Get Stronger by Pleasing Pokémon? Who Needs to Be a Trainer!

Half an hour later.

Watching the Eevee happily munching on energy cubes, Lin Feng couldn’t help but smile.

He thought to himself:

This little Eevee isn’t bad at all.

It went out with its companions, and the first thing it thought of after being rescued was them.

That alone showed its good character.

But then Lin Feng remembered, this Eevee actually belonged to the Eevee Breeding House, not his own.

When the storm passed, should he ask Fang Youzhi if he could keep this Eevee here?

Of course, before that, he needed to find a way to win its heart.

”Bui~”

From Eevee’s perspective, its impression of Lin Feng was also improving.

Wow…

So this is what energy cubes from outside trainers taste like?

It had never eaten anything so delicious before.

Seeing the satisfied look on Eevee’s face, Lin Feng patted its head and asked, though he already knew the answer, ”Is it good?”

Eevee didn’t even lift its head. ”Bui~” (Delicious, delicious…)

”Then would you like to eat cubes like this more often from now on?”

”Bui! Bui~” (Yes, yes…)

Lin Feng gently coaxed it further. ”Then how about staying here with me? Don’t go back, just stay at my breeding house and become my Pokémon.”

”Bui? Bui~?” (Okay… okay…)

Eevee still didn’t lift its head, not realizing the kind of promise it was making, too busy enjoying its food.

But after a few more bites, it suddenly seemed to realize something.

It raised its head, staring at Lin Feng with wide, dark eyes.

”Bui?” (You want to take me home?)

It thought back to its time at the Breeding House. One by one, its companions had been chosen and taken away.

But it was different. It had sneaked out on its own, called for help, and then met Lin Feng.

If this human wanted to choose it, Eevee felt… very satisfied.

But then it remembered its two closest companions.

Those two Eevee had always been by its side. If it went with this human, would it never see them again?

The thought left it torn.

On one side was this kind human, who treated it so well.

On the other side were its best friends.

And now, the choice was right in front of it.

Seeing the troubled look on Eevee’s face, Lin Feng grew nervous. ”What’s wrong? Do you have something on your mind?”

”Bui…”

Eevee didn’t dare say the real reason. It felt embarrassed. After all, most Eevee at the Breeding House already understood that they would one day have their own trainer, that they would begin a brand new life. Many even looked forward to it.

But it was different. It was conflicted.

Lin Feng didn’t want to forcefully probe its heart with his Viridian powers, so he recalled the League mission report about the missing Eevee.

This Eevee, called Ah Jiu, was described as shy. He figured maybe it just didn’t want to stay here.

With a sigh, he said softly, ”It’s alright. If you don’t want to, that’s fine. When the storm is over, the Breeding House staff will come to take you back.”

”Bui! Bui…”

Seeing the disappointment on his face made Eevee panic. It shook its head wildly. ”Bui, Bui!”

That’s not it!

It didn’t dislike staying here.

Here, the food was good, the human was kind, and he had saved it.

This was the best impression it had ever had of a trainer.

It just didn’t know how to say it.

Fine.

Ah San, Ah Wu…

We probably won’t see each other again.

After much inner struggle, Eevee finally made up its mind.

Friends were important.

But they would also have their own trainers one day. They would part ways eventually.

So… better to part here.

”Huh?”

Lin Feng looked at it, puzzled. ”So… you’re willing to stay?” He still wasn’t sure.

”Sha nai…”

At that moment, Gardevoir, standing nearby, touched her forehead helplessly and acted as translator. ”Sha nai…” (Lin Feng, it’s not that it doesn’t want to stay. It’s just that it can’t bear to leave its two friends behind. The other two Eevee.)

”Ah?” Lin Feng was taken aback, then turned to Eevee in surprise. ”You mean Ah San and Ah Wu?”

”Bui…” Eevee lowered its head shyly and nodded.

Good things… should be shared with friends.

Lin Feng rubbed his chin. Forcing friends apart really wasn’t a good idea. ”I see… Then once the storm clears, I’ll go visit the Breeding House. If possible, I’ll bring your friends here too.”

Buying three Eevee from a Breeding House wasn’t expensive.

Eevee were affordable Pokémon.

Not just in temperament, but in price.

Only a few tens of thousands of yuan each.

Many ordinary families raised one as a pet.

”Bui?”

Hearing this, Eevee’s eyes lit up. ”Bui?” (Really?)

”Of course.”

Lin Feng stroked its fur and smiled.

He was already raising a Dragonite and a Blaziken. A few more little Eevee wouldn’t be a problem.

In fact, he was already imagining what they might evolve into.

First of all…

He definitely wanted a Sylveon.

And the other two?

He pulled out his phone and started looking through all the Eeveelution forms.

Scrolling through them one by one, he quickly found himself stuck.

Flareon? Espeon? Umbreon? Glaceon?

…

In the end, Lin Feng chuckled and shook his head.

He was already making choices before the Eevee were even home?

The evolution should depend on what those Eevee themselves wanted.

By the time he snapped out of his thoughts, the little Eevee had finished its energy cube.

It sneaked a glance at Lin Feng.

It still wanted more, but thought that eating so much on its first visit might not look good.

So it resisted the urge and called softly, ”Bui~” (I’m done.)

But in its haste, crumbs clung to its mouth.

”Do you want some more?”

Lin Feng couldn’t help but wipe its mouth clean.

”Bui…”

Eevee hesitated, then shook its head. ”Bui…” (I’m full.)

This time, Lin Feng noticed its emotions but didn’t expose it. He just smiled. ”Alright then. It’s almost lunchtime anyway. We’ll all eat together soon.”

”Bui?!”

”Yes,” Lin Feng nodded, then his eyes suddenly brightened as if he remembered something. ”Right… there’s something perfect for you.”

He pulled out a small golden bell, adjusted the size, and hung it around Eevee’s neck.

When he gave it a shake, it rang out a clear, pleasant chime.

Ding ling… ding ling…

”Bui?”

At first, Eevee was resistant to having something put around its neck again.

But when it heard the sweet sound, its eyes lit up.

It pawed at the bell, making it ring again.

Seeing this, joy spread across its face.

This was… much more fun than the thing it wore before.

Like a puppy with a new toy, it sat up on its hind legs, pawing at the bell nonstop.

It even let out a happy little whimper.

Watching Eevee play with its new Soothe Bell, Lin Feng’s lips curved into a smile.
