Invincible Soul Emperor

Chapter 93: Chapter 93: The Brave Xiao Xiao

”Since you seek death, I shall grant it!”

Ye Qingchen shot a cold glance at Han Liang’s retreating back, his fists clenching tightly. He would never show mercy to anyone who dared harm his family!

”Huang Xiaoshuai!” Ye Qingchen called out.

Hearing his name, Huang Xiaoshuai entered from outside the door.

”Take good care of Sister Ye Ying. If a single hair on her head is harmed, I will hold you responsible!” Ye Qingchen said, his voice like ice.

”Yes, yes, yes...” Watching Ye Qingchen stride away, Huang Xiaoshuai felt a suffocating killing intent surge from him.

「Life and Death Stage」

Han Liang had already stepped onto it.

”Quick, look at the Life and Death Stage! Who’s that?”

”I know him! That’s Inner Sect Disciple Han Liang. I wonder who he’s challenging to a duel to the death!”

The crowd buzzed with discussion, all speculating about who Han Liang was challenging.

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Ye Qingchen, his face a mask of rage, walked step by step toward the Life and Death Stage. Then, to the astonishment of the crowd, he ascended it.

”It’s Ye Qingchen!”

”What? Him again?”

”That guy was just on the Life and Death Stage a few days ago.”

”But his opponent this time is Han Liang! Han Liang is two entire Realms higher than Liu Wenqiang!”

”Doesn’t that make him a second-level martial master...”

...

”Take me to the Life and Death Stage!” Ye Ying cried out.

”But your body...” Huang Xiaoshuai hesitated.

”Ye Qingchen is risking his life for me! I have to go!”

After Ye Ying glared at him, Huang Xiaoshuai obediently supported her as they walked step by step toward the stage.

Hei Ze and Xiao Xiao also hurried over when they heard the news.

”Young Master! Go for it! You have to avenge Sister Ye Ying!” Xiao Xiao shouted, raising her small fists.

”Heh, where did this silly girl come from? That’s Han Liang up there. What is your Young Master compared to him, daring to challenge him to a life-or-death duel?” a dashing young man sneered. Ye Qingchen, it would be best if you died on that stage!

”It’s him!”

Hei Ze merely glanced at the dashing young man before focusing all his attention back on the Life and Death Stage. Clearly, Hei Ze knew this young man, but the young man did not recognize Hei Ze.

Just as Xiao Xiao was about to retort, she saw Ye Ying making her way toward them. Supported by Huang Xiaoshuai, Ye Ying came to Xiao Xiao’s side.

Looking at Ye Qingchen on the stage, then at Xiao Xiao, who was brimming with excitement and showed no signs of worry, Ye Ying asked with a flicker of concern, ”Xiao Xiao, do you think Qingchen can win?”

”Haha, Sister Ye Ying, you can rest assured. The Young Master will definitely win!”

”Win my ass!” the dashing young man scoffed.

”You! Hmph!” Xiao Xiao huffed, pouting as she turned her head away and ignored him.

On the Life and Death Stage, Han Liang sneered, ”Ye Qingchen, you came, just as I expected. Heh!”

Ye Qingchen gave Han Liang a cold look. ”Speak. What was your real purpose for abducting Ye Ying? With your strength, you could have taken an Outer Sect Disciple without anyone noticing!”

”Heh, you’re smarter than you look. I’ll tell you the truth. Liu Wenqiang was my good brother. You killed him, so it’s only natural that I avenge him!” Han Liang’s expression turned cold. ”Now, it’s time for you to die!”

As his voice fell, he hurled a punch at Ye Qingchen. The Spiritual Energy of a second-level martial master erupted from his Dantian, instantly converging upon his fist!

Ye Qingchen remained perfectly composed. He activated his Dual Pupil Martial Soul in a flash, and the distribution of power in Han Liang’s punch became clearly visible. He casually raised his hand. Spiritual Power surged from his Dantian, flowing through his meridians and into his fist, aimed directly at the weakest point of Han Liang’s attack!

BOOM!

The collision of their fists produced a dull thud.

CRACK! CRACK!

Han Liang’s right arm twisted at a bizarre angle, and the sound of cracking bone echoed continuously. He let out a blood-curdling scream as agonizing pain drenched his forehead in cold sweat.

A single punch had crippled his right arm!

”Is that guy for real? He disabled Han Liang with a single punch?”

”The Martial Master Realm! He’s actually reached the Martial Master Realm!”

The crowd’s voices were thick with disbelief.

Watching Ye Qingchen on the stage, Hei Ze nodded in approval. Not bad combat power! It seems the kid hasn’t taken any elixirs to forcibly raise his Realm. After all, those who use such pills wouldn’t have this kind of fighting strength! In that case, Ye Qingchen’s cultivation talent is truly astonishing!

”See? Didn’t I say my Young Master would definitely win?” Xiao Xiao said triumphantly, glancing at the dashing youth beside her.

”Trash! Absolute trash!” the young man grumbled in annoyance.

On the stage, Han Liang hardly dared to breathe. The last time I saw him, he was only at the Ninth Layer of the Martial Artist Realm. That was just a few days ago, and now he’s a martial master! Even if he’s only at the first level, he crippled me in a single punch! Hmm? That little girl just called Ye Qingchen ’Young Master’? Could she be his maidservant? Heh, perfect!

At this thought, a sinister smile flashed across Han Liang’s face. He leaped off the stage, charging toward Xiao Xiao at extreme speed!

”What is Han Liang doing? Why did he run off the stage?”

”Look where he’s going... It looks like he’s trying to capture the other guy’s maidservant!”

”Can’t beat the master, so he goes for the maidservant? This Han Liang has no shame at all!”

”But why isn’t Ye Qingchen stopping him? He’s just standing there in a daze.”

”I guess Ye Qingchen is just a cold-blooded animal. He doesn’t care if the people around him live or die...”

Han Liang laughed smugly. Hahaha! I’m about to succeed! For all his skill, Ye Qingchen is an idiot. Can’t he see I’m going after his maidservant? His left hand shot out toward Xiao Xiao’s head.

But Xiao Xiao made no move to dodge. To everyone watching, it seemed the pretty little maidservant had been frightened into a stupor, completely forgetting to evade.

Just as Han Liang’s hand was about to touch her—

Xiao Xiao raised her delicate fist toward the oncoming Han Liang.

When Han Liang saw what Xiao Xiao was doing, he couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Hahaha, Ye Qingchen is stupid, but I never expected his maidservant to be even dumber! She sees me coming and doesn’t even try to run; she’s actually raising her fist! Such a pretty, delicate girl, like a porcelain doll. She’ll probably cry for a long time if I punch her, right?

BOOM!

Xiao Xiao unleashed her strength in an instant, not even bothering to release the Soul Power from her Vermilion Bird Martial Soul!

Under the force of her punch, Han Liang’s face twisted grotesquely. Then, his entire body was sent flying back onto the Life and Death Stage, where he landed unconscious!

A deathly silence fell over the area.

No one could have anticipated such a turn of events.

After a full ten seconds of silence, a series of sharp gasps rippled through the crowd.

HISS...

”Is that a maidservant?”

”She’s that powerful?”

”If she punched me like that, I think I’d cry for a long time!”

”You? I think you’d be crying to the King of Hell!”

”Give me a break! Take that back, and we can still be bros...”
