The Alpha's Regret: Return Of The Betrayed Luna

Chapter 525: Chapter 525 Being Treated Right

And when Maxwell dragged him away and let his body drop onto the other side of the bed, Levi’s cock slid out of her at the same time, thick and slow, breaking their connection in one drawn-out motion.

A wet sound followed, and the cum he had filled her with began to spill out, slowly leaking from her pussy and trailing down as her sensitive body instinctively reacted.

”Mm...” Addison couldn’t help but let out a soft, broken moan, her body trembling slightly from the lingering sensitivity as she felt the sudden emptiness and the warm fluid trickling out of her.

Her gaze dropped reflexively between her legs, her face flushing when she saw the clear evidence of what had happened, her thighs still weak and trembling from the aftermath.

Then, almost nervously, she lifted her head as if wanting to explain herself —

Only to freeze.

Maxwell wasn’t looking at her face.

His darkened eyes were locked downward, staring directly at her exposed pussy where the evidence of Levi’s cum was still slowly seeping out. His jaw tightened visibly, the muscle ticking as something feral flickered in his gaze. The air around him grew heavy, tense, and charged with a barely restrained hunger.

Desire swirled openly in his eyes now, raw and unhidden, his pupils flickering as if his wolf was straining against its leash, restless and agitated. The sight in front of him, the flushed skin, the lingering scent, the unmistakable marks of another male still fresh on her, only seemed to provoke something deeper, darker inside him.

For a brief moment, he looked like he was on the verge of snapping, as if every instinct in him was urging him to step forward, fuck her hard, and erase every trace left behind, his restraint hanging by a fragile thread as his gaze remained fixed on her trembling body.

Unable to suppress the sharp twinge of jealousy rising in his chest, Maxwell finally spoke.

”Seems like you and Levi had quite a good time together... hmm?”

His voice came out low and cold, laced with unmistakable jealousy that he didn’t even bother to hide. The slight narrowing of his eyes and the tension in his jaw made it obvious that the sight before him had stirred something dark and possessive inside him.

Yet the visible bulge straining against his pants betrayed him just as clearly. He was undeniably aroused, his body reacting instinctively to Addison’s scent, her disheveled state, and the lingering intimacy clinging to the air.

For a brief moment, the urge to pounce on her surged violently within him. If Addison hadn’t looked so pitifully weak, like someone who had been thoroughly overwhelmed and used up, her body trembling and exhausted, he might have already taken the chance to continue what Levi had started and claim her right then and there.

But reason ultimately prevailed.

He could see it plainly: her sluggish movements, her unfocused eyes, the way her body barely had the strength to even sit up properly. She was completely drained and in desperate need of rest.

And that only made his annoyance toward Levi deepen.

That damned man had clearly poured every ounce of his pent-up desire into her without restraint, dragging it out for hours as if he had no intention of stopping at all. If Levi hadn’t finally collapsed from sheer exhaustion, he would have undoubtedly continued even longer, leaving not only Addison utterly spent, but forcing Maxwell and the others outside to endure that torturous, simmering unrest for far longer as well.

After forcefully suppressing the restless heat and the gnawing hunger stirring deep inside him, Maxwell finally spoke, his voice coming out hoarse and rough.

”I’ll get some fresh water so you can wipe your body down... or do you want to take a bath instead?” he muttered, his tone lower than usual. ”I can bring a larger wooden tub so you can wash up properly.”

He deliberately averted his gaze as he spoke, eyes shifting away from her disheveled figure. If he kept looking at her, her flushed skin, trembling thighs, and the lingering signs of her mating with Levi, especially with those obvious kiss and bite marks, he knew his restraint would snap sooner or later.

The scent clinging to her body alone was enough to make his instincts surge wildly, and it took everything in him not to step forward and fuck her right there.

But he refused to.

As her mate, he couldn’t ignore the state she was in. She was clearly exhausted, sore, and overstimulated, her body barely holding itself upright. If he gave in to his desire and mated with her now, when she was so spent, then he would be no different from someone who only cared about satisfying his own lust while disregarding her comfort and well-being.

And Addison didn’t deserve that.

She wasn’t someone to be used when convenient, nor someone whose body should be pushed past its limits just to appease their carnal desire. His jaw tightened as he exhaled slowly, forcing the hunger back down where it belonged.

If he wanted her, truly wanted to mate with her the way Levi had, then he could wait.

He would wait until she was rested, recovered, and able to respond to him properly, instead of barely conscious and trembling from exhaustion. Only then would he allow himself to touch her without restraint.

Hearing Maxwell’s restrained tone and seeing how he was clearly forcing himself to hold back despite the obvious arousal straining through his body stirred something deep inside Addison.

Even though the entity within her was now well-fed and quiet, and she could faintly feel that her body had grown a little stronger from the vitality the entity inside her took from Levi due to their prolonged mating, her stamina had been completely drained.

Every muscle ached, her nerves were oversensitive, and her limbs still felt weak and shaky as if they could give out at any moment. More than anything, she needed time to rest, to calm her trembling body, and to sort through the subtle changes she could feel deep within herself, changes she couldn’t quite understand yet.

Maxwell’s restraint, however, warmed her heart in a way she didn’t expect. He was clearly aroused, his scent heavier, his breathing slightly uneven, yet he still chose to think about her condition first instead of indulging his own desire.

Being treated gently like this, especially after being so thoroughly overwhelmed, made her chest tighten softly. No woman would dislike being cared for in such a considerate way.

”I... I would like to take a warm bath, please...” Addison replied hoarsely.

Her voice came out weak, rough, and coarse, as if her throat had been scraped raw. After hours of broken moans, gasps, and cries, it was no surprise that her voice sounded strained and breathy.

She even felt a dull soreness in her throat, as though phlegm had built up from overuse, making each word slightly painful to speak. And with her wolf currently in a dormant state, she couldn’t rely on her usual rapid healing to soothe her exhausted body, leaving her to fully endure the aftermath of the intense mating in a way that made her feel even more fragile and spent.
