good title.

Right now, Qin Wentian’s cultivation base has already exceeded the emperor realm, it wasn’t suitable to refer to him with the word ’emperor’ in his title. Also, this name Heaven Empyrean could not only express his cultivation realm, it was also a salutation of respect. Heaven Empyrean, the one ruling the heavens, seeking to control the world.

“Good name.” The ruler of the Shooting Sun Immortal Empire nodded.

“Not bad indeed. Let’s go with this then. Since we desire to unify the Azure Mystic Immortal Realms, you naturally need to have a title.” The Darknorth Immortal Emperor also agreed. Qin Wentian nodded his head lightly, the words of these people weren’t wrong. He needed to have a title since he wanted to unify the Azure Mystic Immortal Realms. The title ‘Heaven Empyrean’ was pretty suitable.

“We pay our respects to the Heaven Empyrean.” The Hundred Refinements Sect Leader bowed and called out.

“We pay our respects to the Heaven Empyrean.” The other experts followed his lead and expressed their respect. The Southern Phoenix Matriarch and the others smiled and also flew over as they bowed and greeted, “We pay our respects to the Heaven Empyrean.”

“Everyone, there’s no need to be so polite.” Qin Wentian stretched out his hand and continued, “Since everyone is willing to advance and retreat with me, I’m prepared to use the Evergreen Immortal Empire as our headquarters. I want teleportation arrays leading to each of your bases to be constructed here so we can better communicate and reinforce each other if need be to deal with any unexpected changes to the situation in Azure Mystic.”

“Right.” Everyone nodded.

“However, I have a suggestion. I hope the various powers can relocate to the royal capital of the Evergreen Immortal Empire, forming a closely-connected network.” As Qin Wentian spoke, the expressions of the various experts here changed. Qin Wentian knew what they were thinking about, he continued to explain, “By doing this, it isn’t for the Evergreen Immortal Empire to claim supremacy and gain control of the forces under all of you. Now, given how chaotic the immortal realms are, since all of you put your trust in me, I’ll naturally take responsibility and protect you all. In truth, I feel that even if we construct teleportation arrays, things wouldn’t be that useful as empyreans can instantly destroy them. You won’t have enough time to activate them. If something really did happen, it would be hard for the others to send reinforcements in time.”

“The territories controlled by the Evergreen Immortal Empire are vast. We can construct many buildings like the imperial palace here, and the control of them would be spread out among all of you. I was planning to station them in the various directions to better cope with unexpected situations. Right now, the spatial tunnel connecting the Supreme Ancient Immortal Realms and Azure Mystic Immortal Realms is already opened and there would be many empyreans from the upper world descending. Hence, I’m not sure when this matter of unification would conclude exactly. But there’s no doubt once the unification is concluded, I will also return to the Supreme Ancient Immortal Realms. At that time, all of you can go with me if you want to, or choose to stay behind if you wish so. I won’t force any of you to follow me. At that time, if you all wish to relocate back to your original locations, you can do so as well.”

Qin Wentian slowly spoke, everyone nodded their heads. Qin Wentian’s words were logical and it proved that he didn’t have selfish motives. After Qin Wentian left here, the unified Azure Mystic Immortal Realms wouldn’t be like a piece of unbreakable iron. Without an empyrean here to maintain order, the alliances formed would disintegrate sooner or later.

Also, to many of them, the Supreme Ancient Immortal Realms held great attractiveness. Many of them have been stuck in the peak-stage of the immortal emperor realm for many years and had no way to break through. But this was also because of the limitations imposed upon them by the environment here.

“Everyone, feel free to make your choices. I won’t force you guys and since I’ve already promised all of you my protection, I will naturally do my best. However, if someone fails to follow my orders, don’t blame me then.” Qin Wentian spoke.

“We all understand the intent of the Heaven Empyrean. Since this is the case, my Darknorth Immortal Empire is willing to relocate.” The Darknorth Immortal Emperor spoke. Given how vast the immortal realms are, it was impossible to control everyone fully. Was the Lifire World Palace powerful in the Lifelong Realm of the Supreme Ancient Immortal Realms? Of course it was, but it was also impossible to make sure everyone follow orders willingly. But naturally, as long as one gains control the strength of the upper-most level, it was equivalent to gaining control over everything else.

“In that case, our Hundred Refinements Immortal Sect is willing to relocate as well.” Everyone in the Hundred Refinements Immortal Sect expressed. Qin Wentian smiled and nodded. The Evergreen Immortal Emperor and Nanfeng Yaoyue and the rest laughed. They knew that a supreme power had just been born in the Evergreen Immortal Empire.

“You all can leave and do whatever is necessary then.” Qin Wentian waved his hand. He descended through the air. The curtains of the commotion caused by the gathering of all the major powers in the Evergreen Immortal Empire finally closed.

But the entire immortal realms were trembling as countless people discussed about this matter. The supreme genius Qin Wentian returned and had became an ancient emperor, standing above all the immortal emperors.

The titles of Myriad Devil Sovereign and Heaven Empyrean spread all over the world.

Those who had personally witnessed the battle became valuable guests no matter where they went and naturally spread the story of what they saw. Those who didn’t witness the grand event also started to boast, embellishing the stories they heard, speaking as though they were really there.

Countless experts gathered at the Evergreen Immortal Empire’s royal capital and refused to leave. They heard that the Heaven Empyrean wanted to unify the world and transform the royal capital of the Evergreen Immortal Empire into the headquarters of a super alliance, becoming a supreme mega city. They naturally didn’t want to miss out on such an opportunity. Now, every inch of land here was contested by countless people who wanted to buy them.

The royal capital expanded. The Evergreen Immortal Empire, Southern Phoenix Clan and the other powers all hired craftsmen and builders, creating immortal palaces and ancient halls that were located in different directions of the royal capital. The Southern Phoenix Clan, Darknorth Immortal Empire, Hundred Refinements Sect, Jadestage Immortal Palace and the other powers started to aid in the expansion effort, creating plenty of new buildings. For a period of time, the atmosphere of the royal capital of the Evergreen Immortal Empire became extremely lively.

…

In one of the many cities in the eastern regions, the inns were filled with people and everyone was discussing about the recent events in the Evergreen Immortal Empire. At this moment, two figures covered in dust walked into a certain inn and sat down as they began to order some wine and dishes.

These two were a man and a woman but they didn’t seem to match up well at all. The man was rather chubby and had an immortal-foundation cultivation base while the woman was extremely beautiful with an air of innocence.

“It has been tough on you during these days. I, fatty, have let you down, I shouldn’t have allowed you to suffer with me.” Fatty sighed as he stared at the beautiful woman in front of him. That woman rolled her eyes at him, “I’ve already followed you for so many years, why are you speaking about such nonsense? Compared to the past, we can now already hold our own in the immortal realms. Things are already very good.”

“Mhm, little wife come here. Try to eat more alright. In the future after this fatty becomes wealthy, I’ll roast some nutritious greater demons from the desolate region for you to eat.” The fatty laughed.

“Haha, fatty your words are so braggy. Do you think you are the Heaven Empyrean?” Someone at the side laughed.

“Yeah, how magnificent is the Heaven Empyrean? He even roasted the demon kings from the Phoeroc Race and Sun Gold Demon Beast Race to eat. After that, he captured so many other greater demons for his demonic beast companion to devour. He is truly an unrivalled character.”

“The Heaven Empyrean again.” The eyes of the fatty flashed. This time, they took the risk and returned here and discovered many people talking about this so-called Heaven Empyrean. From the sounds of it, the Heaven Empyrean should be an incredible existence, a supreme character in the immortal realms.

“Yeah. It’s rumored that he came from a particle world. Back then in the past, the Eastern Sage Immortal Emperor refused to accept him as a disciple and he entered the Thousand Transformations Immortal Sect to cultivate instead. Who would have imagined that he would have such accomplishments today? Eastern Sage must have been truly blind.”

“What did you all say?” The fatty jumped up from his chair. Upon seeing everyone turning to stare at him, he swallowed a mouthful of saliva and asked, “Who is the Heaven Empyrean?”

“The Heaven Empyrean naturally is the Heaven Empyrean. He naturally still has another identity, he is the lord of all devils, the Myriad Devil Sovereign and is now the number one expert in our world.” That person spoke.

“I’m asking about his name.” The fatty roared.

“Oh, the Heavenly Empyrean, Qin Wentian.” After contemplating for a moment, that person replied, revealing an expression of reverence on his face when he said the name. Everyone in the surroundings also had looks of respect on their faces.

Fatty narrowed his eyes and was dumbfounded for a few seconds. After that, he leapt up in the air excitedly, “The wonderful life waiting for this fatty is finally about to arrive!”
