Immortality Starts With Investment

Chapter 532: First Encounter with the Heavenly Emperor!

”Junior Brother, you came to see me!”

Yao Xiʼs voice brimmed with joy, thrilled to reunite with Ye Chen. He was surprised—a Primordial Spirit Body with a 2,000x multiplier? Though an auxiliary physique, it was impressive. He also saw the Yao Clan hadnʼt lied—theyʼd poured vast resources into nurturing her. Without them, even a Primordial Spirit Body couldnʼt reach mid-Deity Transformation so quickly.

Only heaven-favored physiques like Innate Sacred Body Dao Embryo or Chaos Body could match such speed without resources. But Ye Chen, having seen much, wasnʼt fazed by the 2,000x multiplier. Smiling, he embraced Yao Xi.

The Yao Clan, tactful, left them alone. Ye Chenʼs limitless potential and strength, paired with their holy daughterʼs affection, gave them a unique edge in allying with him. In the immortal pathʼs contest, partnering with Ye Chen could yield great benefits. Otherwise, as another holy landʼs Holy Son, they wouldnʼt be so accommodating.

In Yao Xiʼs cave dwelling, Ye Chen wanted to ask about her recent years, checking for anything odd. Not paranoia, but the final immortal era could drive great powers to madness, using forbidden tactics. Though the Yao Clan was an upright ancient family, who knew their true plans? Before he could ask, Yao Xi, smiling brightly, took a jar of misty spiritual honey from her storage ring.

”Junior Brother, I found a rare spirit flower in the Endless Sea secret realm. Brewed into honey water, itʼs uniquely flavorful, lingering… Try it.”

Her familiar ”Junior Brother” warmed Ye Chen. Senior Sister Yao Xi still loved brewing sweet water, the sugariest girl he knew. In a non-cultivation world, heʼd worry about her getting diabetes.

She fed him the honey water and, like back at Qingyun Sect, sat on his lap, enveloping him. Feeling her familiar, full-moon presence, Ye Chen smiled. He shelved his questions—after so long apart, they should enjoy the moment. But first, he gifted her the same cultivation survival kit he gave his master, including the Movement Secret. As an auxiliary, she didnʼt need combat power. If frontline fighters faltered, a swift escape was best.

After, Ye Chen immersed himself, savoring Yao Xiʼs full moon and lifeʼs joys over days. Her gentle, watery presence was deeply soothing, stress-melting. But the immortal path loomed. Seven days later, he had to leave.

”Did you receive all my gifts? Anything off at the Yao Clan? Their attitude strange? Senior Sister, come with me! I know they invested heavily in you, but Iʼll repay them tenfold!”

Cultivating a mid-Deity Transformation Primordial Spirit Body in such a time was costly, but Ye Chen boldly claimed he could afford any price.

Facing Ye Chenʼs concern, Yao Xiʼs radiant face glowed with contentment and joy. She shook her head, cuddling with him on a lounge chair, savoring his warmth.

”I know youʼre incredible, Junior Brother, capable of anything! But I donʼt want to be a woman who only waits for your favor. At the Yao Clan, Iʼm respected, with high status as their holy daughter. They prioritize resources for me. The clan head promised to nurture me until I reach Mahayana, sparing no cost to awaken my Primordial Spirit Body to its peak.

”A fully awakened Primordial Spirit Body may not boost combat much, but its support is unmatched. It can instantly restore someone to their peak state. With all my power, I can temporarily boost anotherʼs strength up to five times, though it depends on the realm gap. Even so, once mastered, I can truly aid you, Junior Brother. In the fight for immortality path, Iʼll pour everything into boosting you—even a onefold increase could let you crush everyone and seize it.”

Her eyes sparkled with anticipation.

Ye Chen, gazing at her, gently tucked a stray hair behind her ear. Senior Sister had her own resolve, unwilling to be a decorative canary, eager to help him. She wouldnʼt leave with him.

The Primordial Spirit Bodyʼs potential was indeed terrifying—doubling strength at higher realms was staggering, let alone fivefold. A true game-changer. No wonder the Yao Clan invested heavily—it was worth it.

Dismissing his conspiracy theories, Ye Chen saw no need to force her to follow his path. He grinned. ”When you boost me, what about the Holy Son Yao?”

Yao Xi, a bit sheepish for her betrayal, lowered her head. ”Donʼt kill him, Junior Brother. Leave him a breath. Heʼs technically my uncle by seniority…”

Ye Chen laughed—such filial piety! But it underscored her devotion to him.

After lingering affection, despite reluctance, Ye Chen had to leave. Seeing Yao Xi was fine, it was time to return to the Holy Land for his breakthrough. In her reluctant gaze, he waved and drifted away. No heavy sorrow—this was a temporary parting. Heʼd lead them all to the Immortal Realm one day.

On the flying vessel back, Ye Chen set aside memories of his masterʼs dominance, Yao Xiʼs full moon, and Fan Qingheʼs fierce allure. He calmed himself, rehearsing the Three Rhymes Unity Method, preparing for his Unity period breakthrough. A faint premonition stirred—he might face the Heavenly Emperorʼs imprint in this tribulation…
