Overlord Tamer:I Only Tame Bosses

Chapter 8: Chapter 8 Overlord Imperium

[Overlord Emporium is the heart of the Overlord Tamer System. This is where you obtain new powers by purchasing them with currency.]

The system explained.

Oliver chose the Single Card category, and his screen was instantly filled with hundreds, even thousands, of cards. Most of them were illustrated with aggressive and cool-looking monsters, each labeled with its own rarity.

The cards were categorized by rarity, starting from Common (C), Uncommon (UC), Rare (R), Super Rare (SR), Ultra Rare (UR), Epic Rare (ER), Legendary Rare (LR), Mythical Rare (MR), Chaos Rare (CR), Divine Rare (DR), and Final Rare (FR).

”Can I look at one of these cards?” Oliver picked one of the monster cards, which had a very impressive illustration. It then revealed the details of the card.

”Brrr!”

Oliver’s mouth immediately frothed as he looked at the absurd stats of the card. Comparing it to Velkryss was like comparing the moon to a galaxy, or even the universe itself. It was far beyond what Oliver had expected.

”If an Ultra Rare monster is already like this, then what about the higher rarities? I do not even dare to look at them.” Oliver immediately forgot his intention to check other cards. It would only make him feel worse.

He moved to the next category, Single Packs. Similar to the previous one, there were also thousands of packs in this menu, with no end in sight.

[Single Packs are different from Single Cards. They are a collection of cards with similar themes or types. Unlike Single Cards, you cannot know what you will obtain, but you will receive a card from the pool contained in the pack.]

[And your available packs are restricted by your tamer level. At the moment, only 3 packs are available to you. Increase your tamer level to unlock more packs and expand your army of monsters.]

Oliver frowned as he digested all the information.

”So this one is much cheaper than the last one, but at the cost of not knowing what I will get. It really depends on luck. And as far as I remember, I have never won a single lucky draw. I feel like this system is really not compatible with me.”

Finally, he proceeded to the last section, the Limited Offer.

[Limited Offer is a constantly changing feature that gives you special deals. It may show a card at a discounted price or an unknown pack you have never seen before. After several hours, it will reset, and you will never see the same offer again.]

”That special pack is so tempting! Should I purchase it or not? If I do not, maybe the next selection will be more expensive. But if I purchase it now, maybe the next one will have a much better price and quality. Arrgh! I am in a dilemma! Help me, Velkryss!”

”Just buy it. No need to be so overdramatic. You will never know what the future holds.”

”Alright, I will listen to you, okay, Velkryss? If I get a subpar card or the next offer is much better, I will blame it on you. It is your idea, do you get it?”

”Whatever.” Velkryss rolled his eyes, tired of responding to his master.

”I want to pick the special pack!”

---

”Yes...” With a heavy heart, Oliver pressed yes. Just like that, 1000 Tamer Coins were gone, leaving him with none.

Ding!

Instantly, a pack materialized in Oliver’s hand. It was sealed, with a cinematic illustration on its cover depicting a man with many monsters behind him. Oliver immediately unsealed the pack, revealing three cards inside.

”Are you ready, Velkryss, for the truth?”

Velkryss did not respond. He simply rested his head on the soft bed and closed his eyes.

The first card.

”A weapon? Did the system also give weapons? I thought it only gave monsters.”

[The system provides everything that an Overlord Tamer needs to grow, from monsters, weapons, gear, skills, and more. It is an absolute system with no match.]

Oliver was mesmerized by what the system told him. He immediately equipped the dagger. It was a little long for his size, but the weight felt perfect. Even in a ten-year-old body, Oliver could swing it with ease.

”Good! I can use it to clear a dungeon later.”

He looked at the second card.
