Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1067: Angel vs Void Immortal

From the plaza to the rooftops, from the market stalls to the guild halls, Clovis City froze at the appearance of the Immortal who tore through the space…

The man who stepped out of the tear was definitely a being they could not mess with.

Still, before everyone could panic or worry about its appearance, it didnʼt take long before another figure rose.

An angel.

This angel ascended with radiant wings, with his armor etched with runes that were certainly at the celestial rank… He emitted divinity that calmed everyone down.

He hovered above the city, facing the intruder calmly…

”Void Immortal… what brings you to our skies?” These words from the angel brought calmness to their minds.

However, this also confirmed that the one who had just appeared was uninvited and he could be an enemy.

In the meantime, the people below couldnʼt help but feel a little nervous.

This was true especially for the

”He tore the sky… he tore it open. Thatʼs actually possible…”

”Wait… She said Void Immortal?!”

”Before that… We actually have an angel? A real one?”

Vendors dropped their crates. One man clutched his Spirit Talismans and whispered prayers. A woman selling enchanted herbs fell to her knees…

The appearance of angels was only known in various statues within the Orthodox churches. Their presence was definitely connected to Shadow Immortal.

”An angel… Thatʼs an angel! From the old legends!”

”Is this the end? Are we under attack?”

”No… Donʼt you understand? Sheʼs protecting us!”

Scholars from the Library of Clovis City rushed outside as they also witnessed the confrontation.

”That sigil… heʼs not from any known faction!”

”Void energy… Itʼs real. Itʼs not theoretical anymore!”

Arcanists from the Dueling Grounds stopped mid-duel. One of them dropped his staff. They were students of the Marshall Academy, and they were allowed to access the 16 Arcane Towers at some point for a trial.

One of the 16 Towers was the Void Tower. This made them aware of how the Void Energy truly felt.

”Lord Chad was telling the truth… We have an angel too.”

”I believe we have more than one. We definitely have plenty of angels on our side. I know that for sure. No wonder the Chaos Immortals havenʼt dared to strike here.”

Forbes stood frozen, his eyes locked on the sky. Now, it truly made sense why the Chaos Immortals, despite there being 300 of them, were being cautious and werenʼt attacking the Shadow Domain.

Aside from the obviously Draconic Energy within the domain, they actually have Angels as well.

Riven whispered, ”I thought angels were extinct…”

Emraʼs voice trembled. ”Thatʼs actually a real one. Incredible…”

Forbes nodded slowly. ”This city… itʼs more than we thought.”

The children from the dockyard stared upward, some crying, others pointing. The young Arcanists gathered in clusters, shielding the civilians, unsure whether to prepare for battle or simply watch.

Soon, they saw that the Angel seemed to start arguing with the Void Immortal.

They couldnʼt hear their conversation as it was far up in the sky, but they could tell that it was not going well.

***

Soon, they noticed that the Void Immortal decided to finally act…

He raised his hand, and a black void or hole appeared, and it hovered above Clovis City like a brand.

The angel didnʼt wait. He swiftly moved and shot forward with his sword raised.

The Void Immortal responded instantly.

There was no chanting or summoning as he simply vanished and reappeared behind the Angel with his palm extended.

A pulse of void energy exploded outward.

Whom

The angel twisted mid-air, deflecting the blast with his sword… Everyone witnessed as the shockwave shattered the clouds, sending wind and dust across the city.

At this time, Constance, the Spirit Immortal, rose from the western district.

She was actually busy creating another Spell, but the appearance of the Void Immortal disturbed her.

She couldnʼt calmly create an Immortal Spell Model with the situation outside.

Still, she only watched the battle and didnʼt interfere. Not yet.

She just held her Staff and gathered Divinity as if waiting for an opportunity.

She watched the angel fight with her, her sword slicing through the air.

The Void Immortal dodged with his robes trailing shadows that warped space itself…

ʼTheyʼre just assessing our strength I guess.ʼ Constance thought.

Vale and her had always been aware that the threat wasnʼt just the Chaos Immortals but also the Void Immortals.

They were both exiled after all. However, the exile of the Void Immortals was more thoroughly done compared to the Chaos Immortals.

They clashed again.

The angel struck with his holy smite, and it was backed by Divinity…

The Void Immortal countered with his unique Void Spells, making those attacks almost useless.

As the battle continued, one strike sent the angel crashing into the upper barrier of the City.

Still, the Formation Barrier was triggered and perfectly absorbed the impact.

He recovered instantly, and his wings folded inward before he burst outward with a shockwave of light.

Whom~

The Void Immortal raised a barrier. It was black, shifting, and continuously absorbing the light like a bottomless pit.

They collided mid-air once again as the above Clovis City became a battlefield.

Light and Darkness could be seen colliding, and they were worried that the angel might be defeated!

Perhaps, if not for the existence of the Barrier, the city would have been turned to ashes at this point.

Still, every clash echoed through the city, shaking windows, rattling lanterns, and sending ripples of energy that couldnʼt be completely blocked by the barrier…

”Is he gonna win? I think he might need some help…” Emra muttered, worried that the angel would be defeated.

Above them, the angel unleashed a burst of divine chains… They wrapped around the Void Immortal, binding him mid-air.

He didnʼt struggle.

He simply turned his gaze toward him, and the chains began to unravel… It was not with force, but with absence…

The Divine Chains had somehow faded as they were sucked into a void.

”Hmmm… Not bad. But I want to see more, Angel.”
