Deep Space Scavenging, Hand Over Alien Warships at the Beginning

Chapter 169 Demolition Office Enforcement: All Irrelevant Personnel, Get Out of the Way!The originally noisy Black Shark Fortress suddenly went quiet for a moment.

Then came a teeth-grinding ”buzzing” sound.

It wasn’t an electrical short circuit; it was the sound of matter being forcibly erased at the level of reality.

In the pirate dormitory in Zone C, a dozen bare-chested pirates were charging out with blaster rifles when the special alloy floor beneath their feet turned into air without warning.

With no support and the gravity system still running, these thugs who usually threw their weight around fell toward the bottomless reactor abyss below like dumplings, screaming and flailing their arms.

”Hell! Where’s the floor? Who stole the floor?!”

”The wall! The wall is gone too!”

Someone tried to grab a handrail nearby, but the moment their fingers touched the metal tube, it vanished without a trace like a pencil drawing erased by an eraser, leaving only the awkwardness and despair of grasping at empty air.

Meanwhile, in the central control room, Black Shark King watched helplessly as the two-meter-thick blast door turned into countless streams of blue data, swirling and drilling into Lin Yuan’s black-hole-like palm.

Lin Yuan let out a burp.

【Ding! Recycled 1,200 tons of C-grade titanium alloy, credit points +12,000.】

【Ding! Recycled 800 meters of high-energy transmission lines, obtained rare copper essence.】

【Ding! Demolished one load-bearing pillar of an illegal structure, obtained...】

The system’s notification sounds were as dense as firecrackers during the New Year. To Lin Yuan, it sounded festive; to Black Shark King, it sounded like a funeral bell.

”You... what exactly have you done?!” Black Shark King looked at his own legs. His expensive, modified mechanical prosthetics were making creaking sounds of being overwhelmed because the console beneath his feet was rapidly weathering away.

”Didn’t I tell you? Demolition.”

Lin Yuan couldn’t even be bothered to look at him, his gaze greedily scanning the equipment in the hall that hadn’t been dismantled yet. ”Such a huge illegal structure is blocking our Earth from seeing the stars. I have the right to enforce mandatory demolition.”

Boom—!

The top of the fortress, having lost its load-bearing structure, began to collapse.

The massive metal dome fractured under the pull of gravity, and the pitch-black space outside and blinding starlight poured in.

But this wasn’t destruction; it was a feast.

”Brothers! The wall is gone! Charge!”

”See that glowing thing? That’s a motherboard! Grab it!”

”That toilet is made of solid gold! Nobody fight me for it; I’m taking it back to use as a chamber pot for the company commander!”

In the space outside, countless simple shuttles labeled ”Daxia Moving Company” swarmed in through the collapsed breach like a school of piranhas smelling blood.

The Earth soldiers had no reservation about acting like a regular army.

There was no helping it; they were used to being poor.

In the eyes of the Daxia Expeditionary Force, this wasn’t a den of vicious pirates; it was clearly an unlocked Walmart supermarket.

”Stop! That’s mine! It’s all mine!”

Black Shark King watched as his family fortune, accumulated over half a century, was being emptied in an extremely humiliating way. Even the bone throne symbolizing his power was being lifted by two Daxia soldiers ready to carry it away. His sanity completely snapped.

”Damn natives! I’ll kill you!”

Black Shark King slammed the emergency button on his chest.

Suddenly, a twelve-meter-tall pitch-black mecha ejected from beneath the floor that had already half-collapsed.

This mecha had a ferocious design, with six thrusters mounted on its back and a high-frequency ship-cutting blade still dripping with plasma fluid in its hand.

This was his trump card, the ”Black Shark · Final Model,” originally intended to counter regular army generals.

”Go to hell!”

Black Shark King scrambled into the cockpit. The mecha’s eyes lit up with blood-red light, and the engine’s roar drowned out the surrounding explosions.

The ship-cutting blade slashed down toward the top of Lin Yuan’s head with a shrill whistling sound.

This strike was enough to slice through the armor of a battleship.

Lin Yuan stood still, not even raising the iron rod in his hand.

He just looked up, his eyes filled with thirty percent disgust and seventy percent regret.

”Such nice rare metal, and you had to make it into this ugly thing. What a waste.”

Just as the blade was half a meter from his forehead, Lin Yuan raised his right hand, spread his five fingers, and made a grabbing motion in the void toward the massive ship-cutting blade.

【Void · Deconstruction】.

Hum!

The indestructible high-frequency ship-cutting blade suddenly stopped vibrating the moment it touched the aura of Lin Yuan’s palm.

Immediately after, the sharp edge began to rust, flake, and disintegrate.

Black Shark King only felt his hand lighten.

The originally heavy giant weapon had, in the blink of an eye, turned into a pile of reddish-brown rust powder, which showered down all over Lin Yuan.

”Is this your trump card?” Lin Yuan patted the dust off his shoulders. ”Since you don’t want to go out with dignity, I’ll save you the cremation fee.”

”No... impossible!”

Black Shark King in the mecha cockpit frantically pulled the control stick, wanting to retreat.

But Lin Yuan had already moved.

He didn’t use any fancy footwork; he simply kicked off the ground.

The floor exploded.

Lin Yuan’s figure appeared instantly at the chest position of the mecha like a cannonball fired from a chamber.

He didn’t use any weapons; instead, he shoved that palm covered in dark golden patterns straight into the mecha’s thick chest armor.

Creak—Bang!

The composite armor, capable of withstanding anti-tank missiles, was as brittle as a cracker in Lin Yuan’s hand.

Lin Yuan hooked his five fingers into the internal keel of the mecha, his arm muscles bulging, and roared:

”Open up for me!”

A teeth-grinding sound of metal tearing echoed throughout the central hub.

That twelve-meter-tall steel giant was actually torn open from the middle by Lin Yuan with his bare hands, exposing the cockpit inside with a terrified face.

Black Shark King sat inside, looking at the man standing at the mecha’s breach, exuding a dangerous aura, and instantly wet his pants.

”Don’t... don’t kill me!”

The pirate king, who had been arrogant just a moment ago, was now snot and tears running down his face, his hands raised above his head. ”I have money! I have three secret accounts in the Zurich Nebula! They have 300 million credit points in them! I’ll give it all to you! Just spare my life!”

Lin Yuan tilted his head, looked at this twisted face, and suddenly smiled.

The smile was very bright, but in Black Shark King’s eyes, it was more terrifying than a demon.

”Accounts?” Lin Yuan reached out and gently patted Black Shark King’s half-mechanical face. ”What’s the password?”

Black Shark King thought there was a chance for survival and hurriedly recited a string of numbers: ”89757... and there’s more! I have two ships of rare ore on the black market...”

”That’s enough.”

Lin Yuan interrupted him, his palm slowly moving to Black Shark King’s neck.

”Money, I’ll take for myself. As for your life...”

Lin Yuan leaned in closer, his voice very low. ”When you were trafficking those people, did you ever give them a way out?”

Black Shark King’s pupils constricted violently: ”I was working for the Dynasty! You can’t...”

”The Dynasty doesn’t manage the demolition office here.”

Snap.

A crisp sound of bone breaking rang out.

Black Shark King’s head hung limply to the side, and those electronic eyes filled with greed and fear went dark completely.

Lin Yuan let go, letting the corpse slide down inside the cockpit.

【Ding! Killed the leader of the Black Shark pirate group, obtained ’Star Map · Oort Black Market Network’.】

【Ding! Detected ownerless high-value target, asset transfer in progress...】

Lin Yuan shook the machine oil off his hands and leaped down from the mecha.

At this point, the entire fortress’s resistance had basically collapsed.

Most of the pirates, after seeing their leader’s mecha torn apart like a roasted chicken by that Earthling, very wisely threw away their weapons and knelt on the ground with their hands on their heads, afraid that they would be ”recycled” by that group of wolf-like Earthlings if they were even a second late.

”Old Chen, call people to clean up the place.”

Lin Yuan pressed his headset. ”Take away anything valuable, tie up all the survivors, and send them to mine later; we happen to be short on manual labor.”

”Received! That... can the golden teeth of Black Shark King be left for me? I want to plate the main gun of our dragon sparrow.”

”You have no ambition.” Lin Yuan scolded with a laugh.

However, at this brief moment of relaxation, gaia suddenly issued a shrill alarm in his mind.

”Boss! Look up quickly! Those three ’City Management’ ships have gone crazy!”

Lin Yuan turned his head abruptly to look at the big screen.

On the screen, those three patrol ships, which had already been looted by the Earthlings, were now forcing their core power furnaces to start, regardless of the boarding troops on the hull.

Their main guns were silent, but the missile silos located in the ship’s belly were all opened.

Three black missiles painted with skull symbols were spitting pale blue exhaust flames and flying toward the fortress ruins at extreme speed.

”Anti-matter annihilation missiles?!”

Chen Weiguo’s voice exploded in the channel, trembling slightly. ”These beasts! Do they not even care about their own captured crew on the ships?!”

Anti-matter missiles, forbidden weapons in interstellar warfare.

Even just one gram of anti-matter, the energy released would be enough to completely erase this entire area, leaving not even slag behind.

This wasn’t just silencing witnesses; this was trying to wipe out Earth along with them.

”Thirty seconds to impact! Cannot intercept! All air defense systems are paralyzed!”

”Retreat! Quickly tell the brothers to retreat!”

Retreating now? How could there be enough time?

Those Earth soldiers still moving supplies, the slaves locked in cages, and even the Earth itself were all within the coverage range of these three death scythes.

In the escape pod of the patrol ship flagship, the deputy Zeta... no, the deputy who took over command from Zeta, was coldly watching this scene through the screen.

”Dirty natives, and those pieces of trash who know too much, disappear.”

As long as this place turned into a void, no one would know about the patrol team’s collusion with the pirates.

As for the losses? Just report that they were ”wiped out by a Zerg attack”.

Lin Yuan looked at the three black dots getting closer and closer.

Twenty seconds.

The surrounding Earth soldiers stopped what they were doing and stared blankly at the sky.

Desperate emotions were spreading.

There was no escaping.

At this distance, the light radiation from the anti-matter explosion would instantly vaporize everyone.

”Damn it.”

Lin Yuan spat out a mouthful of blood-stained saliva.

His current state was very poor.

Forcibly dismantling the fortress and tearing apart the mecha just now had already pushed his spiritual power below the red line, and it felt like hundreds of needles were stabbing his brain.

If he used his Void ability again, he might end up brain-dead.

But if he didn’t... this group of fellow countrymen who had just left the newbie village would likely see their story end here.

”gaia.”

”Here! Boss, don’t be reckless! Your body right now...”

”Less talk.”

Lin Yuan took a deep breath, and his originally black pupils turned completely into pure dark gold.

”Help me calculate the yield of these three missiles.”

”The three combined are roughly equivalent to 50 million tons of TNT... Boss, what are you doing?!”

Lin Yuan didn’t answer.

He slammed his foot down, his body soared into the air, rushed directly out of the broken dome, and flew toward the three missiles that represented destruction.

In space, that tiny figure was like an insignificant speck of dust in front of the massive anti-matter missiles.

”Is he crazy?” The deputy watched the screen, a hint of sarcasm appearing at the corner of his mouth. ”Resisting a nuclear bomb with a physical body? What kind of primitive joke is this?”

Lin Yuan hovered in the void.

Extreme hypoxia and cold made all the blood in his body boil.

He opened his arms, and the Void rune on his chest began to spin wildly, even emitting a substantial gravitational roar.

Since they were going to explode, don’t waste them.

It just so happened that his blue bar was empty.

”Void...”

A low roar emanated from Lin Yuan’s throat, a syllable that an Earthling shouldn’t be able to make, ancient and obscure.

The space behind him suddenly shattered like glass.

A massive black hole with a diameter of over a hundred meters slowly opened behind him.

That wasn’t an ordinary gravitational black hole; that was a mouth.

A deep abyss maw that seemed capable of devouring the heavens and stars.

”...Devour!”

In the deputy’s terrified eyes, those three arrogant anti-matter missiles were actually like iron nails attracted by a magnet, deviating from their predetermined trajectory and swirling toward Lin Yuan.

”Come on! Let me taste what this so-called advanced civilization firework actually tastes like!”

Boom!

There was no fire of explosion.

Because all the light and heat were forcibly swallowed by that giant mouth the moment they erupted.

Lin Yuan’s figure instantly disappeared into the distorted spatial ripples.

Leaving only the people on the three patrol ships in space, like they had seen a ghost, with their mouths wide open, unable to make a sound for a long time.

”Is... is this guy even human?”

The communicator in Chen Weiguo’s hand dropped to the ground with a clatter.

And in the center of that darkness that was slowly dissipating, a burping voice clearly spread across the entire star sector through the public channel.

”The taste is a bit strong... remember to use less oxidizer next time, it’s choking.”
