Teaming Up with My Enemy to Rule the Apocalypse

Sierra Sullivan paid Leo Lowell no mind, looking only at Candice Tate. ”Candice, wait a moment. I’m going to get the seeds.”

”Okay!”

Candice Tate agreed obediently and sat down on the sofa.

Seeing Leo Lowell still standing there motionless, Candice Tate waved him over. ”Hey, what are you standing there for? Come sit with me! You don’t have to be so formal!”

Her expression was very serious as she said this, and her tone seemed remarkably mature.

A normal child wouldn’t act like that.

It was clear Candice Tate was just mimicking someone else.

But she was so cute that her feigned maturity wasn’t annoying at all. In fact, it just made her seem even more adorable.

Leo Lowell had been a little nervous, but seeing Candice Tate act this way, he suddenly relaxed and sat down a short distance away from her.

A moment later, Sierra Sullivan emerged from the room holding a basin.

Leo Lowell’s face filled with confusion when he saw Sierra Sullivan come out with a basin.

But soon, as Sierra Sullivan placed the basin on the table, Leo Lowell got a clear look at what was inside.

It was a basin full of seeds.

”Candice, we can start now!”

Then, Sierra Sullivan turned to Leo Lowell. ”I forgot to ask earlier, how big is your space?”

Leo Lowell, who had been relatively relaxed, instantly sat bolt upright at Sierra Sullivan’s question, his whole body tensing.

”I... I’m already Second Level. My space is forty meters long, forty meters wide, and forty meters high.”

Sierra Sullivan subconsciously raised an eyebrow. ’That big?’

But the thought lasted only a moment.

Her surprise quickly turned to delight.

’Of course, the bigger the space, the better!’

That way, they wouldn’t have to worry about running out of room for the supplies Candice Tate produced.

Sierra Sullivan nodded. ”Alright, I get it. In a little while, just store the fruits and vegetables Candice Tate grows directly in your space. If you two coordinate, you should be able to work pretty quickly. Remember to let Candice know when your space is almost full.”

Leo Lowell listened intently. As soon as Sierra Sullivan finished speaking, he hurried to say, ”I understand! I’ll be sure to coordinate well with Candice.”

Even though Candice Tate was just a five-year-old girl, Leo Lowell didn’t find it strange at all to be saying this.

Sierra Sullivan nodded and looked over at Candice Tate.

Without a word, just a single glance was enough for Candice Tate to understand what she meant.

Candice Tate grabbed a handful of seeds and was instantly in the zone.

Watching from the sidelines, Leo Lowell saw the seeds sprout and grow with his own eyes. Within a matter of breaths, they had flowered and borne fruit. Unable to contain his shock, his jaw dropped.

He had heard of Candice Tate before.

He knew she was incredibly powerful.

After all, as a Space System Superpower User, he had received his share of the fruits and vegetables Candice Tate had grown before.

But hearing about it and seeing it firsthand were two completely different things.

Besides, he had a feeling that the Candice Tate before him was even more incredible than the rumors suggested.

If Sierra Sullivan knew what Leo Lowell was thinking, she would have surely given him a look of confirmation.

His feeling wasn’t wrong.

Candice Tate was indeed much more powerful now.

After all, Candice Tate was now a Third Level Superpower User.

In terms of Superpower Level alone, Candice Tate’s power was even greater than her own.

’And I’m only a Second Level!’

At this thought, Sierra Sullivan felt a sigh coming on. ’Looks like I need to set aside some time to train my Superpower.’

Just as she was thinking this, she heard footsteps approaching from behind.

Without even turning around, Sierra Sullivan knew it had to be Jayce.

Sure enough, his voice sounded the very next moment.

”Sierra, I’ll keep an eye on things here. You should go to your room and train.”

The corners of Sierra Sullivan’s mouth lifted the moment she heard his words.

’We’re on the same wavelength!’

’I was just thinking about training!’

”Okay!”

Sierra Sullivan agreed, looking up at Jayce as he reached her side. ”Then I’ll leave it to you!”

”There’s no need for that between us. Now, go on!”

Sierra Sullivan said no more and went straight to the master bedroom.

After locking the door from the inside, Sierra Sullivan began to train right there, without entering her personal space.

When one was completely focused on training, it was impossible to notice one’s surroundings.

Especially since the house had excellent soundproofing.

Unless there was an extremely loud noise, once the door was shut, you couldn’t hear a thing.

Sierra Sullivan lost track of time, aware only of absorbing one Crystal Core after another.

The Superpower within her gradually swelled, making her entire body feel distended.

But the sensation wasn’t unpleasant.

Sierra Sullivan knew she had reached the threshold for her Superpower to level up.

If she could just break through, her Superpower would advance to the Third Level.

Sierra Sullivan took out the largest Crystal Core she had and clutched it tightly in her palm.

’Absorbing this Crystal Core and successfully advancing to the Third Level shouldn’t be a problem.’

...

「In the living room.」

After three hours, Leo Lowell’s initial shock had turned to numbness.

Even the act of storing supplies in his space had become a subconscious motion.

’He had guessed Candice Tate was powerful, but he never expected her to be *this* powerful!’

Others couldn’t see it, but he could clearly sense that his enormous space was now four-fifths full.

At this rate, it would probably be completely full in another half hour.

Although storing items didn’t consume much of his Superpower, repeating the same motion over and over was still exhausting.

But when he looked at Candice Tate, her fair, cherubic face still wore a relaxed smile, showing no signs of fatigue whatsoever.

She was even popping snacks into her mouth with one hand while diligently growing plants with the other.

’Multitasking!’

’Is this really just a five-year-old kid?’

’A kid this powerful... what does that say about an adult like me?’

Leo Lowell secretly glanced at Jayce, only to find him engrossed in a book, seemingly completely unfazed by the scene unfolding before him.

Leo Lowell looked away and let out a long sigh.

’I shouldn’t make such a big deal out of it. I should just accept it and get used to it!’

’Right... as if!’

’I can’t accept it at all!’

’And there’s no way I can get used to it this quickly!’

As Leo Lowell’s mind raced with these scattered thoughts, he suddenly found he could no longer store any more items.

Startled, Leo Lowell quickly checked his space, only to be astonished to find that it had filled up without him even noticing!

’How is that possible?!’

’I just thought it would take another half an hour!’

’Has it only been a few minutes?’

Tomatoes and cucumbers, all still on the vine, were now piled up around Candice Tate.

When Leo Lowell didn’t store them, Candice Tate paused, tilting her little head to look at him. ”Hey, what’s wrong?”

Leo Lowell was speechless.

’If I tell her my space is full, will I sound totally useless?’
