Help! The Villainess Trapped in the Beast World's Drama!

Chapter 185: Chapter 179: My Room Is Saved for You

Xue Yinzhou’s breath suddenly deepened.

He pulled Shen Tang into his embrace, his silver-purple snake-like eyes, now reduced to slits, burned intensely as he stared at her, his Adam’s apple rolling, ”Say that again?”

Shen Tang’s face turned even redder, she whispered softly, ”We’re already companions, I can’t always leave you hanging, we should do things that couples do, tonight... hmm!”

Before she finished speaking, the man tightly wrapped his large hands around her waist, cupping the back of her head, and lowered his head to kiss her lips.

The usually cool and delicate lips now carried a feverish warmth, scorching her heart.

Shen Tang widened her eyes in surprise, not expecting him to be so forward.

Xue Yinzhou kissed her red lips, greedily seeking her fragrance, and tested further, intertwining with her, dancing together.

Shen Tang was dazed by his kiss, emitting a soft, trembling hum.

Just as she was indulging in his affectionate demands, she glimpsed a Beastman passing by nearby, her reason quickly returned, as she hurriedly pushed him away, ”Wait, not now!”

Xue Yinzhou released her, his long fingers brushed over the moisture at her lips, his deep purple eyes still held a hint of lingering desire.

Shen Tang glanced around, blushing, occasionally seeing passing Beastmen, this broad daylight, it was far too scandalous!

She tiptoed close to his ear, speaking in a sweet, soft voice, ”How about tonight?”

Her fingers near the man’s belt gently explored, ”I’ve kept my room for you.”

Xue Yinzhou felt as if the skin beneath the fabric might ignite.

He suddenly caught her restless little hand, his deep voice carrying a slightly hoarse danger, ”... At this rate, I fear I won’t be able to wait until tonight.”

Shen Tang met the man’s dim, reddened eyes, wishing he could deal with her immediately, devouring her fully!

She swallowed and quickly let go, not daring to provoke any further.

Right then, her stomach let out a timely gurgle, prompting her to change the topic quickly, ”Let’s go home for dinner first!”

That crafty fox was right; it’s only after filling up that one has the energy for other activities.

Considering the anticipated energy expenditure tonight, she needed to quickly fill herself up, fainting halfway would be too embarrassing.

Xue Yinzhou glanced down at her stomach, his gaze growing more profound, as he scooped her up horizontally, rushing back home.

After bringing Shen Tang home, Xue Yinzhou transformed back into his original form and went out of the city to hunt.

Lu Xiao saw them returning together, his eagle eyes flickered with a dark shade, but he said nothing.

He approached Shen Tang and said, ”The rice in the fields has been harvested, I just brought a bag back from the warehouse.”

”I heard you mention before that steamed rice made from this is fragrant and delicious, can you teach me how to cook it?”

Shen Tang, this little food enthusiast, upon hearing there was rice to eat, immediately put other matters aside, walking to the kitchen excitedly, ”Of course, I taught Hu Yun how to process the rice, the rice in this bag should all be treated...”

She opened the rice bag, grabbed a handful of snow-white rice, due to the climate here, long-grain fragrant rice with a firmer texture was grown, which Shen Tang also really liked, and the steamed rice was very appetizing!

The surface of the rice wasn’t very clean, there was some dust and debris, Shen Tang rinsed it several times, making sure it was clean, before putting it into the pot.

She explained as she worked, ”About one bowl of water to one bowl of rice, if you want the rice to be softer and stickier, add a little more water, you can adjust it according to taste...”

Lu Xiao noted it down carefully.

”By the way, I remember the sweet potatoes and potatoes in the fields have also been harvested, they can be cooked in dishes, steamed, boiled, or roasted, although the taste can’t compare to roasted meat, they’re very filling and produce high yields, they can be distributed for free to city Beastmen who can’t hunt and stray cubs.” Shen Tang advised, ”Foods like potatoes, sweet potatoes, and rice can be stored for many years, any leftovers can be kept in the granary as emergency reserves.”

Life is quite stable now, but it’s important to prepare for unforeseen circumstances.

Most Beastmen don’t have the habit of storing food, generally going out to hunt when hungry and not thinking about this when full.

Understanding Shen Tang’s intention, Lu Xiao quickly acknowledged.

He nodded, ”Don’t worry, I’ll pass this on to Hu Yun, you take a break, the meal will be ready soon.”

Xue Yinzhou returned from hunting too.

Shen Tang saw the White Snake’s belly had grown a size larger since he left, knowing he had eaten in advance.

Xue Yinzhou’s thick snake tail was still wrapped around a several hundred-pound prey, resembling a cow.

It dragged the prey directly to the courtyard, cleaned it up, then took the tenderest parts and handed them over to Lu Xiao, cooking up several large plates of meat dishes.

The meal looked, smelled, and tasted superb.

The culinary skills of the house’s chef were improving steadily.

Shen Tang took a bite of the stewed beef, and a mouthful of fragrant rice, it was simply too delicious.

Lu Xiao and Xue Yinzhou sat on either side of her, quietly eating.

Today it was just the three of them at home, without Xiao Jin the noisy leopard, Shen Tang felt the house was much quieter.

”Where’s Jia Lan? Why isn’t he back for dinner today?”

This esteemed Mermaid Prince rarely went out to work, but lately he had been absent, rumored to be venturing outside the city, but for what, no one knew.

”Not sure, he usually comes back after a couple of days, probably will return tomorrow,” Lu Xiao said.

Shen Tang nodded, not dwelling on it.

As dinner time approached its end, the atmosphere at the table became increasingly unusual.

Xue Yinzhou didn’t touch the food in his bowl, quietly watching Shen Tang.

The sky outside grew darker, his usually cold and indifferent purple eyes shone brightly, a tail quietly transformed unnoticed, lightly coiling around her waist, teasing gently with a flirtatious touch.

Shen Tang’s cheeks flushed like a sunset glow, pretending not to notice, letting his ambiguous actions tangle as she quickly finished the last bite of rice in her bowl, clearly preparing to face the night ahead.

”...” Lu Xiao observed their interaction, his hand tightened around his chopsticks, a ripple of emotion crossed his deep, gray eyes.

He was a mentally sound, normal adult male Beast.

He naturally recognized the unusual atmosphere between them.

And could guess what they planned for tonight.

Suppressing a slight emotion within, he handed Shen Tang a napkin, his voice empathetic and caring as she rose to leave,

”Don’t exhaust yourself too much tonight, remember to rest early.”

Shen Tang nearly stumbled to the ground.

This old eagle truly spoke shockingly bold words!

No knowing whether he did it deliberately or just as kind advice.

Shen Tang held back her blush, nodding awkwardly, ”I, I know, you should rest early too!”

Lu Xiao nodded, then calmly cleared the table, not looking at her again.

Shen Tang quickly retreated to her room.

Xue Yinzhou glanced at Lu Xiao nonchalantly, recalling his uncompetitive nature, unlike the bothersome leopard or fox who always spoiled things, feeling less concerned as he withdrew his gaze, following her upstairs to the room.

”Crash!”

Lu Xiao’s distracted movements accidentally smashed a plate.

As he handled the broken pieces, his fingers inadvertently ran over a faint mark of blood.

He furrowed his elegantly shaped brows.

Striving for perfection in his tasks, he never made such a small mistake.

Lu Xiao gently rubbed his fingers, glancing upstairs, his gaze darkening as he finished tidying up, then turned to leave the villa.
