Get Stronger by Pleasing Pokémon? Who Needs to Be a Trainer!

Their eyes revealed something rare.

Hesitation.

For a moment, they seemed unable to believe what was happening before them.

But that hesitation did not last long.

Some inexplicable impulse took control of them, forcing them to attack Lin Feng.

Mega Houndoom opened its mouth and unleashed a torrent of flames directly at him.

Dragonite saw it and immediately became alarmed.

But before it could react, Lin Feng simply raised his right hand.

Psychic power surged around his arm.

He stopped the incoming flames with one hand.

Only then did Dragonite relax.

Although Lin Feng possessed the physique of a True Newborn, his clothes certainly did not.

That was why he had instinctively blocked the sudden flames with his hand.

At this moment, Lin Feng had only one thought.

Good thing I didn’t bring Gardevoir.

Otherwise, I’d never hear the end of this.

After confirming that the flames had not injured him in the slightest, Lin Feng stopped wasting time.

He appeared beside Houndoom in an instant.

Then he kicked the Mega Stone attached to its neck.

Crack!

The stone shattered.

Houndoom’s entire body was sent flying backward.

Then came the next one.

And the next...

.....

At the edge of the battlefield, Zoroark finally arrived.

The first thing it saw was Lin Feng kicking Mega Abomasnow away.

Even Zoroark was startled by the sight.

But then...

It smelled something familiar.

Its heart suddenly trembled.

Zoroark immediately followed the scent.

Beside a Gyarados and a Shiftry, a long-haired young man was lying on the ground.

A thick tree branch had pierced straight through his chest.

He was completely unconscious.

Zoroark’s heart seemed to stop.

It could not believe it.

After everything it had gone through to find its Trainer...

When they finally met again...

Roya was lying right in front of it.

The trembling of the earth continued to shake his body.

Zoroark quickly picked him up.

It tried to keep its body steady.

But its hands would not stop trembling.

”Zoro...”

Its helpless cry echoed through the sky.

.....

Meanwhile, Lin Feng and Dragonite had already dealt with the remaining Pokémon.

In only a few exchanges, every Mega-Evolved Pokémon had been beaten back into its original form.

Lin Feng also removed the Mega Stones from their bodies.

He was just about to examine the energy still erupting from the earth vein when he heard Zoroark’s cry.

Lin Feng looked toward the damaged earth vein.

Since nothing was attacking it anymore, the amount of energy erupting from the opening had already begun to decrease.

The shaking of the ground had also weakened.

But it had not stopped.

To be honest, Lin Feng had no idea how to repair something like this.

Fortunately...

There was someone who might know how.

Lin Feng took out a piece of paper.

Then he tore it apart.

This was the summoning token for Mew.

Without wasting another second, he hurried toward Zoroark.

When he saw the Pokémon lying around the area and the indescribable expression on Zoroark’s face, Lin Feng reached out and patted its head.

”Don’t be sad yet.”

”He’s still alive.”

”Zoro?”

Zoroark stared blankly at him.

It could barely sense its Trainer’s presence anymore.

Even if there was still a trace of his Aura, it was incredibly faint.

With injuries this severe, in a place like this, he would normally have no chance of surviving.

But then Zoroark remembered everything it had witnessed over the past few days.

All the unbelievable things Lin Feng had done.

Hope slowly returned to its eyes.

[Zoro...]

(You can save him... right?)

Lin Feng did not waste time answering.

He immediately lifted Roya’s body with psychic power.

Then he infused him with the Verdant Force.

At the same time, he took a piece of chocolate from his Storage Ball.

Using psychic power, Lin Feng carefully pulled the tree branch out of Roya’s chest while Zoroark watched.

Then he poured more Verdant Force into Roya’s body and placed the chocolate into his mouth.

This was a special chocolate made from Ho-Oh’s Sacred Feather and Peach Berry wine.

One of its cooking effects was called Afterglow of Sacred Ash.

When a Pokémon or human suffered a fatal injury, the effect would activate automatically.

It would restore half of the injuries.

However, it could only activate once.

There was no better time to use it.

The moment the entire process was completed, a faint green glow enveloped Roya.

Zoroark stared.

The wound through Roya’s chest began healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The bleeding stopped.

The damaged flesh rapidly regenerated.

Even his previously pale complexion gradually regained some color.

Zoroark was overcome with an excitement it had never experienced before.

But it did not dare interrupt Lin Feng.

Lin Feng, however, could clearly hear the emotions surging through it.

[Congratulations, Host!]

[Zoroark’s Joy Value has increased from -50 to 90.]

[Rewards: 10 Special Rare Candies, 10 bags of Special Golden Kegla, and one Legendary held item, Spell Tag.]

[Spell Tag: A mysterious talisman rumored to originate from the Spirit World. It has absorbed a tremendous amount of hidden energy. When carried by a Ghost-type Pokémon, it can greatly enhance the power of Ghost-type moves.]

Lin Feng ignored the rewards for the moment.

His attention remained on the young man before him.

The injuries had gradually stabilized.

Lin Feng pushed aside Roya’s messy long hair.

After confirming his appearance, he was certain.

This was Zoroark’s Trainer.

Roya.

.....

By then, the Officer Jennys had finished capturing the troublesome Pokémon.

But when they looked toward the earth vein, their expressions became troubled.

The energy was still pouring out.

The ground was still shaking.

With no other option, they hurried over to Lin Feng.

”Investigator!”

”The earth vein is still releasing energy.”

”The ground is still shaking.”

”What should we do?”

Only then did Lin Feng have time to look toward the energy pillar still shooting into the sky.

His head began to ache.

This thing had already been damaged.

And he honestly had no idea how to fix it.

He looked at the unconscious young man lying nearby.

Lin Feng could only mutter,

”Sorry, brother.”

”If you don’t wake up, I can’t deal with this either.”

He did not know how to repair the earth vein.

But as its guardian, Roya had spent countless years studying it.

He definitely knew how.

The problem was that he was unconscious.

And the earth vein’s energy would not wait for anyone.

Lin Feng could only use the Verdant Force to sense Roya’s memories.

”Repair it...”

”Then bury it again?”

Lin Feng released his hand and began thinking.

Two steps.

First, repair the exposed section of the earth vein.

Second, bury the repaired section again.

It sounded simple enough.

But the first step required something very specific.

Someone with an extremely deep understanding of earth vein energy.

In other words...

Regigigas.

Groudon should probably be capable of doing it as well.

The problem was finding either of them.

That difficulty was obvious.

But Mew might be able to do it too.

It was worth trying.

And there was another piece of good news.

The energy leaking from the earth vein was not an instantaneous explosion.

It was a continuous process.

Once the destruction stopped, the energy would continue leaking, but the rate would gradually stabilize.

The amount of energy released depended on how badly the earth vein had been damaged.

The larger the opening, the faster the energy would escape.

It was similar to a wound on the human body.

The larger the wound, the faster the blood would flow.

And to repair it, you needed something like platelets.

The same principle applied here.

The more earth vein energy that escaped, the larger the area affected would become.

In other words...

Time was the most important factor now.

And fortunately, at that exact moment...

A familiar figure appeared before Lin Feng.

Mew had arrived.

Celebi was with it.

Victini was there too.

[Mew~]

(What’s going on?)

Mew stared curiously at the chaotic scene before it.

Lin Feng’s eyes immediately lit up.

”You came at just the right time.”
