Immortality begin with Alchemy Grandmaster

Chapter 2525: Chapter 928: Elder Fu Entrusts His Orphan, Descendant of an Old Friend

”Yes, I have arrived.”

Amidst the hazy morning mist, a figure in white, akin to a banished immortal, emerged.

Still as youthful, still as composed, even...

”You’re still so cautious, aren’t you?”

Elder Fu sensed Luo Chen’s Divine Consciousness spreading in all directions and couldn’t help but laugh.

After confirming there were no other Nascent Soul Stage Cultivators within the Shen Fu Sect, Luo Chen retracted his Divine Consciousness and smiled apologetically, ”My situation is somewhat complicated, please bear with me, Elder.”

Elder Fu nodded, ”I understand, Central Continent Star Gate Guest Elder, Mingyuan Pill Saint Hall Master.”

Luo Chen’s connection with the Tianyuan Daoist Sect was no secret, many knew about it.

After all, the Luotian Treasure Pavilion previously handled by the Luotian Sect was backed by the Tianyuan Business Alliance.

But the fact that he was a Guest Elder of the Star Gate was known to very few, only a handful like the Lingtian City Lord were aware.

Hearing the other party speak like this, Luo Chen’s brows furrowed slightly.

”Have Daoist Sect Cultivators visited you?”

Elder Fu didn’t conceal it and said straightforwardly, ”Nowadays in the Eastern Wasteland, any major power with a reputation has been visited by Tianyuan Daoist Sect Cultivators.”

Luo Chen raised an eyebrow and was about to inquire further when Elder Fu shifted the topic.

”However, the one who came to visit me was a woman. Her name—Fu Qinglan.”

”So it was her!”

Luo Chen’s expression grew a bit complex, he hadn’t expected this woman to also come to the Eastern Wasteland.

She probably wasn’t here just for him, but also for her grandfather!

Seeing Luo Chen indeed recognized the person, Elder Fu praised, ”As far as I know, that woman is a significant figure within the Tianyuan Daoist Sect, her master is even a God Transformation expert. To have such an extraordinary person travel thousands of miles to seek you out, you truly live up to the name, Alchemy Sect Luo Chen!”

Luo Chen smiled wryly, ”Elder, please don’t mock me. If we ever meet, it might end up in conflict.”

Elder Fu frowned, puzzled, ”That shouldn’t be the case. I found her attitude quite decent, she just wanted to meet you. In fact, thanks to you, my Shen Fu Sect also gained some protection.”

Luo Chen suddenly asked, ”Then did you invite me here on her behalf?”

Elder Fu quickly waved his hand, ”How could I expose your whereabouts? This time, I’ve been holding on, waiting for you to appear, merely fulfilling my last wish.”

Saying this, the aura of decay on him became increasingly noticeable.

Elder Fu was already quite old, and he had frequently fought with others.

Especially during a great battle at Lingtian Pass, he was severely injured by the Demon Emperor. Even with the aid of Luo Chen’s elixirs, it inevitably affected his lifespan.

Now, his end was near, just a matter of days.

Amidst the heavy atmosphere, Elder Fu barely managed to smile.

”You’ve come from afar and must be exhausted, have a cup of water wine!”

Now, in the heart of winter, snow was falling heavily outside, enveloping everything in a silvery sheen.

Though beautiful, the deep chill was unavoidable.

Most importantly, as a Nascent Soul Ascendant Sect, they hadn’t set up any related array barriers to alter the temperature, which was enough to reveal the current plight of the Shen Fu Sect.

Luo Chen remained silent and drank the warm spirit wine prepared by Elder Fu.

When his abdomen felt warm, he said, ”You invited me here, not just to see an old friend before departing, right?”

Elder Fu sighed, ”The reason involves the matter I mentioned earlier.”

That matter?

Luo Chen was puzzled but quickly understood.

The Tianyuan Daoist Sect Cultivators visiting major sects in the Eastern Wasteland!

Seeing Luo Chen comprehend, Elder Fu nodded.

”With Mingyuan’s downfall, Tianyuan took control of the Eastern Wasteland. The first thing they did was subdue the former Mingyuan Sect’s vassal, the East Sun Sect, and the second was to hunt down the remnants of Mingyuan, preventing this overlord of three thousand years from rising again. Like Gu Hong and Lin Yonghua we’ve met, some have died or fled. As for the third thing, cough cough...”

Elder Fu coughed twice, his deteriorating complexion turning a bit red.

Once he caught his breath, he chuckled bitterly, ”Apologies, this body of mine truly can’t withstand it any longer.”

Luo Chen expressed his understanding, his eyes reflecting sympathy.

Now, Elder Fu’s situation couldn’t be cured by medicine.

It was an irreversible condition, and he had reached the limit of his lifespan.

Even providing him with some life-extending spirit medicine would be like a drop in the ocean, only prolonging his life by days or months.

Perhaps he had already tried numerous life-extension techniques, and ordinary means were ineffective for him now.

Elder Fu exhaled a long breath of turbid qi and slowly said, ”The third matter, due to the movements of the demon clan in the Million Mountains, with their troops gathering outside the Six Realms of the Far East, Tianyuan Daoist Sect, wanting to take charge of the Eastern Wasteland, must bear the responsibility of confronting the Demon Beast army.”

”They have the strength, but obviously, they lack the will.”

”Verbally, they speak of it, but in reality, they issue commands to our major sects, attempting to make us cannon fodder to fight the Demon Beasts.”

”Those Tianyuan Daoist Sect Cultivators who visited earlier had exactly this purpose.

”My Shen Fu Sect is somewhat better off because of you. That Qing Lan Fairy only asked us to produce more talismans, without requiring us to enter the front lines. However...”

Elder Fu looked up at Luo Chen with a bitter expression.

”You know, once war truly envelops us, who can remain uninvolved?”

Luo Chen agreed with this view.

In the past, didn’t those ancient sects of the Eastern Wasteland have the same plan?

Yet, under the relentless onslaught of the demon clan’s army, the various sects situated safely in the rear were still affected, weren’t they?

”However, given the current situation in the Shen Fu Sect, you, Luo Chen, already scanned with your Divine Consciousness, so you should have some idea!”
