**Chapter 1032: Obsession Becomes the Soul, Laws Become the Body**

The spirit stone emitted a peculiar aura outwards, like waves rippling in all directions.

Within a thousand kilometers, a few fiery lights lit up.

The flames shone in five colors, clearly visible in the starry sky.

These fiery markings from the spirit stone indicated the locations of the strange creatures in this star system.

Within a thousand kilometer radius, there were a total of four strange creatures.

The nearest one was only a little over a hundred kilometers away.

“Let’s go!”

Lin Moyu was very interested in the strange creatures, as there was not much information about them in the records, only that they were bizarre products formed from the collision of laws.

Strange creature was just a general term – the strange creatures born from different types and levels of laws could be vastly different and possess varying strengths.

The strange creatures in this star system were only at the fourth-tier true god level, occasionally reaching the fifth tier.

But even at the fourth-tier true god, they were extremely powerful in Gu Qingxuan’s eyes.

She was confident she could handle them, but would need to go all out.

Hence, Gu Qingxuan was a bit tense, her body taut as she began gathering power.

Unlike Lin Moyu, who appeared completely relaxed, as if the strange creatures were not a concern at all.

When they were still 10 kilometers away from the nearest strange creature, the two stopped.

On a broken asteroid, Lin Moyu saw this strange creature.

It had four tentacle-like appendages, each composed of a different law.

Its body was a spherical mist, pulsating and changing within the fiery light.

“It’s called a creature, yet it has no life aura,” said Lin Moyu.

“It also has no physical body, being completely formed of laws, multiple chaotic laws combined.”

“But strangely, it possesses a soul, which is why it’s barely considered a creature…”

Lin Moyu analyzed based on his observations.

Gu Qingxuan said, “Its soul must have evolved from the lingering will of the dead.”

Lin Moyu had a different view. “It doesn’t seem so. If that were the case, it should have some consciousness. The true experts, even if only a shred of will remains, could be reborn after eons.”

“But it doesn’t have that, so I think its soul was born from obsession.”

Gu Qingxuan felt Lin Moyu’s reasoning made more sense.

From the strange creature, she could only sense a chaotic aura, not the clarity Lin Moyu perceived.

Lin Moyu said softly, “Just observing won’t do, let me test what’s so strange about it. I’ll go take a look, you stay back for now.”

Lin Moyu flew forward, Gu Qingxuan worriedly called out, “Be careful.”

“It’ll be fine.”

Lin Moyu wasn’t worried at all, this strange creature was merely at the fourth-tier true god level, nothing to be concerned about. He had full confidence in his defenses.

When he was a thousand meters away from the strange creature, it detected Lin Moyu’s presence.

Its four tentacles, previously still, suddenly began dancing wildly.

This abrupt transition from extreme stillness to extreme motion was incredibly fast.

In the blink of an eye, the strange creature a thousand meters away had appeared right before Lin Moyu.

“Such speed!”

Lin Moyu was startled, the strange creature’s speed far exceeded his expectations.

It was like teleportation, too fast for even him to perceive clearly.

This abnormal speed should not be possible at the true god realm.

The four tentacles lashed out like whips, but Lin Moyu didn’t try to block, simply retreating.

Strangely, the tentacles’ attack speed was not fast at all, allowing Lin Moyu to easily evade them.

But as Lin Moyu retreated, the strange creature seemed to teleport again, reappearing before him.

The four tentacles continued their previous assault seamlessly, as if they had raised their “swords” to strike a thousand meters away, and though they had only swung halfway, in 0.1 seconds they moved the full thousand meters while continuing the unfinished strike.

A brilliant white light shone around Lin Moyu as his bone armor automatically activated, shimmering brightly.

The four-star spell formation was triggered, instantly manifesting a layer of white bones around the strange creature, freezing it in place.

The bone fangs and bone spears erupted simultaneously, tearing the strange creature apart in a blinding flash.

Lin Moyu found that the strange creature’s attack power was actually not that strong, even weaker than a typical fourth-tier true god cultivator.

Its defenses were similarly lacking, inferior to a fourth-tier true god.

“Weak offense and defense, attack speed is also not fast, only its movement speed is bizarre,” analyzed Lin Moyu.

“Combined with that movement ability, its attacks are hard to evade.”

He noticed the fiery mark from the spirit stone still remained, indicating the creature was not dead.

Sure enough, half a second later, the shredded strange creature reassembled, reappearing intact.

However, Lin Moyu realized it was not completely unharmed.

Compared to before, it seemed weaker now.

Previously each tentacle was around 50 meters long, but now only 45 meters, also thinner.

“So it did take damage. A few more kills and it should be destroyed for good.”

As Lin Moyu pondered, the strange creature attacked again.

The bone armor flashed, shredding it apart, only for it to quickly revive and attack endlessly.

It had no thoughts, simply seeing Lin Moyu as an enemy to kill.

But this only led to the bone armor and four-star spell formation ruthlessly countering.

At the moment of its demise, a piercing scream entered the soul world.

Kill!

Lin Moyu heard an enraged roar filled with killing intent, coalescing into the word “kill” that crashed against his soul world. But his soul world remained unmoved, easily deflecting the killing intent.

“As I thought, an obsession!” Lin Moyu chuckled lightly.

With obsession as its soul, and laws as its body – that was the true nature of the strange creature.

Exactly as Lin Moyu had deduced.

But this was just one case, he couldn’t confirm if other strange creatures were the same.

He would need to test a few more times.

With the strange creature’s true death, the fiery mark from the spirit stone also vanished.

Gu Qingxuan flew over, “How was it?”

Lin Moyu smiled faintly, “No problem, I’ll go test a few more times.”

Lin Moyu headed towards another strange creature about 300 kilometers away.

Just like before, he used himself as bait for experimentation.

This strange creature had a different appearance than the previous one.

Its entire form resembled a sharp arrow, around five meters long, with a pointed arrowhead and stabilizing feathers at the rear. Its speed was even faster, attacking like a piercing arrow.

But with Lin Moyu’s bone armor protection, it too could not escape the linked spell formation’s counterattack. Lin Moyu swiftly moved on to the location of the third strange creature.

Gu Qingxuan silently followed behind, not interrupting Lin Moyu.
