Chapter 604: Immortal Qi Is Too Precious!

Recalling the Heavenly Desire Sectʼs Supreme Elderʼs departing figure, Ye Chen noticed her aura, akin to Fan Qinghe and the Sect Master, and asked, ”Was she once a divine maiden?”

Fan Qinghe nodded. ”Yes, sheʼs my masterʼs master—my grandmaster.”

The Sect Master, understanding her masterʼs actions, spoke softly. ”When Master was at Mahayana First Heaven, her protector fell in the Endless Sea, leaving no trace… No matter how she cultivated, she was stuck at Mahayana Third Heaven. After all, every three heavens in Mahayana requires a transformation to break through.”

Ye Chen understood what the Supreme Elder wanted. For cultivators, cultivation was paramount. This wasnʼt a bad deal for him either. Next time, even with the Sect Master, it might not be enough. One more could share the load. But Ye Chen didnʼt comment. No matter how perfect her figure, it lacked a multiplier. So, heʼd stick to gifting Fan Qinghe. Sheʼd have to beg him herself.

Ye Chen stayed silent. The Sect Master, hoping to speak for her master, felt disappointed. But as a freeloader herself, she had no right to ask Ye Chen.

Fan Qinghe, oblivious to this, looked at Ye Chen reluctantly. ”Holy Son, you fought hard. Are you hurt? Need more rest?”

Ye Chen nodded. Killing three Mahayana cultivators took little time. The next gifting was a week away. Heʼd rest until then, after presenting the spear.

Seeing his nod, Fan Qinghe beamed. Smiling brightly, she clung to his arm, flying back to her cave abode.

Hearing Ye Chen would stay longer, the Sect Master set aside thoughts of her master. Her master had her own fortune. Sheʼd focus on her own matters. She moved to Ye Chenʼs other side, also clinging to his arm.

Women admired strength, and Ye Chenʼs prowess shocked and awed her. But she had other motives. People were greedy. Stuck at Unity, sheʼd once only dreamed of Mahayana. Now, with that solved, she wanted more. She hoped, at Mahayana Third Heaven, to transform again, reaching higher realms. Thus, she had to curry favor with Ye Chen, ensuring heʼd share more in the future. So, amid the knowing looks of the Heavenly Desire Sect elders, the trio entered the cave.

…

Ye Chen wasnʼt injured. No healing needed. Fan Qinghe naturally began her feast. The Sect Master, eager for leftovers next time, joined to please Ye Chen. After a while, Fan Qinghe stepped aside, no longer obstructing. Seeing Ye Chen didnʼt refuse, and her disciple didnʼt block, the Sect Master, impatient yet graceful, slowly lowered her slender waist…

Fan Qinghe watched, eyes sparkling, hesitated, then found a spot to rest. For a moment, the cave was harmonious. Ye Chen wasnʼt interested in their antics. Sipping honey-like spiritual liquid, he focused inward, examining the systemʼs rewards for gifting Fan Qinghe the Law Qi. The rewards differed from his expectations.

”Congratulations, host, for successful gifting…”

”Gift: Law Qi!”

”2,500x feedback in progress…”

”Detected: Gift is extremely important to recipient…”

”Triggered max critical hit reward.”

”Feedback: One-time round-trip passage to a small world…”

”Feedback: Immortal Qi Condensation Method!”

”This small world maintains a faint connection to the Immortal Realm. Over billions of years, it has accumulated enough Immortal Qi to forge one Immortal Platform!”

”Immortal Qi Condensation Method: Using an immortal artifact as a catalyst to attract and condense ambient Immortal Qi…”

Indeed, the previous gift didnʼt yield the desired Immortal Qi. Instead, it gave a one-time passage to another world And a method to condense Immortal Qi. Clearly, he had to work for it himself.

Ye Chen was initially confused, but soon realized why. Immortal Qi was too precious. The giftʼs value was insufficient. Even with Fan Qingheʼs 2,500x multiplier and a max critical hit, it couldnʼt match Immortal Qiʼs worth. So the system compromised, offering a passage to a world with Immortal Qi, letting him condense it himself.

Ye Chen felt a bit disappointed—it was troublesome. But it underscored Immortal Qiʼs rarity. Seventy-two Law Qis were already treasures, fit only for top prodigies.

Fan Qingheʼs 2,500x, though lower than Central Continentʼs top talents, was a ceiling-level multiplier in Great Yan Continent. Yet even this couldnʼt directly yield Immortal Qi, showing its immense value.

The Immortal Platform was called so because it required Immortal Qi. Only then could a perfect Immortal Platform be forged. Platforms built with various laws werenʼt true Immortal Platforms. They were entirely different, with vast gaps in aptitude, combat power, cultivation speed, and future potential.

Thus, despite the hassle, Ye Chen had to use Immortal Qi for his Immortal Platform. He just didnʼt know what that small world was or if it held dangers.

Finally, Ye Chenʼs body trembled slightly, his fist clenched, then he exhaled deeply…

…

Seven days passed in a flash.

System cooldown over, Ye Chen gently pushed aside the reluctant Sect Master and the resentful Fan Qinghe. Stretching happily, he said, ”Thanks for your care in healing me. Iʼm back at my peak, so Iʼll take my leave.”

The two women were reluctant but didnʼt persuade him to stay. They were eager to complete their transformations and break through to Mahayana. The allure was too strong.

Ye Chen raised a hand, and the spear leaning against the wall turned into golden light, flying into his grasp. Under the curious gazes of the two women, he handed the spear to Fan Qinghe. ”Iʼll be cultivating seriously for a while, so I may not be here to celebrate your Mahayana breakthrough. This spear is my gift for your breakthrough, given in advance!”

As his words landed, both womenʼs eyes widened in shock…
