God's Imitator

[1. Basic Living Guidelines]

[’Community’ is the daily living area for all players.]

[’Visa time’ is the only currency within the community.]

[Players can use ’visa time’ to purchase necessary living supplies from within the community, including basic food ingredients, clothing, medicine, etc.]

[When issuing visas, the community has already conducted comprehensive calculations based on each player’s situation and determined the initial ’visa time.’]

[Specific ’visa time’ can be checked at any ’visa machine,’ ’vending machine,’ or ’personal computer.’]

[Direct or indirect trading of ’visa time’ between players within the community is prohibited. Disguised transactions such as using visa time to purchase supplies and then gifting those supplies to others are also not allowed.]

[Completing judgment games in the ’Gallery’ is the only way to earn ’visa time.’ Details refer to ’3. Gallery Judgment Guidelines.’]

[2. Community Activity Guidelines]

[All players within the community have equal status.][Dangerous behaviors toward other players beyond the rules are strictly prohibited, including but not limited to murder, kidnapping, coercion, poisoning, etc.]

[Each community player has equal voting rights.]

[Any community player can go to the ’Community Management Office’ to propose motions. After community review and approval, all community players can vote on them.]

[When more than half of the community players vote in favor, the motion will be established as a new community rule.]

[3. Gallery Judgment Guidelines]

[The ’Gallery’ is the purging and judgment institution in the New World.]

[The ’Gallery’ may open at any time, summoning players to complete judgment games through ’forced’ or ’voluntary’ means.]

[After completing games, corresponding ’visa time’ can be obtained based on game content.]

[Hidden among all players is a special type of dangerous element: ’God’s Imitators.’ They design games for the Gallery and complete judgments on players.]

[When players die in the Gallery, the designer of the corresponding game will obtain all remaining visa time of that player.]

[The Gallery’s game rules will be updated in real-time on the homepage of players’ personal computer websites.]

[The above are the basic rules of the New World. More hidden rules await discovery and creation by all players.]

[Tonight is a peaceful night. We wish everyone a pleasant evening in the New World.]

The image on the big screen disappeared, replaced by simple ”Sweet Dreams” text and a warm city background.

”Oh God, I’ve actually arrived in heaven.

”This is the eternal dwelling place of souls, the final destination for good people...”

A plainly dressed middle-aged woman kept making the sign of the cross on her chest, her eyes full of tears, emotionally excited.

As for the others, their reactions varied.

Some faces showed joy, while others were filled with anxiety.

Fu Chen looked at everyone, seemed to hesitate for a moment, but finally cleared his throat and said loudly:

”Everyone... could you please quiet down a bit and listen to me briefly?

”Most of us probably still don’t understand exactly what’s going on. We’re full of questions about how we came to be here and what this so-called New World is.

”But from the current situation, we’ll all be living together in this community for some time to come.

”So I propose that we do simple self-introductions to get to know each other better, then discuss the known community rules.

”This might help us get along better in the future.

”Of course, this is just a suggestion and not mandatory in any way.

”What do you all think?”

Fu Chen looked at everyone. The originally noisy atmosphere quieted down again, and quite a few people nodded in agreement.

No one stood up to object.

Fu Chen pushed up the rimless glasses on his nose and said, ”Alright, then I’ll start.

”I’m Number 1, Fu Chen.”

While speaking, he showed everyone the visa pattern on his bracelet, proving he wasn’t lying about his name.

”I’m 25 years old, and my gender is, as you can see, male.

”My original job was as an online streamer, mainly broadcasting outdoor content.

”As for how I got here, I don’t remember at all.

”My last impression was that I was doing a 48-hour non-stop streaming challenge. I seemed to have fallen asleep because I was too tired, and when I woke up, I was in a pure white room.

”After waiting two hours, the door finally opened.

”I followed the path all the way to this building and checked in.”

Fu Chen seemed to be trying to make his tone sound as relaxed and humorous as possible, especially when mentioning ”my gender is, as you can see, male,” seeming to expect some response from everyone.

But unfortunately, everyone present was obviously still in a state of tension and wariness, so they didn’t give much feedback.

”Then, shall we do self-introductions in order of player numbers?”

Fu Chen said, looking toward a slightly plump woman with flushed cheeks diagonally across from him.

The plump woman nodded and took over: ”Hello everyone, I’m Number 2. My name is Jiang He, and I originally worked as a newspaper editor...”

Lin Sizhi listened carefully to everyone’s speech. Soon, everyone had finished their self-introductions.

Some were talkative, others introverted. The information they revealed varied in amount, but at least basic information like age and occupation was completely covered.

Number 1 Fu Chen, male, 25, online streamer.

Number 2 Jiang He, female, 31, newspaper editor.

Number 3 Li Renshu, female, 29, civil servant.

Number 4 Cao Haichuan, male, 39, criminal investigator.

Number 5 Cai Zhiyuan, male, 28, algorithm programmer.

Number 6 Wang Yongxin, male, 36, startup company owner.

Number 7 Qin Yao, female, 24, fashion model.

Number 8 Su Xiucen, female, 52, retired worker.

Number 9 Xu Tong, female, 32, human resources manager.

Number 10 Ding Wenqiang, male, 53, courier.

Number 11 Yang Yuting, female, 27, company executive.

Number 12 Lin Sizhi, male, 26, lawyer.

As for their process of arriving here, it was much the same.

All had brief memory loss, woke up in that pure white room, waited 2 hours before getting visas, then came to the community to check in.

But no one mentioned experiences like Lin Sizhi’s of ”designing games to judge criminals.”

Lin Sizhi was the last to speak and naturally omitted that part as well.

Fu Chen was silent for a moment: ”So, what are everyone’s thoughts on our current situation?”
