Invincible Soul Emperor

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Annihilation or Ye Qingchen’s Death

BANG!

Their fists collided fiercely. The sound of striking bone echoed as they both staggered back five or six meters before steadying themselves.

Wang Hu, standing behind Liu Haizhou, frowned at the sudden appearance of the young man. This youth is only at the Eighth Layer of the Martial Apprentice realm, yet he can actually withstand a punch from Liu Haizhou!

Although Liu Haizhou had only used eighty percent of his strength, the fact that they were evenly matched was still incredibly impressive. Getting into the Heavenly Profound Sect as an outer disciple will be no problem for him!

Liu Haizhou’s expression darkened as he looked at the youth who had appeared so suddenly. ”The Ye Family actually has a junior who can withstand my punch. That’s quite a surprise. You’ve got some skill. What’s your name?”

The youth didn’t speak. Instead, Ye Xiao, who was standing to the side, felt his pupils shrink as he exclaimed in astonishment, ”Ye Qingchen!”

Ye Xiao never imagined that the person who had just saved him was Ye Qingchen, the very same person he had mocked and lectured outside the Martial Soul testing room just days ago. He had called Ye Qingchen trash that day, but now, this so-called ”trash” had blocked a powerful enemy and saved his life.

At this thought, Ye Xiao’s face flushed red with shame.

”When did Brother Qingchen get so strong?”

”He’s so cool!”

The younger members of the Ye Family on the Martial Arts Training Ground began to cheer.

”Brother Ye Xiao, Ye Qingchen doesn’t seem as cowardly as you said...” Ye Xiaofei muttered quietly.

”To send a strong enemy flying with one punch... I wish I could show off like that,” Ye Peng said, his face full of envy.

Hearing this, Ye Xiao’s face grew even redder. These two brats... why do they always have to twist the knife?

”You’re that piece of trash, Ye Qingchen?”

Across from him, Liu Haizhou’s gaze fell on the green-robed youth, a hint of shock in his eyes. Wasn’t Ye Qingchen trash, his cultivation permanently stuck at the First Layer of the Martial Apprentice realm? How did he suddenly reach the Eighth Layer?

However, a thought soon occurred to Liu Haizhou, and his eyes widened. ”Hmph! You must have cultivated some Demon Technique. After crippling my cousin Li Susu’s Dantian, you absorbed her cultivation to reach the Eighth Layer of the Martial Apprentice realm!”

Ye Qingchen’s thoughts raced. Cousin? This youth must be Li Susu’s cousin, Liu Haizhou! And he must be here for me!

”Today, I will kill you, you demonic cultivator, and rid the world of evil!”

A murderous aura surged from Liu Haizhou. He stomped fiercely on the ground and, as fast as a darting rabbit, charged toward Ye Qingchen. He threw another punch, this one with his full strength, several times more powerful than the last!

”Hmph! It won’t be that easy to kill me!”

Facing Liu Haizhou’s all-out attack, Ye Qingchen was fearless. He clenched his fist, ready to fight.

Just then, a fragrant breeze wafted past. A slender figure scooped Ye Qingchen up, and her long legs carried them rapidly away, dodging Liu Haizhou’s punch.

A pleasant fragrance filled Ye Qingchen’s nose, and he felt a soft warmth against his back. Ye Ying stared down at him in her arms with a look of pure frustration. ”Are you an idiot? Don’t you know how to dodge when someone attacks you?”

Ye Qingchen was speechless. Dodge? Why should I dodge? I was about to fight him!

Ye Ying then turned her angry gaze to Ye Xiao. ”Ye Xiao, what are you just standing there for? Someone is bullying a member of our clan, and you’re not even going to help?”

Ye Xiao was also speechless. Help? I’m the one who needed saving!

”Another one? Hmph! Then I’ll just kill you both!”

Liu Haizhou’s murderous intent did not diminish in the slightest. But just as he was about to attack again, a cold snort echoed. ”Coming to the Ye Family to kill someone? You’ve got a lot of nerve, boy!”

A middle-aged man with a stern face walked over.

”Clan Leader!”

”Clan Leader!”

Seeing the man, Ye Ying, Ye Xiao, and the other juniors bowed in greeting, their hearts filled with joy. The Clan Leader was their reassurance. The newcomer was none other than the Ye Family’s Clan Leader, Ye Changyun.

Liu Haizhou did not make a rash move against Ye Changyun. Instead, he looked to Wang Hu. ”Master...”

Wang Hu understood and nodded. ”I am Wang Hu, an outer sect steward of the Heavenly Profound Sect. I have come with my disciple, Liu Haizhou, to seek justice for his cousin, Li Susu!”

”They’re from the Heavenly Profound Sect!”

Upon hearing this, the expression on every Ye Family member’s face changed drastically. The Heavenly Profound Sect was the second-largest sect in the Northern Desolate Country, second only to the Qingyun Sect. Their power was immense, and most people would never dare to provoke them. They never expected these two to be from such a powerful sect.

A chill went down Ye Changyun’s spine, but he forced a smile. ”So, it is Steward Wang of the Heavenly Profound Sect. A pleasure to meet you.

”There are other circumstances regarding the matter between Ye Qingchen and Li Susu. Please, come to the meeting hall, and I will explain the entire sequence of events...”

Wang Hu raised a hand, cutting him off. ”There’s no need. I’m already clear on the facts, and I don’t want to waste time. This must be settled today!

”What I said earlier wasn’t a discussion with your Ye Family, it was a notification. Moreover, I hope Clan Leader Ye understands it would be best not to intervene in the affairs of the younger generation.”

Ye Changyun was taken aback. The smile vanished from his face, and he shook his head firmly. ”You bully a junior of my clan and expect me, the Clan Leader, to stand by and watch? Impossible!”

Wang Hu snorted coldly. ”Then I’ll just have to cripple you first!”

The words had barely left his mouth when Wang Hu’s figure flashed like lightning. In an instant, he was before Ye Changyun, a palm strike chopping down fiercely.

Ye Changyun quickly raised his arms to block, and Wang Hu’s palm slammed into them. Feeling as if a giant tree had crashed into his arms, Ye Changyun was sent stumbling back more than ten meters before he could regain his footing, his arms trembling violently.

Ye Changyun was horrified. A martial master! His strength is far beyond my own; I’m no match for him!

Just as Ye Changyun steadied himself, Wang Hu was upon him again and unleashed another vicious palm strike, its momentum even greater than before.

Ye Changyun thrust out a palm to meet it. At the same time, an elder rushed forward from behind Ye Changyun, launching a palm strike of his own. The two of them struck at Wang Hu simultaneously.

BANG!

Their three palms collided. Wang Hu stood his ground, unmoved, while Ye Changyun and the elder were both driven back four or five meters. Even facing two opponents, Wang Hu still held the clear advantage.

”Supreme Elder!”

The elder who had arrived was none other than the Supreme Elder of the Ye Family. His cultivation had reached the peak of the Ninth Layer Martial Artist realm, making him even stronger than Ye Changyun. Yet, even with their combined strength, they were no match for Wang Hu. It was a testament to how terrifying Wang Hu’s power truly was.

”The Ye Family has so many people, yet it’s a pity that from the oldest to the youngest, not a single one of you can fight,” Wang Hu said with a disdainful sneer. ”Do I make a move and annihilate your entire Ye Family, or does my disciple make a move and kill only Ye Qingchen? You have two paths. Choose.”
