Cutting-edge Technology: I Provide the Brains, the State Provides Everything

145: A global wave of unemployment? I already have a plan!Lu Chen smiled when the ultimate question—”Who should set the rules for the new era?”—filled with historical gravity and future mission, clearly echoed in the main control room of the Kunlun Mountain Underground Base.

He looked at the old man on the video screen, who was gazing back at him with an expression of ”anticipation,” and said calmly:

”My rule is very simple.”

”Whoever has the bigger fist.”

”Is qualified to set the rules.”

When the terrifying miracle of ”Artisan One,” which was capable of causing all factories worldwide to collectively collapse, was clearly presented to everyone through a global live broadcast.

The entire world fell silent.

All the Western industrial giants who had previously felt pride and self-satisfaction over their massive traditional manufacturing industries!

They all became like walking corpses drained of all soul!

One by one, they collapsed onto the floor!

Their faces were ashen.

They knew.

Starting today.

They were finished.

Their proud industrial

hegemony!

Would completely become history!

And what followed.

Was an unprecedented, terrifying event capable of causing the collapse of human society—

a massive

unemployment

wave!

Three days later.

A supreme-level emergency meeting, more serious and solemn than any before it,

Was secretly convened in Meeting Room No. 1, Jinghai City, Xia Country!

Also present were the supreme

leaders from over two hundred countries and regions worldwide!

There was no trace of the excitement of witnessing a new era on their faces!

Only the ashen pallor of mourning, and

despair!

Because just this morning!

A ”Future Prediction” report, written personally by heavenly craft and filled with coldness and cruelty, was simultaneously sent to each of their top-secret inboxes!

The content of the report was simple.

And also

terrifying!

[Based on the production efficiency of ”Artisan One.”]

[It is estimated that within one year, over three billion people globally will be completely]

[unemployed due to the collapse of traditional manufacturing!]

[Within three years, this number will expand to]

[five billion!]

[Within five years]

[Aside from a small number of elites engaged in creative and managerial work.]

[Over ninety percent of humanity will completely devolve into a group of useless]

[”Useless People”!]

Boom!!!

This was no longer a report!

This was a death

sentence capable of suffocating the entire human civilization!

”Mr. Lu Chen!”

The president of a small African country was the first to break down!

He rushed forward like a madman to the calm-faced young man on the video screen and pleaded tearfully:

”I beg you! Please, I beg you to take back that damned ’Matter Printer’!”

”Our country was already dirt poor!”

”We barely managed to scrape by by doing contract work for the Western Alliance!”

”Now that you’ve done this!”

”Ninety percent of our entire nation will be unemployed!”

”We won’t even need to wait for aliens to attack us!”

”We ourselves will be completely

destroyed by hunger and turmoil!”

His desperate wail instantly ignited the commanders of all the small and medium-sized countries present!

”That’s right! Mr. Lu Chen! You are forcing us onto a path of destruction!”

”Please, we beg you to give us a way to survive!”

”We are willing to accept any terms!”

For a moment!

The entire Meeting Room No. 1 turned into a living

hell filled with wailing and pleading!

However,

facing this miserable

scene, one that would move even a bleeding heart.

The god-like young man on the video screen showed not the slightest ripple of emotion on his face.

He merely looked calmly at the pitiful figures before him, whom he viewed as ”clowns performing tricks.”

He slowly shook his head.

Then, under the gaze of all the world’s national leaders, eyes filled with despair and incomprehension.

He uttered a cold

statement that made their souls tremble.

”I told you long ago.”

”The wheel of history rolls forward.”

”Anyone who attempts to block its advance, like a praying mantis trying to stop a chariot,”

”fools,”

”will all be utterly crushed!”

”The reason you currently feel pain and despair.”

”Is not because my technology is too advanced.”

”But because”

A cold, cruel curve appeared at the corner of his mouth!

”You are too weak.”

”So weak that you don’t even qualify to keep up with the development of the era.”

”You!”

The leaders of all the small and medium-sized countries were so enraged by his cruel declaration, which was saturated with blatant ”Social Darwinism,” that they trembled all over!

Their faces turned the color of a pig’s liver!

They all saw a deep trace of

helplessness in each other’s eyes.

They knew.

Lu Chen was about to begin his ”God’s Perspective” Earth

Online

lecture.

”However,”

Just when everyone thought Lu Chen was about to subject them to an inhumane ”genocide.”

He suddenly changed the subject!

”I am a person who is always very ’benevolent’.”

”Although you are weak, stupid, and useless.”

”But considering that everyone here is ’human’.”

”I can point you toward a”

”clear path.”

”Huh?!”

All the despairing leaders snapped their heads up as if grasping the last straw of hope!

A spark of hope

reignited in their ashen eyes!

”It’s very simple.”

Lu Chen extended his finger and lightly tapped the air.

The next second!

The world of ”oasis,” filled with miracles and hope!

Was clearly presented before everyone!

”Since the real world no longer requires so much ’labor’.”

”Then,”

A devilish smile, full of seductive power, curved his lips!

”Why not let them enter a brand new world where they can realize all their life’s worth?”

”A New World?”

”Here.”

He pointed to the magnificent Virtual Immortal City!

His voice was filled with god-like temptation!

”They can become anyone they want to be!”

”They can possess anything they wish to possess!”

”They will completely break free from the damned cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death, and from class solidification!”

”They will obtain true”

”freedom!”

”And”

”immortality!”

”This...”

All the leaders were completely stunned by Lu Chen’s grand blueprint, which was comparable to ”genesis.”

stunned!

They stared blankly at the magnificent virtual world.

That heart, which had long been tormented and riddled with holes by reality!

At this moment, it shamefully began to beat wildly

and rapidly!

Yes.

Since reality was already so cruel.

Then retreating into a perfect virtual paradise.

Didn’t seem like a bad choice?

”Of course.”

Lu Chen smiled faintly, as if reading their minds.

”I know what you are worried about.”

”You worry that once everyone enters the virtual world.”

”The real world will be completely ruined.”

”Don’t worry.”

A meaningful curve appeared at the corner of his mouth.

”Regarding this matter,”

”I already have a countermeasure planned.”
