Chapter 4633: All Survival Techniques

The long stagnant Immortal Dao finally began to boil.

The changes in the Immortal Dao within the Spell Domain became the catalyst for Lin Moyu’s enlightenment.

Becoming the enemy of heaven and earth, cut off from all the world’s rules, cleared away any interference allowing Lin Moyu to see his Immortal Dao with perfect clarity.

His Immortal Dao existed only within himself, not within the world or heavens.

Every inch of his being brimmed with the Immortal Dao’s power.

He mastered even the smallest trace of it; life and death should, by rights, be under his sole command so why should the limit of extremes be necessary to control them?

Within his realization, almost like self hypnosis, Lin Moyu told himself: he could utterly master the forces of life and death, penetrate to the deepest essence of the Immortal Dao.

All his previous understanding was just the surface; now he turned inward, aiming to understand both life and death, to truly wield life and death at will.

Unnoticed, a ring appeared around Lin Moyu gray and white, spinning perpetually.

At first, gray and white were sharply divided without interference, but soon they began to blend and collide sometimes more white for life, sometimes more gray for death.

White turned gray, gray turned white they kept changing, colliding, unleashing astonishing power.

The life and death ring, forged from the Dao, spun about Lin Moyu, its radiance warping the void itself.

The power of death did not shatter space by force, but withers it; when death was declared, the space itself died and crumbled.

This kind of shattering was hard to heal, even for world laws.

Afterward, life energy swept across, reviving what had withered and collapsed restoring the space to perfect health. The parts touched by life force became especially stable, starkly contrasting nearby void.

But in the next breath, the space influenced by life was again shattered, and life and death continued transforming.

So the Immortal Dao grew quickly in this dance of death and rebirth.

Within the gray white ring, life and death merged completely each within the other. The switching of life and death occurred entirely at Lin Moyu’s whim.

His enlightenment didn’t last long barely ten minutes, but in that time, the Immortal Dao grew dozens of times more powerful.

Comprehending the Dao works like that: tens of thousands or millions of years without a step, then, upon clarity, growth leaps by ten or a hundred.

Lin Moyu slowly awoke, muttering, “This is the true use of the Immortal Dao life and death in a thought, controlling both. If I don’t wish to die, I am eternal.”

The Immortal Dao could well be termed the Life and Death Dao, for it brimmed with their combined might.

Yet Lin Moyu preferred “Immortal Dao” if truly mastered, it rendered him deathless and indestructible.

If life and death constantly turn into each other, how can one die? Any power strong enough to kill him would just become new vitality.

So, it should be called the Immortal Dao this name is more apt than Life and Death Dao.

Controlling life and death is just a side ability. Its real power is guaranteeing survival.

Lin Moyu took a deep breath, dispersing the life death circle, letting it merge into himself.

His realm hadn’t changed, but he knew he’d be almost impossible to kill now; any death power just created more life within him. At least in this world, no one could threaten him.

Looking back, he realized his first gains from the Spell Domain’s evolution and the Immortal Dao’s enlightenment were all survival techniques.

It was odd, he thought, that someone unafraid of death would constantly gain ways of survival. Yet, that was the amusing truth.

“Perhaps, not wanting to die is my deepest wish.”

He shifted his focus back to the Spell Domain, sensing a new spell about to form.

Shortly after, a new message came: his third spell was complete!

[Heaven Shattering Earth Cracking: Can detonate all things in heaven and earth, unleashing their stored power at once; can blend in the Life and Death Dao, either destroying an enemy or creating something new.]

Lin Moyu was stunned.

This spell clearly evolved from “Corpse Explosion.”

Previously, Corpse Explosion slew the living, detonating dead bodies to kill those of equal strength, crushing all resistance.

Corpse Explosion had carried him to his present height its utility enormous.

Since acquiring it, Corpse Explosion kept growing stronger, less restricted and more powerful, though its essence never really changed.

Now, it had undergone true transformation maybe its only one ever.

Lin Moyu sensed that this spell was Corpse Explosion’s truest form.

Who said explosions could only kill? They could do other things too.

For example, the birth of a world springs from a colossal explosion.

Now, this spell could blow up anything no longer limited to corpses.

Any ownerless treasure, any material, a whole domain, even the remains of a world, could be detonated with this spell.

When detonating, he could choose between the force of death or life.

Use death harness destructive might, deadly as always, stronger even than before.

Use life shift life and death, enable healing.

If the target is world remains…

“Does that mean this spell can create a world…?”

Lin Moyu was shocked, but then found the idea a bit laughable.

How could anyone create a world? Even if his idea worked, at best he might revive a dead world not creation, but resurrection.

Of course, even reviving a dead world would need many more unknown conditions.

He shared the spell with Chaos Gem: “I’d like your opinion.”

Chaos Gem, who had witnessed many world births and deaths, grew thoughtful.

He became serious, “I’ve seen worlds born and die. You’re right every world begins with a vast explosion. I’ve seen that countless times.”

“It’s always been a mystery: a minuscule point, for no apparent reason, suddenly erupts, then the world unfolds.

But I’ve never understood why the point explodes I’ve considered countless explanations, like ’extremes breed reversals,’ but none are convincing.

I just sense there must be a reason, but I never found it.”

“If you reach the forbidden zone of life, Master, you could try to recreate that process maybe then you’d understand.”

It was true; just considering such a thing was premature until he reached the forbidden zone of life.

“There’ll be a chance.”
