Cutting-edge Technology: I Provide the Brains, the State Provides Everything

131: The first batch of super soldiers have been born, with combat power comparable to humanoid Gundams! When the Chief’s question, filled with ”imperial statecraft” and ”ultimate entrustment,” regarding how to ”persuade” talents echoed clearly in the control room of the Kunlun Mountain Underground Base, Lu Chen smiled.

”Chief.”

He looked at the old man on the video screen, who was looking at him with an expression of ”anticipation,” and said calmly:

”We, the heroes of the Xia Kingdom.”

”Never need to be ’persuaded’.”

”What they need is only”

”A future worth fighting and sacrificing for.”

”And, I”

A smile like that of a god, filled with absolute confidence and absolute control, curled at the corners of his mouth!

”Will personally create that”

”Future for them!”

One month later. Deep in the Gobi Desert of the Xia Kingdom. One thousand meters beneath the ”Kunpeng” Space Carrier Port, which had been completed less than two months ago!

A brand new, massive, silver-white ”Shennong” biological laboratory, filled with a sense of futuristic technology!

It was like an ancient beast dormant deep in the earth’s core! Silently waiting for its first batch of ”sacrifices”!

And, at this moment. In the center of the laboratory, inside that largest No. 1 enhancement chamber! The atmosphere was so oppressive it felt like it could drip water!

Long Weiguo, Ye Qingcang, and the highest commanders from various special forces of the Xia Kingdom! All of them had gathered here!

There was not a trace of fatigue on their faces! Only a fervent, proud anticipation of witnessing a miracle!

At their very front. One hundred true elite soldiers, carefully selected from the three million active-duty troops of the Xia Kingdom!

Were standing bare-chested, revealing bronze muscles filled with explosive power!

Each of them looked like an iron-blooded statue about to head to the battlefield! Their faces were filled with determination and tragic heroism!

They would become the first pioneers in human history to undergo ”genetic enhancement”! They would also become a group of heroes who used their own lives to pave the way for those who would follow!

”Everyone, heroes.”

Lu Chen was still wearing that simple white research uniform. A harmless, innocent smile still hung on his face.

As if what was about to take place was not a terrifying experiment capable of changing the future form of warfare, but merely a routine blood test.

”I know that everyone is very nervous.”

”But, please trust me.”

”And, trust yourselves.”

”After today.”

”You will no longer be mortals.”

”You will become a group of”

”Guardian deities capable of making even gods and demons tremble!”

”Protecting us, this great country!”

”And, our 1.4 billion lovely”

”Compatriots!”

His words were stirring! Filled with the passion and bewitchment of a pre-battle mobilization!

In an instant, it ignited the long-dormant heroic dreams in the hearts of all the iron-blooded tough men present!

”For the country!” ”For the people!” ”We will not hesitate even if it means death!”

One hundred iron-blooded elite soldiers roared in unison! A terrifying sound wave capable of changing the color of the mountains and rivers! It resounded throughout the entire underground laboratory!

”Good!”

Lu Chen nodded heavily!

”I announce!” ”Phase I of the ’Shennong’ Project, ’Super Soldier’ modification” ”Now, begins!”

As soon as he finished speaking! One hundred silver-white, sci-fi-looking stasis chambers slowly rose from the ground!

The one hundred iron-blooded elite soldiers did not hesitate at all and immediately walked in with long strides!

”Hum—” A slight buzzing sound rang out! The doors of the stasis chambers slowly closed!

The next second! One hundred mysterious vials filled with a pale blue liquid, exuding life force, were precisely injected through automatic injection devices into those one hundred bronze bodies filled with explosive power!

”Urghhh—!!!” Suppressed roars filled with extreme pain instantly erupted from each of the sealed stasis chambers!

All the bigwigs present were as if petrified! Staring blankly at this scene, which could only be described as ”terrifying”! Their minds were completely blank!

They saw! Those one hundred iron-blooded bodies, originally full of masculine vigor! Now, it was as if they had been injected with magma! Their skin instantly turned bright red! Their muscles and veins bulged crazily! It seemed as if they might burst and die on the spot at any moment because they could not withstand the terrifying medicinal power!

”Comrade Lu Chen!” The voice of a commander from the ”Longyan” Special Operations Brigade was trembling! ”What, what is going on here?!” ”They, they won’t be in danger, will they?!”

”Rest assured.” Lu Chen waved his hand calmly. It was as if this terrifying, ”hellish” scene before him was, in his view, merely a small bit of pain that a caterpillar must inevitably experience before breaking out of its cocoon to become a butterfly.

”This is a normal reaction during genetic recombination and optimization.” ”Ten minutes.” ”After ten minutes.” ”You will witness with your own eyes” ”The birth of a miracle.”

Time passed, second by second. Those ten minutes, which could be called a living hell, felt as long as a century to every bigwig present!

Finally, when the last second of the countdown ended. Those one hundred roars filled with extreme pain came to an abrupt halt! The entire laboratory returned to a deathly silence once again.

”Hum—” The doors of the one hundred stasis chambers slowly opened! A wave of white steam, filled with the scent of life and power, rushed toward them!

When the steam dissipated. All the bigwigs present reacted as if they had seen a ghost! They sprang up from their chairs! Their faces were filled with disbelief, horror! And, subversive shock!

What did they see?! They saw with their own eyes! Those one hundred bodies, originally strong but still belonging to the category of ”mortals”! Now, they looked as if they had been personally re-sculpted by a god!

Their muscle lines had become even more perfect! Their body proportions had become even more balanced! Even their height had increased by an average of ten centimeters! Each of them looked like a perfect statue of a god of war, having stepped out of ancient Greek mythology!

And what made their souls tremble even more! Was the terrifying aura invisibly radiating from them! That was no longer an aura that a human should have! They were humanoid beasts capable of tearing tigers and leopards apart and punching dinosaurs!

”This, this, this” Ye Qingcang pointed at the scene before him, which could be called a ”miracle,” his lips trembling, unable to utter a complete sentence! His heart, which had long been tempered by all kinds of storms to be as firm as a rock! At this moment, it was uncontrollably beating wildly!

He knew! From this moment on! The form of warfare in this world! Would be completely rewritten! The future overlords of the land! Would no longer be those cold, heavy steel tanks! But these one hundred Super Soldiers before him, who were comparable to humanoid Gundams!

And, at this moment. Those one hundred ”Super Soldiers” who had just completed their ultimate evolution! After feeling the terrifying power within them capable of splitting mountains and shattering rocks! All of them, as if they had agreed upon it in advance! Knelt on one knee in unison! Toward that young ”deity” who had given them new life! Paying the highest, most fervent tribute of a knight!

”We!” ”Are willing, for Mr. Lu!” ”To go through fire and water!” ”And will not hesitate even if it means death!”
