Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1074: The End of Ultimatum

The walk to Constanceʼs Arcane Tower was filled with laughter as the three couldnʼt help but talk about those dragons.

”I swear,” Odessa muttered, ”if one of them challenges me tomorrow, Iʼm dragging Ryzoir into it.”

Constance smirked. ”Heʼll probably enjoy that.”

Lisa chuckled. ”Letʼs just survive today. Coffee first. Then the strategy. Who knows, maybe a Vampire can win against a Dragon…”

Although the chances werenʼt in her favor, Lisa hoped that she could still fight a Dragon.

”Oh? Look what we have here…” Lisa muttered.

As they turned the final corner, the Arcane Tower came into view. It was tall, elegant, and protected by various Formation Arrays.

But someone was already waiting at the gate.

A hooded female figure stood silently. Her presence was subtle but unmistakable.

She hadnʼt triggered any alerts. No wards were activated, and no traces of arcane energy rippled.

Of course, she hadnʼt. She was Maya Featherstar. She was a follower of the Goddess of Concealment for a reason.

Furthermore, she wasnʼt just any member of the Church of the Lord of the Secrets, but her status was as high as the Archbishop because of her special ability…

Odessa slowed after seeing her... ”Sheʼs early.”

Constance smiled. ”Sheʼs always early... But still… Isnʼt this too quick for her? Did she already heard about the Dragons?”

Lisa, on the other hand, just waved. ”Maya.”

The two of them were classmates before, after all.

The hooded figure turned, then stepped forward. As she reached them, she pulled back her hood, revealing her black hair and sharp gaze.

”I thought youʼd arrive sooner…” Maya said.

”We thought youʼd sneak in and wait inside.” Odessa replied.

”I considered it,” Maya said. ”But I figured Iʼd let the Arrays inside rest today.”

Constance unlocked the gate with a flick of her fingers. ”You didnʼt trigger anything. Not even a trace.”

”Iʼm still careful… But I noticed that your arrays are getting better and better. I might fail to bypass them soon.” Maya said with a laugh.

Soon, they stepped inside together as the gate started closing behind them.

Despite her quiet entrance, none of them were surprised.

Maya was a Chaos Alchemist, the creator of the Philosopherʼs Elixir, after all.

Inside the tower, the lounge on the third floor was already warm with ambient light. Soon, the scent of Constanceʼs enchanted coffee blend wafted through the room…

Odessa glanced at Maya. ”Youʼre not here just to relax, are you?”

”No,” Maya said. ”But Iʼm not here to interfere either. For now… Iʼm just catching up.”

Lisa smiled. ”Then letʼs catch up properly. Weʼve earned it.”

Constance pushed open the lounge door. ”And Iʼve got cinnamon roast waiting.”

Maya stepped inside, her gaze sweeping the room once before she nodded.

”Good. Letʼs talk.”

After two hours, the four girls were still chatting…

”I still remember when you nearly blew up the alchemy lab…” Odessa said, nudging Maya with a grin.

Maya raised an eyebrow. ”That was a controlled reaction.”

Lisa heard about this as well when Maya was still connected to Dark Arts Clan. ”You melted half the floor, right?”

”It was a prototype,” Maya replied smoothly. ”Besides, the floor was poorly enchanted.”

Constance leaned back, sipping her coffee. ”You havenʼt changed.”

Maya gave a faint smile. ”Neither have you. This Arcane Tower… I hope Vale will help me build one as well. My place inside the Church is starting to get cramped.”

”Ohhh~ You should ask him once he returns. He mentioned that once heʼs back, heʼll become the strongest.” Constance said proudly.

”Right… This had dozens of protections now… Even the dragons would struggle to breach them.”

As the discussion continued, Mayaʼs gaze drifted toward the window, where she could still see the Shadow Domain barrier...

Then she spoke…

”Thereʼs something you should know.”

The room stilled as the three others looked at her.

Maya set her cup down gently. ”The Church has been quiet lately… and itʼs because of something weʼve done.”

Constance narrowed her eyes. ”What do you mean?”

Maya looked at each of them in turn. ”Thereʼs a Void Immortal within the Church.”

Silence gripped the lounge as Maya revealed such important news.

Odessa blinked. ”Wait… what?”

Lisa sat up straighter. ”Youʼre not serious.”

Even Constanceʼs hand froze mid-reach for her cup.

Lisa leaned forward, her expression darkening as she recalled how Vale described these Void Immortals.

”A Void Immortal?” Odessa said slowly. ”Inside the Church?”

Maya nodded once. ”Not officially. Not publicly. But heʼs there.”

Constance set her cup down and sighed.. ”You didnʼt say his name.”

”I wonʼt…” Maya replied. ”His name is not even important. It might even be just an alias. And heʼs… interested.”

Lisaʼs voice dropped. ”Interested in what?”

Maya met her gaze. ”Vale.”

Odessa stood and paced toward the window. ”I heard from Sir Haruo that Void Immortals donʼt take interest in people. They take interest in power…”

Constanceʼs voice was low. ”And Vale is both.”

Lisa frowned. ”Does Vale know?”

Constance was the one who answered this… ”I think he suspects. But I donʼt know how much heʼs seen. But from our previous conversation. Heʼs aware of the ones targeting him.”

Odessa rubbed her temple and sighed. ”I hope that the Church will not try anything funny with the Void Immortal.”

”I can still influence their decision to some extent… But I think the church also wanted to use the Void Immortals in case weʼre targeted by the Chaos Immortals.” Maya said. ”Furthermore, the Lord of the Secrets doesnʼt forbid Void alignment…”

Odessa turned from the window. ”Then we need to be careful.”

Lisa nodded. ”If a Void Immortal wanted Vale, it means heʼs already calculated something. Either a threat… or an opportunity.”

The discussion continued for some time before the four women left the tower in different directions.

Several days passed…

The Shadow Domain remained stable, reinforced by new formations and the presence of the eight dragons.

Odessa, Constance, Lisa, and Maya continued their coordination, quietly reinforcing defenses and monitoring the situation...

The dragons remained in their estate, adjusting to the Realmʼs rhythm, while Orden and Ryzoir maintained the anchor formations.

But everyone knew what was coming.

The Chaos Immortals had issued a seven-day ultimatum.

And now, the final day had ended.
