My Cold and Elegant CEO Wife

Time flew. In the blink of an eye, it was seven o’clock in the evening.

It’s normally 6 PM when the Ice Snow Corporation closed but because it was the New Year’s Eve today, and there would be a New Year’s Eve Gala, no one left though it was past 7.

At 7 PM, the entire company was lively and bustling. People all ran to the third-floor hall with excitement all over their faces.

The venue for the New Year’s Day party was in the third-floor hall, next to the president’s office, where all kinds of large-scale parties were held.

When Qingfeng Li and the other people came to the third-floor hall, the hall was filled with people. CEO Xue Lin was sitting on the rostrum as well as Jianjun Hu, general manager and the directors of the departments.

Employees of at least 15 departments were sitting around the hall.

In front of the hall was where a huge stage was erected, with LCD screens, lighting, loudspeakers, microphones and other equipment. There were banners that read ’Happy New Year’ all around.

Qingfeng Li, Xiaoyue Zhang and Li Lee were the representatives of the sales department in the competition, and were brought to the waiting room at the backstage.

There were 45 employees in the waiting room. All were representations of the respective departments. Some front-runners were putting make-up and rehearsing their lines.

”Big brother Li, so many people are participating in the competition. I’m a bit nervous.” Xiaoyue Zhang’s thin eyelashes blinked slightly. Her innocent face showed a bit of anxiousness.

”Sister Xiaoyue, don’t be nervous. It’ll be fine.” Qingfeng Li held Xiaoyue Zhang’s little hand, scratching her palm and said, grinning.

”Asshole.” Feeling the tickling on her palm, Xiaoyue Zhang’s innocent face showed a touch of shyness. Being held by the hand in front of others made her very shy.

Though saying he was an asshole, she didn’t let go off Qingfeng Li’s hand, and let him hold it. Qingfeng Li’s palm passed a strand of warmth, which made her very comfortable.

”Yo, isn’t this Xiaoyue Zhang. Is this your boyfriend?” a faint voice came suddenly.

The woman who was talking was a woman in a blue dress. She was in her mid-20s, with lipstick and heavy make-up on. She had an average height, was wearing little and exposing a large part of her skin. She looked good but was far off from Xiaoyue Zhang.

Her name was Meilian Wang, the team leader of the Public Relations Department. Her relation with Xiaoyue Zhang was not good and she had had some conflicts.

Women were born to be jealous. Seeing women that were more beautiful than themselves, they will naturally have a hint of hostility.

”Meilian Wang, don’t say nonsense. He’s Qingfeng Li, a staff member of our sales department, not my boyfriend.” Xiaoyue Zhang’s beautiful eyebrows slightly frowned, and she said faintly.

She didn’t like the Meilian Wang that was in front of her. Naturally, she wouldn’t show a friendly look.

”Qingfeng Li, Xiaoyue Zhang is skittish. She’s not a virgin. How about you play with me.” Meilian smiled coquettishly and said to Qingfeng Li.

Hearing Meilian Wang say Xiaoyue Zhang was skittish, Qingfeng Li frowned a bit and was a bit dissatisfied.

He naturally knew that Xiaoyue Zhang was a good girl and a virgin. But the Meilian Wang that was in front of him looked a bit coquettish.

”Meilian Wang, I think it’s you that are skittish. I know you’re not a virgin with just one look.” Qingfeng Li smiled slightly and said.

”What are you talking about? I’m not a virgin?”

”Your butt is flabby and inflexible. You’re splay-footed and have a wide hipbone. You certainly are not a virgin. Your body has a masculine taste. Not long ago you might have made love with a man.”

”Nonsense, how would I have slept with a man?”

”Oh yes? Then why is there a man’s hickey on your neck?”

Qingfeng Li pointed to Meilian Wang’s neck and said faintly.

Hearing this, people around all looked at Mei-Lain Wang’s neck. Sure enough, there was a hickey from a man.

The hickey was very obvious. It probably was kissed just now, and didn’t disappear.

Seeing the strange looks around, Meilian Wang’s face was livid, and was extremely angry. She knew that what this damn guy said was right. She was making out with the head of logistic department just now.

Moreover, she was no longer a virgin. She had lost it when she was in school.

”Qingfeng Li, you jerk.” Hearing Qingfeng Li expose her secret, Meilian Wang’s facial expression changed drastically, and she said in an angry voice.

”Skittish woman. An ugly one too. Shut up.” Qingfeng Li smiled coldly and scolded Meilian Wang, making her extremely angry.

To a coquettish woman like her who criticized Xiaoyue Zhang, Qingfeng Li certainly wouldn’t be friendly.

Ding~ The bell of the gala rang.

”Sister Xiaoyue, the gala is on. Let’s prepare for the show. Ignore this ugly woman.” Qingfeng Li held Xiaoyue Zhang’s little hand and walked to the stage, ignoring Meilian Wang.

”Asshole, I won’t forgive you.” Seeing Qingfeng Li’s back, Meilian Wang’s eyes were full of malice.

To be sure, Meilian Wang was the mistress of the head of the logistic department, and had great power in the company. She had already started to think about getting revenge on Qingfeng Li.

As the president, Xue Lin was the first to speak on stage. After that, the gala officially began.

At this point in the audience, the heads of sales department and public relation department were having a conversation.

”Wanqiu Xia, the sales department will certainly lose this time.” The head of public relation department Caixia Lu said coldly.

She was a 30-year-old woman. She had a pretty face with a tall and slim figure. Her look to Wanqiu Xia was full of indifference.

”Caixia Lu, the contest has not started. How do you know our sales department will lose?”

Wanqiu Xia glanced at her faintly. Her beautiful eyes showed a hint of dissatisfaction. She naturally knew why Caixia Lu was against her.

Because the two were competing for the title of ”outstanding Director”. If their department won in the gala, they would get bonus points.

”Wanqiu Xia, I guarantee you that your sales department will lose. The ”outstanding Director” will be mine this year.”

”Maybe not. Let’s wait and see.”

”Who is scared of it? We will see then.”

While two beautiful Directors were arguing on the rostrum, the staff members were also abuzz, guessing who would win?

After all, it’s a matter of honor for every department. All the people hoped their own department would win.

The starting show was singing. The first one on stage was a female staff from the Human Resources Department. This female staff looked good and was good at singing. Lots of guys were cheering.

Then there was the second, third, and fourth. When the fifth came to the stage, the entire hall screamed.

The fifth one who came to the stage was the beauty Meilian Wang from the Public Relations department.

”Meilian Wang, she is a graduate of the music school and sings very well.”

”Probably no one can sing better than Meilian Wang in the singing group of the New Year’s Eve Gala this year.”

”Right. I also think highly of Meilian Wang.”

The staff members around were abuzz. The moment they saw Meilian Wang come onto the stage, they knew that the winner of the singing this year would be the Public Relations department.
