The strength is the sum of the whole class, and he is promoted to the Grandmaster level at the beginning.

13: Give me a good beatingBefore the Genius Training Camp selection trials began, Yu Xiu had already arrived at the venue.

”Wen Ya, you take care of Qianqian.”

Principal He beckoned, and Yu Xiu handed his younger sister, Yu Qianqian, to Zhuang Wenya before walking over.

”Leaders, this is Yu Xiu, a Two-Star Grandmaster.”

Principal He introduced, ”Yu Xiu, this is Mayor Chen of Jiangtan City, and this is Chairman Liu of the Martial Arts Association of Jiangtan City.”

Yu Xiu nodded and greeted them.

After some casual conversation, Yu Xiu remained neither servile nor overbearing, which earned him the admiration and appreciation of both men.

After bidding farewell to the two leaders, Principal He asked in a low voice, ”Later, during the selection trials, do you want to go up and play a bit?”

”I’d rather not. With the two leaders present, wouldn’t it make them laugh if I went up?” Yu Xiu shook his head decisively, refusing.

”What’s there to laugh about? You’re a student of Seventh High School, and you’re only sixteen years and eight months old.”

”Forget it, I’m just here to bring my sister to watch the competition today.”

”Suit yourself!”

Yu Xiu returned to Yu Qianqian and found Yang Duling also by her side.

”You’re probably not participating later, right?”

Yang Duling asked.

”I’m not!”

”I knew it! If you participated, wouldn’t we be crushed?”

As the two chatted, the host teacher announced the official start of the selection trials.

All students, even those in their second year of high school, could participate in these selection trials.

The top three hundred would be selected. The top one hundred would be recommended by the school and officially enter the Genius Training Camp, while the next two hundred would enter the Genius Training Camp Pre-selection class.

Those who performed exceptionally well in the Pre-selection class could be promoted to the Genius Training Camp.

However, only ten people could be promoted each year, making the competition extremely fierce.

”Principal He, wait!”

Just then, a group of people approached from a distance. Their uniforms were not from Seventh High School.

At a glance, there was a wide variety of uniforms, seemingly from all high schools in Jiangtan City.

”Why are the other principals here?”

Yang Duling couldn’t help but frown.

”What is the meaning of this, gentlemen?” The Seventh High School Principal asked the newcomers.

”We heard that the two leaders were also here, so we thought, it’s been many years since the high schools in Jiangtan City have had an exchange. We might as well take this opportunity to have a good exchange.”

The Seventh High School Principal frowned and said, ”What’s there to exchange about in selection trials? Let the students exchange slowly once they enter the Genius Training Camp.”

How could he not understand the intentions of these principals? They had simply heard that the two leaders had come to Seventh High School and deliberately came to seek attention.

Seventh High School had always been the top-ranked high school in Jiangtan City, and now two leaders were personally present to observe the Genius selection trials.

Originally, the other high schools were not as good as Seventh High School. If the two leaders were satisfied and allocated a batch of resources to Seventh High School, then the other high schools would only continue to be suppressed.

They felt a sense of crisis, which led to today’s situation.

”It’s all for nurturing talent in Jiangtan City. Adding some competition can also boost the students’ enthusiasm for martial arts, which is also beneficial for the upcoming Martial Arts Examination.”

”Can a single exchange match truly boost students’ enthusiasm for martial arts? If it really had that effect, what would we need to do? We would just need to hold regular city-wide martial arts competitions.”

The Seventh High School Principal had specifically invited the two leaders to the selection trials through Yu Xiu, and his purpose was self-evident. Now that these principals were interfering, he naturally did not want to be taken advantage of.

”Gentlemen, please calm down!”

The Mayor waved his hand and said, ”Since all the high schools in Jiangtan City are gathered here, let’s have an exchange match!”

”However, I’ll say this in advance: the selection trials involve the Genius Training Camp, so the rankings will still be based on each school’s own standards. Students’ futures cannot be affected by the exchange match.”

”Since it’s an exchange match, we can’t be stingy. Chairman Liu and I have also discussed it. The top ten in the exchange match will all receive rewards from Chairman Liu and me.”

”Furthermore, it’s a friendly match. There must be no serious injuries.”

At this point, the Seventh High School Principal was also very helpless.

Since the two leaders had agreed, he could only choose to accept.

”How will the rules be set?”

”How about this? Since today is Seventh High School’s selection trials, we shouldn’t disturb them.”

”You proceed with your selection trials, and coincidentally, we’ve brought students who are qualified to enter the Genius Training Camp. You can also select your top one hundred, and then have them participate in the exchange match.”

The Seventh High School Principal nodded and said, ”No problem, let’s do that!”

With the rules agreed upon, the principals also took their seats on the high platform of the sports field.

”Yu Xiu!”

In the crowd, Xiao Ruoyu saw Yu Xiu’s figure and couldn’t help but clench his fists.

However, thinking of Yu Xiu’s strength, he felt helpless and sulked to himself.

”You know that person? He keeps looking at you.” Yang Duling noticed Xiao Ruoyu’s gaze, turned her head, and asked Yu Xiu.

”Xiao Ruoyu. I beat him up when I left Seventh High School.”

”He’s Xiao Ruoyu!” Yang Duling chuckled, ”I heard you didn’t just beat him up, but slapped him unconscious.”

”He’s just not resistant to punches!”

Yang Duling rolled her eyes. ”With your strength, no high school student in all of Jiangtan City would be resistant to punches.”

”Enough about him!” Yu Xiu asked, ”Aren’t you participating in the selection trials? I see our classmates maintaining order nearby.”

”Our class is all pre-selected; we just need to compete for rankings later.” Yang Duling explained, ”The selection trials are mainly for the classes behind us. To be precise, it’s for the classes behind us to compete for the remaining fifty spots.”

Yu Xiu nodded.

In all of Seventh High School, only the students in Class One had a significant disparity in strength.

For example, Yang Duling was a Fifth-Grade Martial Artist, and there were also Seventh-Grade Martial Artists in Class One.

However, compared to the classes behind them, their overall strength was actually not much different.

Of course, there were also some students with low Qi and Blood values but strong combat abilities who could challenge those above their Realm in school.

”Principal, why are you here?”

Just as the selection trials were underway, the Seventh High School Principal came to Yu Xiu’s side.

”I came to have you beat someone up.”

It was clear that the Seventh High School Principal was very displeased with the actions of the other principals.

”Later, during the exchange match, you need to go up and participate. When you encounter students from the other schools, beat them up fiercely for me.”

”Hmph, let them come and take advantage. I want to make them draw water with a sieve.”

Yu Xiu couldn’t help but smile wryly. ”Principal, is that really necessary? The principals provoked you, but the students are innocent.”

”Then go easy on them.”

”About that!” Yu Xiu pondered for a moment and said, ”It’ll cost extra!”

”You rascal!” The Principal chuckled, but still readily agreed.

”You’re not lacking anything now, so how about this: once Qianqian comes to Seventh High School, I can give her twice the resources and supplies of her other classmates.”

”Five times!”

”Three times at most!”

”Deal!”

The Principal was visibly stunned. He never expected Yu Xiu to agree so quickly.

”You’re scamming me!”

Seeing the sly smile on Yu Xiu’s face, the Principal finally realized.

”This is scamming you?” Yu Xiu pouted, ”She’s my cousin, and I didn’t even ask you to increase her resource supplies.”

”You’re ruthless!”
