Cutting-edge Technology: I Provide the Brains, the State Provides Everything

183: Lu Chen, the chief navigator of human civilization in the Earth Federation! When the massive figure of the ”expedition” interstellar exploration spaceship, brimming with a sense of sci-fi and the future, slowly descended like a deity onto the plaza in front of the Pangu Technology Headquarters Building, the entire world erupted.

All the Earthlings watching this unprecedented ”Global Celebration” went completely wild!

They rushed into the streets! They embraced! They cheered! Tears streamed down their faces!

An unprecedented wave of great unity, powerful enough to overturn the entire history of human civilization, swept across the entire planet!

And on the chairman’s stand, looking at the slowly opening hatch and the still-calm youth walking out of the light, those wise eyes were filled with immense satisfaction and pride!

He knew that starting today, human civilization would no longer be the fragile ”child” that could only passively gaze up at the stars! Instead, it would be a super player truly capable of baring its sharp fangs at the dark universe, which is full of the unknown and danger!

”I announce!” He picked up the microphone, his voice loud and solemn, ”The first Chief Scientist of the Earth Federation shall be held by Academician Lu Chen, the Father of the pangu!”

”At the same time! I also represent the newly established Supreme Council of the Earth Federation! To announce our first Five-Year Plan to the world!”

”That is...” He stretched out his finger, pointing toward the vast, endless starry sky! His wise eyes were filled with unprecedented madness and heroic spirit!

”We will exhaust all the strength of human civilization! Within five years! We will plant the Blue Star Flag of our Earth Federation across the entire Solar System!”

Boom!!!

This is no longer just a plan! This is the declaration of the ultimate expedition from all of humanity!

In an instant! The entire Earth boiled over! All Earthlings, regardless of color or race, went completely wild!

An unprecedented great interstellar wave, powerful enough to overturn the entire history of human civilization, swept across the entire planet!

And at this moment, below the chairman’s stand.

Lu Chen was looking at the ”historic” scene before him with a calm expression. There was not the slightest ripple on his face, as if all this was only natural.

Beside him stood the similarly calm Iceberg Goddess, Su Qingying.

”You don’t seem happy at all?” Su Qingying looked at Lu Chen’s calm, even somewhat indifferent face, and a hint of confusion flashed in her beautiful, bright eyes.

”Why should I be happy?” Lu Chen retorted mildly.

”Because,” Su Qingying pointed at the speaker on the stage, ”isn’t this the ’Great Reunion’ ending you’ve always wanted to see?”

”Ending?” Lu Chen smiled, a smile full of self-mockery and helplessness. ”Qingying, you are wrong.”

”This is not the ending.”

”This is merely...” The corner of his mouth curled into a mysterious and subversive smile, ”The beginning of a grander, vaster new story.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he slowly raised his hand and gently waved it toward the silver-white Divine Vessel silently suspended in the sky.

The next second!

A soft, light blue ray of light descended from the sky, enveloping him, Su Qingying beside him, and all the highest-ranking bigshots of Xia Country on the chairman’s stand!

Then, under the gaze of billions of people worldwide, filled with shock and disbelief!

Their figures vanished into thin air right where they stood!

When they reappeared, they were already on the bridge of the ”expedition,” which was full of futuristic technology!

”Th-this is?!”

”Spatial Teleportation?!”

All the bigshots experiencing this godlike technology for the first time were like a bunch of poor souls who had seen a ghost! Their mouths were wide enough to fit an aircraft carrier! Their faces were etched with unprecedented, ghost-seeing terror and earth-shattering shock!

Lu Chen, acting as if he had done something trivial, smiled faintly at the group of ”country bumpkins” who had been completely scared witless.

Then, in front of everyone, he slowly walked up to the Captain’s Throne, which symbolized supreme power, and slowly sat down.

He looked at the beautiful yet tiny Azure Blue Planet outside the window, his dark eyes, vast as the cosmos, flashing with godlike indifference and majesty.

”Everyone.”

His voice was not loud, yet it echoed clearly in everyone’s ears like a divine oracle that split heaven and earth.

”Welcome to my ship.”

”And, welcome to...”

”The New Era.”

That afternoon.

A top-level emergency meeting, more serious and somber than any before, was secretly convened on the bridge of the ”expedition”!

Attending were all the highest-level decision-makers of the Earth Federation!

There was no trace of the excitement of having just unified the globe on their faces!

Only the dead ash and despair of those who had lost a parent!

Because just now! The ultimatum of ”the cleaners,” signed personally by Lu Chen and filled with the aura of death and destruction, had been simultaneously sent to each of their personal terminals!

”Everyone.” In the conference room, Lu Chen slowly spoke, his voice hoarse and heavy. ”I believe everyone understands the situation. Now I want to hear your thoughts.”

The entire bridge was deathly silent.

No one spoke, because everyone’s minds were still dominated by the immense fear imposed by the Death Countdown, which was enough to suffocate all of human civilization!

”I... I suggest...” In the end, it was the newly appointed Acting Commander of the Western Alliance who first broke the oppressive silence.

He looked at the calm Eastern Youth! His blue eyes were filled with endless bitterness and pleading!

”I suggest that starting today! All nations and all peoples of humanity should discard all prejudice and hatred! To form an unprecedented, unbreakable Unified Earth Front!”

”We must contribute all our resources, all our talents, and all our strength without reservation! To be uniformly allocated by you, Mr. Lu Chen, to jointly confront the doomsday crisis that will descend four hundred years from now!”

This declaration, filled with the tragedy and determination of ”a warrior cutting off his own wrist,” instantly received unanimous agreement from all the National Commanders present!

”I agree!”

”We also agree!”

”For humanity!”

”For survival!”

For a moment! The entire bridge was filled with an unprecedented, unified, tragic, and heroic spirit!

Lu Chen looked at the ”historic” scene before him, without the slightest ripple on his face. As if all this was only natural.

He simply looked calmly at the ”Earthlings” on the screen who had completely abandoned all selfish motives, and slowly said:

”Very good.”

”Since everyone agrees.”

”Then...”

”I announce.”

”I, Lu Chen, officially accept the position of Chief Scientist of the Earth Federation and Chief Navigator of Human Civilization, starting today.”

”Chief Navigator!”

”My first, and only, command is—”

He suddenly stood up from the Captain’s Throne! In his dark eyes, vast as the cosmos, burned a mad fighting spirit capable of making all gods and demons tremble!

”Abandon all illusions!”

”Prepare for war!”
