ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

Now then…… It’s almost time for me to look away. It seems that no one else had anything to say here…… Ahh, yeah, I should probably get going. But before that……

「Oh, umm…… Urdim…–san…?」

「Muh?」

「Umm…… Could it be that you are in…… a bad mood, or something……?」

「No. THAT. IS. NOT. THE. CASE. HERE.」

Hmm, really? Somehow…… His whole body was letting that really menacing aura, and it felt so sharp that it might actually cut you if you try to touch him at the current moment.

Urdim-san is a self-proclaimed Oak, something really similar to an Orc, but I guess not quite it? The Orcs are designed to look like humanoid pigs or wild boar giants, but Urdim-san looks completely different except that he is a giant. In the first place, he has six eyes and his fangs are completely carnivorous, and the crustacean-like plating all over his whole body is more like a murderous coating than a purely decorative thing. I get a feeling that just touching this plating would be more than enough to cause you some decent amounts of damage.

And it seems that ever since the defeat of the Tomahawk, he managed to evolve even further. There was a sharp outer shell covering his entire body, that can only be said to be razor-sharp, processed into the shape of armor rather than a shell itself. No, that’s just a Tomahawk blade-like shell. Urdim-san, who was replaced with something of the same quality as the blade-armor that plagued us so much…,… What exactly happened to him?

No, it’s a type of monster that takes in the nature of the opponent that it managed to kill and becomes more powerful thanks to that. Just where is this Oak even going with this……

「No, I mean… how should I put it…… That’s a rather…… intense look you are giving right now, you know?」

「Umu…… It seems that, defeating that opponent, has changed me even, more that I, thought it would.」

No, I guess it’s because when Urdim-san takes the power of the defeated opponent, he also ends up taking in a part of their nature. Or that’s the most logical explanation.

After all, I think this person is the type of Last Boss who wants to protect humanity so desperately that it runs into the opposite extreme, forcing him to say: “There is no other choice here but to destroy humanity in its entirety!” Finally, he’s the type who is touched the beauty of people and softens his attitude a little bit before he ultimately dies, it’s just so stupid! There are two types of last bosses like that, but which one he ultimately is remains a mystery…… No, don’t give up. If you continue to be shown the goodness of people, you will surely come to trust us and turn into a reassuring ally.

「Sanraku-kun, Sanraku-kun!」

「What is it?」

「Try whispering something naughty into my ear for a second……!!」

「WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH……!!!!!!!!!」

「Ugh!? I can feel that even in my brain!?」

For the time being, I scream with all of my might right into her ear and then I deliver a chop to the side of her head. Other than that, it’s no good if you look at it, one Player is chewing on the magazine, and the other one is well about to lick his halberd, and one other is swinging a Ritual Sword while slamming it into the ground. Isn’t it just like a bunch of malignant people gathered in here at one moment? Get a grip, you people!

「Umm, well, what is it…… Urdim-san. This subjugation would definitely have killed some of us here if you hadn’t made so much effort on the frontlines. Thank you for your cooperation.」

「Muh…… Me too, human beings, really surprising. Thank you for, lending me your strength, in this battle.」

Hey, see? You are a really nice person when you want to be, huh? But it would be better to be always on alert around this guy. With characters like that, it is all too easy for them to say all of a sudden shit like: “Well, I done all that I could, I guess it’s time to die now”. For the time being, it seems that the concept of shaking hands is also becoming more and more familiar to him, so we shook hands once more after I extended my hand to him. But isn’t this basically like holding onto a razor-sharp knife at the current moment!?

「To not be afraid of shaking hands with a hand like that…… I knew it, you are pretty gutsy for a mere human…… Or are all humans just like that?」

「Well, I don’t know, about others, but I sure am gutsy alright. Well, at the very least it is something that I can easily afford……」

「Hoo? Well, if you are mustering a courage like that, then I want in on that, too! But maybe we should wait until our HP recovers just a little bit more.」

「We stayed up all night to fight a common enemy, so that means that we are friends already, right?」

「Nufufu.」

For some reason, what started now was a handshake event with Urdim-san. Perhaps he doesn’t understand the situation the best, but I can’t explain it because it’s mostly working out so far. For the time being, the handshake event was over because Deepslaughter shook hands with him with the help of the third hand that grew from her back.

「…… I wonder if we should go back to Catzeria and report the situation.」

「Shouldn’t we pay a visit to the place where the Minotaurs are?」

「I don’t know the exact location.」

For the time being, if the quest does not require us to proceed to Catzeria, it will be an expedition to the base of Minotaurs from here on out…… Well, which means that we will move away from any human settlement.

「Well, for the time being……… That would be all for the True Dragon subjugation battle! Everyone! Thank you so much for your active participation!」

…

………

……………

It’s morning now. Basically, all of the people here are good when it comes to playing all-nighters for the game, so while there might be some slack here and there, there is almost no change in their performance. And while we have returned to Catzeria with the help of Teleportation Magic of Deepslaughter, we found out that the summit was still being held. We decided to pay the venue a visit.

「……… Muh.」

There she is! The Queen of Minotaurs, Aste…… what was that, again?

「Ah! There you are, the Queen of Minotaurs!」

「The terrifying dragon, has been…… Properly, disposed of……」

Suddenly, Urdim-san pointed that out and we all followed by showing off out Dragon-Killing Buster Arms…… And finally, I raised Aradval high in the air and proclaimed:

「You can send good news to your husband who is undergoing medical treatment.」

Now, it says a whole lot about ShangriLa Frontier’s graphic engine that it can render the cow’s head with so much details, so much that you could clearly see the expression of pure astonishment on the Queen’s face. Anyways, we succeeded in defeating the True Dragon, a powerful enemy comparable to Unique Monsters and Raid Monsters in terms of performance.
