Weakest Beast Tamer Gets All SSS Dragons

Chapter 1186 - Taming the Old World - Amplifying Power - 4

Every single one of them felt the primordial energy flood their mana-biological systems.

It was not merely a surge of raw power. It was not just the chaotic, overwhelming amalgamation of ten distinct elemental affinities, two of which remained an absolute, unfathomable mystery, completely alien to them.

It was something different…

The energy was profoundly, terrifyingly intoxicating.

It bypassed their muscles and their mana cores entirely, seeping deep into the foundational architecture of their souls. It triggered a profound sensation of limitless expansion. It was a suffocating, euphoric high that whispered directly into their minds, promising that the physical limitations of flesh and blood no longer applied to them.

King Dragarion had given his life feeling this absolutely, undeniably invincible.

Standing in the dark cavern, Julius and Victor finally understood exactly why. The realization hit them... And standing right beside them was Arturo. The third brother had arrived just moments prior, completely abandoning his logistical command post the second he received Victorʼs urgent message detailing Renʼs suicidal gamble. Now, with his hands trembling and his eyes wide, Arturo felt the exact same god-like current tearing through his veins that his father had carried years ago. He finally understood the impossible psychological weight Dragarion had borne.

The energy did not affect everyone uniformly. It twisted and amplified the deepest, most inherent traits of the hostʼs psychology.

Minʼs laid-back, joking nature violently expanded. The energy hijacked his nervous system, amplifying his humor until it bordered on manic. He stood in the shadows, chuckling softly to himself for absolutely no rational reason, a wide, unsettling grin plastered across his face despite the circumstances.

Victor, on the other hand, was fighting a terrifying internal war. His predatory instincts, honed by years of commanding the aerial vanguard, were multiplied by ten-fold. His jaw was clenched so tight his teeth threatened to shatter. He felt an almost uncontrollable, bloodthirsty urge to fight in the front line, to launch himself out of the cavern, tear the sky open, and physically rip the mechanical artifact apart with his bare hands.

Everyone in the room felt that bizarre, intoxicating expansion, the seductive, whispering promise that they could achieve infinitely more than they ever thought possible.

But the absolute most violent reactions were reserved for Ren, the girls, and Sirius.

Because they were intimately tethered to Renʼs ethereal network, the primordial energy did not just seep into them; it crashed into their systems like a tidal wave of shared sensations. They experienced the current with a hyper-concentrated intensity. It was an explosive sensory overload that was vastly more difficult to suppress and contain.

Luna was suffering the most.

The delicate, meticulously cultivated equilibrium she maintained between her two contracted beasts was instantly shattered. Her shadow wolf, exposed to the unfathomable density of the alien energy, went completely feral. Like a devourer that was starving... The beast pulled frantically against the tethers of her soul with a violent, insatiable greed, desperately attempting to devour the internal energy.

It was even aggressively siphoning the mana needed to balance her tiger. It was as if the ancient current had forcefully awakened a primordial appetite within the shadow beast that Luna usually kept heavily sedated. She dropped to one knee, grinding her teeth in resisting agony, sweat pouring down her porcelain face as she fought to leash the monster inside her.

And then there was Sirius.

Ren, Wei, and Sirius himself had all genuinely believed that the man had been one hundred percent cured of his corruption. They believed that the grueling, meticulous purification process they had executed following his reversion had scoured away every last trace of Selthiaʼs rot.

But now, illuminated by the blinding, high-density energy flooding his system, a terrifying flaw became glaringly visible.

Buried at the absolute deepest, darkest center of Siriusʼs core, a microscopic, jagged line clung to his soul. It was so incredibly thin, so perfectly concealed, that it had successfully evaded every single diagnostic scan they had ever run.

It wasnʼt a lingering thread of corruption. It was just a very small structural fracture... A tiny scar.

Ren recognized it instantly, because he carried the exact same type of wound inside his own chest.

Back when Ren had forcefully slammed the door shut on the corruption tethered to Siriusʼs core, he hadnʼt possessed the knowledge to permanently ʼcauterizeʼ the connection. He had only managed to force the door closed tightly. But when a door is slammed shut, a hairline fracture always remains, a microscopic seam where two pieces of a core are forcefully glued together but never truly fuse. Sirius still possessed this seam.

It was tiny… It was practically nothing.

But it was there.

Fortunately, it wasnʼt a cause for immediate panic. The scar in Siriusʼs core was so incredibly small that it wasnʼt even close to spiraling out of control. As long as the veteran maintained a flawless, ironclad grip on the forbidden energy flooding his veins, the fracture would not expand. He just needed to exercise absolute control over his emotions and his mana flow.

♢♢♢♢

The true problem belonged entirely to Ren.

His internal damage was vastly more severe than Siriusʼs. Ren had violently forced his own scar open and slammed it shut countless times during his brutal, drawn-out war against the corruption. He had stretched the fracture to its absolute breaking point. And while his mastery over the purple corruption mana was significantly better now than it had been in the past, attempting to control it while simultaneously harboring a massively intense, primordial energy was a completely different equation.

The combination was almost lethal.

The suffocating density of the pillarʼs energy, stacked on top of the rotting network that constantly knocked at his door and sought to consume him from the outside, pressed against the old scar in his system with unprecedented, crushing force.

Thick, jagged lines of glowing purple corruption began to physically manifest across Renʼs chest, crawling up his heart like a web of poisoned veins.

But Ren watched the lines spread with cold detachment. He meticulously regulated his absorption rate, his perfect control acting as a dam while the colossal energy pooled in his core. He was able to resist even more… And he was no longer operating at one hundred percent capacity.

He was at two hundred percent.

The girls noticed the small purple veins energy instantly. Their terrified reprimands echoed through the cavern, their voices pitching with genuine panic as they felt the sheer, suicidal volume of ether he had just dragged into his aura.

But Ren raised a hand, instantly silencing the room before the panic could spread.
