Max didn’t pay much attention to the rest of his status—most of it remained unchanged, familiar numbers and descriptions that didn’t hold his interest anymore.

What did catch his eye, however, was the newly added section… the one that listed a bloodline he hadn’t seen before.

“Heavenly Luminance Divine Bloodline…” he muttered under his breath, reading the name slowly.

But right beside it, in smaller script, something else was written—Weakened State.

Max’s brows furrowed as he stared at those two words, but despite the small sting of disappointment, he didn’t feel surprised.

He had nearly lost this bloodline entirely.

To even see it reawakened, to see its name appear again on his status at all, was already a miracle.

Its weakened state made sense.

He had only just reclaimed it, forced it back into existence from the brink of oblivion.

Still, he dug deeper, examining the finer details—Light Energy: 0, Divine Fragments: 1/7.

And suddenly, things started falling into place in his mind like puzzle pieces aligning.

He realized that if his original bloodline source hadn’t been taken from him, his body might’ve naturally produced Light Energy on its own—just like how elemental affinities allowed others to generate fire, water, or wind mana.

But then again he was able to use flames and lightning without having any affinities for them.

However Light Energy was different.

He couldn’t create light from his own body just like he could create flames and lightning once he master Light Aura.

It wouldn’t work because his Light Energy source was missing, taken away when his bloodline was stolen.

And with that source forcefully stripped away and the bloodline left in a weakened shell, his body lacked the innate affinity for light.

It couldn’t generate Light Energy at all.

He was cut off—until it healed.

‘Or until I fix it,’ Max thought, his eyes narrowing with understanding.

He figured that once the bloodline reached its full potential, that natural generation would return.

And that’s where the Divine Fragments came into play.

They were likely remnants or catalysts—pieces of the divine essence needed to reconstruct or reawaken the bloodline’s true form.

‘I don’t know what Divine Fragments are exactly,’ Max admitted to himself, staring at the single count displayed in his status, ‘but if I have one now, and the requirement is seven… then I need six more.’ He nodded slowly, already beginning to formulate the steps ahead.

‘Only then will my Heavenly Luminance Divine Bloodline return to its peak.

Only then will I regain the power that was stolen from me.’

‘Lenavira isn’t here yet,’ he thought, his eyes closed, mind steady.

‘I might as well use this time to train the Five Omens of Absolute Calamity.’ With a single breath, he slipped into his Dimension of Time, where hours stretched into days and minutes into hours.

Inside the timeless space, Max honed his technique with relentless focus, each motion refined with precision, each surge of energy carefully woven into the rhythm of the calamities he intended to master.

—

Hours passed outside like whispers on the wind, and just as Max emerged from his training, Princess Lenavira finally arrived near the pond.

Her presence, as always, carried a sense of quiet strength and graceful urgency.

Max opened his eyes the moment he sensed her aura, the red glow of his infernal energy fading into silence around him.

“Have you gotten the technique?” he asked, referring to the lightning technique she promised.

Lenavira shook her head, her expression apologetic.

“You’ll need to wait a bit longer.

I’m still searching for one that truly suits your style.”

Max sighed softly, not in disappointment, but in acknowledgment.

He trusted her judgment.

“Alright,” he said with a nod.

She then straightened her posture, her eyes firm.

“Let’s go.

Korbin is waiting for you on the tenth floor.”

Max’s gaze sharpened the moment she spoke that name.

He hadn’t forgotten.

Not even for a moment.

Korbin—the demon who had made it his mission to eliminate him in front of the entire tower.

Max stood without hesitation, his presence steady and calm, as if he had been waiting for this moment all along.

“Let’s go,” he said quietly, but beneath those words burned a storm of purpose.

He didn’t just plan to fight.

He planned to win.

—

The Tower of Truth was packed beyond measure that day—an ocean of experts, warriors, and curious onlookers from every race crowded its floors and platforms, each trying to secure a spot to witness the most anticipated battle of the month.

Rumors had flooded the Lost Continent like wildfire, all pointing to one event: the battle between Max and Korbin, the Demon Prodigy.

It wasn’t just a normal clash of geniuses—this was personal.

For nearly a month, Korbin had ensured Max remained untouched by other challengers, spreading terror across the tower floors.

He didn’t just defeat other contenders—he crushed them, humiliated them, warned them.

No one dared to challenge Max, not because they feared him, but because they feared Korbin.

The demon had swept through the tower like a black tide, clearing a path to the tenth floor so he alone could be Max’s opponent.

He wanted to fight him with all eyes watching, to make a statement.

Humans no matter how genius they were, in front of a demon, they could only be livestock.

And now, the day had finally come.

The air around the tower buzzed with tension, excitement, and bloodlust.

Spectators from all corners of the realm filled the walkways and viewing platforms, shouting, whispering, speculating.

Among the crowds, demons sneered and muttered predictions of Max’s impending defeat, their words dripping with scorn.

“He doesn’t stand a chance,” one growled.

“Korbin’s bloodline is too powerful—he’ll crush that human before he can even blink.”

“He’ll regret ever climbing this tower,” another added with a cruel grin.

But not everyone agreed.

The elves stood with silent hope in their eyes, watching from the upper balconies adorned with emerald banners.

For them, Max wasn’t just a challenger—he was a savior.

He had brought life back to their kingdom, restored a part of their dying homeland.

That meant something.

“He’s more than they think,” one elf whispered to her kin.

“Someone who could rejuvenate our kingdom isn’t just anyone.

Demons would regret targeting Max.”

“True.

They had forgotten how much of a menace Freya was three years ago and now another such menace has arrived in the tower.” Added another.

“Demons think with their knees.

Let them do what they think is best for them.” Another elf added with a sneer.

“If Max managed to kill Korbin, then he would only better for us elves.”

The humans, meanwhile, remained divided—quiet, observant.

Some watched with awe, some with suspicion, unsure what to make of Max.
