Catastrophic necromancer

**Chapter 863: Fake Play Becomes Real, Stepping into Half-Step Super God**

Shu Lin Muyu did not tell Meng Anwen the truth this time. The fewer people who know about this play, the better.

From Meng Anwen’s words, it was clear that the Demon Emperor had indeed shown restraint. Many were injured, but not many were killed. It affected morale but did not deliver a fatal blow.

Lin Muyu promised to go to the abyss and fight the Demon Emperor within the next two days. After Meng Anwen left, Ning Yiyi and the other three surrounded him.

Ning Yiyi held Lin Muyu’s hand, “Is it okay to hide this from Grandpa Meng?”

Ning Yiyi and the other three were aware of Lin Muyu’s play with the Demon Emperor.

Mo Yun was also worried, “Isn’t this supposed to sharpen the blade? But now the human race’s morale is gone, doesn’t that make sharpening the blade meaningless?”

Lin Muyu smiled slightly and took out a large knife. His palm turned into gold and iron, and he stroked the blade. The blade immediately emitted a sharp aura, as if it had been sharpened.

“After sharpening, the blade becomes sharp.”

“But if I keep sharpening…”

Lin Muyu sharpened it a few more times, and the blade became sharper and then cracked with a bang.

Shu Han smiled, “Husband means that the blade needs to be sharpened, but there must be a limit, otherwise it will break.”

Lin Muyu smiled slightly, “Too much steel is easy to break!”

“I admit, I was too optimistic at first. This war went too smoothly, and initially, it did sharpen the blade, but later it became blindly arrogant.”

“And I also have selfish motives. This time, I plan to be selfish.”

As his strength increased and he came into contact with a larger world, his vision also broadened. Lin Muyu’s mindset had subtly changed. Seeing this world as a chessboard, Lin Muyu had gradually shifted from being a chess piece to becoming a chess player. He had a greater sense of the big picture and knew better what to do to gain the most benefit.

How to keep the human race always at its most vigorous, but not blindly arrogant. Lin Muyu thought a lot and knew what to do. Perhaps there would be some casualties in the process, just like sharpening a blade, always scraping off the surface shavings. These minor damages were unavoidable.

Ning Yiyi and the other three could understand Lin Muyu’s words and sympathize with his thoughts. Over the years of marriage, Lin Muyu had shared a lot with them, broadening their horizons as well. Seeing a different world naturally changed their thoughts. Moreover, they supported Lin Muyu unconditionally.

Two days later, Lin Muyu arrived at the abyss. The abyss demons were fighting fiercely with the human army. The Demon Emperor had also taken action, and the human army was retreating step by step, in a very unfavorable situation. The human race’s morale was low, and although they resisted with all their might, they were somewhat powerless.

Lin Muyu’s arrival was very high-profile, with an undead army of over a million charging like a tsunami. Each member of the undead army had the combat power of a half-step super god. The demons fell like wheat, instantly suffering countless casualties. His appearance instantly changed the battlefield situation.

All the human warriors exclaimed.

“It’s General Lin! General Lin is here!”

“General Lin is so powerful, his undead army is much stronger than the demons.”

“Even the Demon King can’t stop him, he will be killed in an instant.”

“How ridiculous I thought we could compare with Lin Muyu if we worked together, what a joke!”

“Indeed, it’s laughable. Even if we are tied together, we are not as good as General Lin!”

“General Lin is truly the strongest of our human race. With him, why worry about the abyss not being pacified!”

Lin Muyu felt the power of faith becoming strong again. His appearance changed the battlefield situation and shocked everyone. The power of faith not only returned to its previous level but was even stronger than before.

Lin Muyu’s heart moved slightly, and many insights surged into his mind. A wisp of the Undead Law appeared in the small hand of his soul. This time, the Undead Law did not dissipate but slowly rotated in the small hand of his soul. The Undead Law seemed to have become his private property, marked with his own label. This was a sign of controlling the law.

Lin Muyu’s heart beat violently twice, “The power of faith…”

He did not expect that the power of faith would have such an effect. The barrier that had been preventing his breakthrough was pierced with the help of the power of faith. Lin Muyu realized that the power of faith was indeed a good thing. Since that was the case, he would play the full set.

The more power of faith, the better.

The Demon Emperor’s shadow appeared in mid-air, and as agreed, the Demon Emperor attacked Lin Muyu. The momentum was immense, energy surged, and the laws roared. The terrifying pressure of the Demon Emperor swept out, suppressing all the human professionals, making them shiver. Only Lin Muyu was unaffected and fought fiercely with the Demon Emperor.

The undead army fought alongside Lin Muyu, besieging the Demon Emperor. The battle was real, not fake at all. At this moment, the Demon Emperor did not hold back at all. This was also agreed upon in advance, a fake play becoming real.

The aftermath of the battle injured all the human professionals, scaring them into retreating quickly. The undead army also arrived in time to resist the impact for the human army.

“General Lin is so great, fighting the Demon Emperor and still protecting us.”

“I used to think General Lin was just so-so, how shameful.”

“Yes, I really want to dig a hole and hide, it’s too embarrassing.”

“I’ve decided, from now on, General Lin is my idol, and my descendants will take General Lin as their role model.”

Many people swore, worshiping Lin Muyu immensely.

The power of faith increased again, reaching an unprecedented level. Various insights into the laws came one after another. Finally, a wisp of the Undead Law entered the small hand of his soul. Lin Muyu trembled all over, feeling a fusion with the law, as if part of it had become one with him. As this wisp of the law merged into his soul, his soul power increased sharply.

Lin Muyu’s whole body shone brightly, completing the breakthrough in battle, stepping into the half-step super god realm. After becoming a half-step super god, Lin Muyu’s combat power increased sharply. Even with just one percent control of the law, the power was much stronger than before. His combat power increased sharply, and the “battle” with the Demon Emperor came to an end.

In a full-force clash, a big hole was blasted in the sky. Behind the big hole was the dark and deep endless void. Lin Muyu returned from the void, looking unscathed. But the Demon Emperor was nowhere to be seen. Everyone who saw this knew that Lin Muyu had won, and the Demon Emperor had been driven away. The demons were also completely defeated under the slaughter of the undead army. The human army finally won again after continuous defeats.

This victory was brought by Lin Muyu, who turned the tide. This battle proved Lin Muyu’s strength, showing that he was even stronger than Emperor Di. Lin Muyu once again became a legend of the human race, the strongest existence, invincible. When this news spread back to the human world, more and more people began to worship and admire Lin Muyu. The power of faith grew stronger and stronger.

Lin Muyu had discovered a benefit of the power of faith: it could accelerate his understanding of the laws. Lin Muyu did not stay long in the abyss world. After greeting Meng Anwen and others, he returned to the human world. Meng Anwen also understood that the battles in the abyss world still had to be handled by them. Lin Muyu only solved the Demon Emperor for them, and the other demons still had to be dealt with by them. Lin Muyu could not protect them forever; ultimately, they had to rely on themselves.

Meng Anwen looked at the human army with high morale, deep in thought, “I think something is not right.”
