I Have the Alchemy Emperor in My Head

Chapter 322: The Cheat of Being a Federation University Student

After Chu Yunfan left home, he did not linger. Time was of the essence. He headed straight to Lu Qingxuan’s company.

Chu Yunfan felt different from when he first came here half a year ago. The company had been on the verge of closing down. Now, Lu Qingxuan had overcome the crisis. This was a society governed by law. With Chu Zhiguo’s power, even if he wanted to block Lu Qingxuan’s path, he could not cover the entire sky.

Lu Qingxuan had to proceed carefully. The company’s development was finally on the right track.

Chu Yunfan’s arrival immediately attracted Lu Qingxuan’s attention. After all, her company had come back from the brink of death thanks to Chu Yunfan and she still needed to rely on his power. She was clear that she would die without Chu Yunfan’s help. Without Chu Yunfan, she would not be able to find anyone else.

Wearing a business suit, Lu Qingxuan walked out. Her figure was slim and graceful. Compared to half a year ago, she was even more radiant now.

“Master Chu, you’re here,” Lu Qingxuan personally came out to welcome Chu Yunfan. This made many of the newcomers in the company curious about him. However, the old staff had long gotten used to this. The old staff members had gone through difficult times with Lu Qingxuan. At this moment, they were introducing the legendary master Chu to the newcomers.

After entering the reception room, Chu Yunfan sat down on the sofa and took a sip of the tea that Lu Qingxuan had prepared.

“Things have been going quite well recently,” Chu Yunfan said indifferently.

“It’s all thanks to you, Master Chu. If it weren’t for your help, I’m afraid I wouldn’t be where I am today,” Lu Qingxuan said respectfully.

“Why have you come today, Master Chu?” Lu Qingxuan went straight to the point after a short pause.

Of course, she welcomed Chu Yunfan’s arrival. In the past half a year, Chu Yunfan had not come by often. But every time he did, he had given her a lot of benefits. This had made her career advance by leaps and bounds. Otherwise, no matter what, she would not have been able to develop to such an extent.

“I’ll get straight to the point. I want to buy your company,” Chu Yunfan said plainly.

“What?!” Lu Qingxuan exclaimed.

As he stared at Chu Yunfan, she looked puzzled. She recalled that Chu Yunfan did not even have a few hundred thousand dollars before, and now he had the means to buy her company?

After the past six months, her company’s various assets had exceeded 100 million in value. How was Chu Yunfan going to afford it?

At the same time, there was a conflicted feeling in her heart. This company was built of the painstaking efforts of her and her father. She did not want to be bought by others just like that.

“You must be joking, Master Chu,” Lu Qingxuan said as she forced out a smile.

“I’m not.” Chu Yunfan stood up and gazed down at Lu Qingxuan. “In the past half a year, you have developed quickly, Miss Lu. The company’s worth had jumped from just a few ten million to several hundred million. But I think you must’ve already seen the glass ceiling of this growth.”

Lu Qingxuan was stunned. Chu Yunfan’s words resonated with her. The company had developed to this stage, and she had indeed been feeling a little powerless lately.

In the past, Lu Qingxuan’s company was just a small fry that had survived among the cracks of many other bigger companies. She was basically a shrimp among the big fishes. She had no direct competitors. However, when her company had grown from a shrimp to a big fish, everything changed. She was now in direct competition with these big companies.

If Lu Qingxuan only ate the scraps, the big companies would not be bothered. But once she started coming after their slice of the pie, all sorts of pressure came pouring in from all directions.

It was not that Lu Qingxuan would fall, but there was no doubt there was an invisible ceiling that was suppressing her from developing further. According to the development of a normal company, she would have to struggle for at least ten more years. When her connections are stable then she will be able to welcome the next explosion of growth.

Lu Qingxuan’s company had grown too smoothly in the past half a year. She was just starting to feel the cruelty of the world.

“If you wish to develop further, Miss Lu, there’s only one way. And that’s to have a backer,” Chu Yunfan said as he stretched out a finger.

“And now, I can be your backer. With my help, your company’s worth can rapidly rise to one billion, ten billion, maybe even a hundred billion,” Chu Yunfan said.

“Ten billion, a hundred billion...”

Lu Qingxuan was shocked by Chu Yunfan’s lofty ambition. She had thought about ten billion, but a hundred billion was something she had never thought of. Such a feat was as rare as a phoenix feather or a unicorn horn.

Lu Qingxuan took a deep breath and said, “Since we’re talking business, then please tell me, Master Chu. How could you possibly become my backer? As far as I know, your family isn’t wealthy, Master Chu.”

“Wealthy family? I don’t need that. I’m wealthy enough myself,” Chu Yunfan said confidently, “I have news that I can tell you now. I’ve been admitted to Federation University.”

“What?!” Lu Qingxuan said in shock. When she heard Chu Yunfan’s words, she immediately realized the problem.

Although Federation University accepted tens of thousands of students every year, in reality, it was still rare for anyone to be admitted. In a huge city like Calm Ocean City that had a population of over ten million, only about twenty people would be admitted.

Those who could be admitted to Federation University, were all without exception dragons and phoenixes among men. Their future achievements were limitless. The seniors who came out of Federation University all occupied high positions within society. This network held unimaginable wealth.

Even if they would not be given as much care, juniors from the university would naturally be given more resources than the rest of society.

If a Federation University student was willing to work for a large corporation, they would at least start at a manager level. If they started their own business, they would easily reach hundreds of millions in worth within minutes. Many were willing to invest in such high-quality elites.

In short, being a Federation University student was like a cheat. They could do whatever they wanted. If they wanted to enter the government, it would not be long before they were able to rule a region and enter the army and easily become a colonel-level officer. If they were to dabble in business, there would be a line of people waiting to invest in them.

Such a thing was worthy of jealousy. That was why people compared entering Federation University to the legendary carp leaping through the dragon gate.

The carp and the dragon were two different species. The difference between entering Federation University and other universities was not much different from the difference between the carp and the dragon.

This was not because they were blindly ignorant or blindly superstitious about their academic qualifications, but because the students from Federation University were indeed talented. Although many of them were arrogant, their abilities and connections were there. This was something that many people could not compare to.

At this moment, Lu Qingxuan understood why Chu Yunfan had so much confidence.
