Martial Arts, the Little Master of the Ancient Tomb, Becomes Stronger When You Drink

103: Chapter 103 The Sweeping Monk?!Blood splattered everywhere, and the faint scent of blood quickly filled the air.

Dongfang Bai snapped out of her shock. She was about to exclaim in astonishment when she saw Su Xuan standing ’dazed’ in place. She quickly walked over and asked, ”Xiao Su, what’s wrong?”

Su Xuan furrowed his brow, looking at the corpses nearby. ”These Wudang Taoists are not weak in strength; their status within Wudang must be quite high.”

Dongfang Bai nodded, pondered for a moment, and explained, ”That’s true. I know these people; they are fellow disciples of Daoist Master Chong Xu...”

Before Dongfang Bai could finish, Su Xuan shook his head. ”That’s not what I meant.”

Dongfang Bai was somewhat puzzled and turned her head to look at Su Xuan.

Su Xuan paused, a flicker of something in his gaze. ”What I want to say is, why would these Wudang Taoists appear at Shaolin Temple? And why here, specifically? It’s as if they were deliberately waiting for us.”

Hearing this, Dongfang Bai was startled, instantly understanding. A flash of horror passed through her beautiful eyes.

She had been so focused on her astonishment earlier that she hadn’t even considered this...

Why would experts from Wudang appear here...

As she pondered, a trace of gravity flashed in Dongfang Bai’s eyes. ”Are you saying this is a trap?!”

Su Xuan didn’t speak, merely nodding.

Seeing this, a chill ran down Dongfang Bai’s spine, and she instantly became alert. ”Then what should we do now? Leave?”

Su Xuan smiled and shook his head. He took Dongfang Bai’s delicate hand and turned to continue walking deeper inside.

”No need to be nervous. To catch a fish, you need bait. How much more so for catching us?”

”Are you saying... Xiao Lin is inside?!”

”I can’t guarantee it, but we’ll know once we go in and look.”

”But... wouldn’t that mean we’re jumping right into the trap ourselves?”

”When soldiers come, we block them; when water comes, we dam it. Since we’ve come this far, let’s rescue the person first. We can deal with the rest later.”

”Alright...”

After that, Su Xuan and his companion encountered no further obstacles and continued walking along the tunnel.

The tunnel was very long, and it seemed they were constantly descending, going deeper and deeper...

At the very end of the tunnel, inside a relatively spacious cave.

”Cough... Pfft—”

”Junior Martial Uncle!”

”Master!”

”Junior Martial Uncle!”

Seeing Abbess Ding Yi coughing up blood, a group of nuns quickly gathered around her.

Yi Yu and Yi Qing moved behind Abbess Ding Yi and skillfully channeled their Internal Energy into her body.

”Cough...” Abbess Ding Yi’s face was pale, and she coughed weakly twice. ”Don’t... don’t waste your Internal Energy anymore... cough... it’s useless...”

”Master, please stop talking! Stabilize your heart meridian; you will definitely be alright...”

Tears welled up in Yi Yu’s eyes as she continuously transferred her Internal Energy.

Yi Lin helped support her from the side, her delicate face also showing fatigue and sorrow.

Looking at the young nuns gathered around her, Abbess Ding Yi wore a bitter smile at the corner of her mouth, tears shimmering in her eyes.

Her two Senior Sisters had already fallen victim. If she died too, what would happen to these children...

”Boom—”

At that moment, a loud noise suddenly came from behind the nuns.

The stone gate shattered in response, stirring up a cloud of dust.

All the nuns immediately became alert, turning toward the source of the sound and assuming defensive stances.

Torches hung all around the cave, illuminating it brightly.

Except for Yi Yu and Yi Qing, all the nuns wore grave expressions, staring intently in the direction of the stone gate.

As the dust slowly settled, a man and a woman walked in from outside the stone gate.

Recognizing the newcomers, Yi Lin, who had been tense and grave, suddenly brightened up and cried out in pleasant surprise, ”Benefactor!”

Hearing Yi Lin’s voice, the other nuns all showed puzzled expressions, but the vigilance in their eyes did not completely disappear.

Su Xuan nodded, responding simply, ”As expected, you’re here.”

Then, Su Xuan gestured toward Yi Lin’s direction with his chin. ”The one who just spoke is Xiao Lin!”

Following Su Xuan’s indication, Dongfang Bai’s gaze fell upon Yi Lin.

Her bright, sparkling eyes gradually welled up with tears.

Yi Lin was somewhat confused. What was happening?

Why was that older sister looking at her like that? And what did the Benefactor’s words mean...

Before Yi Lin could figure it out, another exclamation came from behind.

”Master!”

”Master...”

Hearing the choked exclamations, the nuns quickly turned around, gathering in front of Abbess Ding Yi.

Seeing Abbess Ding Yi coughing up blood and on the verge of death, the nuns were at a complete loss, could only weep silently...

Su Xuan’s eyes shifted. Exchanging a glance with Dongfang Bai, he quickly stepped forward.

”Let me take a look.”

”Benefactor...” Seeing Su Xuan approach, Yi Lin’s red, swollen eyes were filled with pleading.

Su Xuan gave a slight nod in reassurance.

Just as Dongfang Bai stepped forward, intending to check Abbess Ding Yi’s pulse,

Yi Yu clearly saw Dongfang Bai’s face. An image suddenly surfaced in her mind, overlapping with Dongfang Bai’s.

”Invincible East! You are Invincible East!”

Hearing this, the other nuns were greatly alarmed, their expressions once again turning tense and grave.

Yi Yu even took two steps forward, placing herself between Dongfang Bai and Abbess Ding Yi. The atmosphere grew tense once more...

Before Su Xuan or Yi Lin could speak, Abbess Ding Yi’s weak voice suddenly sounded, ”Yi... Yi Yu, step back...”

”Master...” Hearing her Master’s voice, Yi Yu turned her head, her eyes full of confusion. However, meeting her Master’s gaze, she stepped aside...

As soon as Su Xuan and his companion stepped forward, Abbess Ding Yi recognized them...

Setting aside Dongfang Bai for the moment, Abbess Ding Yi’s gaze remained fixed on Su Xuan...

Yi Lin’s savior...

The one who helped them block the silver needles...

Kind-hearted and immensely powerful...

With no one obstructing her, Dongfang Bai took two steps forward, crouched down, and began taking the pulse...

After examining for a moment, Dongfang Bai frowned, stood up, and said regretfully to Su Xuan, ”Her heart meridian is completely severed. There’s no way to save her...”

Hearing Dongfang Bai’s words, everyone was stricken with grief.

Su Xuan frowned slightly, suddenly remembering something. He took out a small jade vial from his robes and handed it to Dongfang Bai. ”Have her take this.”

Dongfang Bai was puzzled. Since there was no hope, why administer medicine...

Abbess Ding Yi’s weak voice sounded again, ”Young Hero, it’s unnecessary. This humble nun knows her own body well. It’s useless...”

Su Xuan paid no heed to Abbess Ding Yi’s words, merely explaining to Dongfang Bai, ”Regardless of whether it’s useful or not, let’s try it first.”

”Alright.” Dongfang Bai glanced at Yi Lin, who was crying her heart out, and took the small jade vial.

She crouched down again, opened the vial, and administered the longevity blood to Abbess Ding Yi.

A flicker of resignation passed through Abbess Ding Yi’s heart.

As soon as the longevity blood mixed with jade bee nectar entered her throat, she tasted a rich sweetness mingled with a faint hint of blood...

Before Abbess Ding Yi could recover, she suddenly felt her bodily functions improve by a tiny fraction...

The injury to her heart meridian also eased slightly...

Immediately after, under the astonished gazes of everyone, Abbess Ding Yi’s somewhat aged face gradually began to revert to a more youthful appearance.

Dongfang Bai’s beautiful eyes widened, filled with disbelief. Reversing... youth?!

After a moment of surprise, Dongfang Bai regained her composure and quickly began taking Abbess Ding Yi’s pulse again.

As she examined, a flicker of astonishment first appeared in Dongfang Bai’s eyes, then gradually turned grave. Finally, she sighed, ”It’s managed to sustain her life, but her heart meridian is completely severed. There’s nothing to be done about that. At most, she can only hold on for another half-hour...”

Hearing this, the nuns fell into despair.

Su Xuan also shook his head helplessly. ”Then there’s nothing to be done...”

At that moment, another loud noise came from the direction of the stone gate,

”Boom—”

Su Xuan and the others quickly turned to look.

They saw that an Old Monk, dressed in tattered clothes, with a weathered face, and holding a broom, had appeared at the entrance.

And the stone gate behind the Old Monk had been completely sealed shut with that loud noise.

Su Xuan frowned slightly.

The Sweeping Monk?!
