Forty Millenniums of Cultivation

When the granary in the south of the city was burning furiously and the fire dragon soared into the sky, undercurrents were flowing near the docks on the river, too.

As Luo Xinglong had said before, in the World of the Fist God, the people who were most likely to be inspired by the God of Machinery and Steam were those who made a living on the shores of the river.

Because of the rough seas and the merciless waters, if one wanted to steer a large ship and ride the waves, they would need some machinery in any case.

Moreover, as the cargo volume from the north to the south grew larger and larger, to the point of expanding the coastal routes, the scale of the cargo ships grew larger and larger, and the mechanical structure of the ships became more and more precise.

On the seashore, where the water was flowing fast, people gradually realized that the water could never run dry during their ten thousand years of life. They gradually thought of ways to save manpower with the ‘waterwheel’.

With water tanks, hydraulic mills, and even machines such as looms driven by water, they were like mushrooms after a rain.

Although the Temple of Fist strictly forbade the residents on both sides of the river from building facilities such as waterwheels and mills…

However, the mechanical spirit had long been integrated into the blood of the people on the water. No matter how hard they tried, it was impossible to destroy the mechanical heart in their hearts.

Therefore, when the believers of machinery and steam named ‘Andre’ snuck into the dock, many sailors, soldiers, and even soldiers of the Iron Fist Legion who secretly believed in the mechanical demons and the steam devils gathered.

Some of them were moving and distributing weapons, some were inciting and contacting more sailors, and some were leaking information to Andre about the defense arrangements of the Iron Fist Legion near the dock.

The fire of the granary was the signal.

The Iron Fist Legion deployed near the dock hurried to the south of the city to reinforce the granary. The troops left there were even weaker.

With a shout, Andre took the lead and charged at the dock with his repeating crossbow.

Countless sailors immediately responded. They summoned thousands of black cloths with white gears as if they were performing a magic trick. Then they picked up the iron chains that they used to paddle and anchor their boats and followed Andre.

The sailors had been oppressed for hundreds of years and were at the bottom of the world of the Fist God.

Their hatred and resistance were even more intense than the believers who burnt the granary.

The Iron Fist Soldiers stationed at the dock were all elites who were fighting one against a hundred.

But under the relentless attacks of the hardcore believers led by Andre, they were still losing ground.

The soaring fire inside the city and the billowing smoke made them panic and lose their fighting will.

When Andre slowly drew close to the dock with two ballistae, a giant bolt almost two meters long and as thick as a wrist pierced through the chest of an expert of the Iron Fist Legion and pinned him to the ground, the morale of the Iron Fist Legion completely dissipated.

The fierce battle lasted almost two hours. The docks were temporarily occupied by the believers of the mechanical demons and the steam demons!

What followed was the most crucial battlefield.

Luo Xinglong, the ‘Holy Son’, and the ‘Holy Lady’ led the elites of the hardcore believers to defend the steam cannons and attack the Temple of Fist in Qianyuan City!

Heavenly Origin City was a big city in the north.

The temple here was also one of the centers of the Iron Fist Arts in the north.

If they could take down the Fist Hall and destroy the statue of the Fist God, the entire world would be shocked.

Encouraged by such inspiring ideologies, countless crazy believers crawled out of the underground and appeared in the streets. Then, they gathered together and marched toward the Temple of Fist like a tide, shouting that the old gods were dead and new gods were standing.

They were faced with the well-prepared Iron Fist Legion.

After all, the Temple of Fist had ruled the world for almost ten thousand years. Although it had declined with the rise of the mechanical demons and the steam demons over the past hundreds of years, its deep heritage was still not something that a mob could shake easily.

Even if a large batch of Iron Fist Soldiers went to reinforce the granaries and docks…

The priests, the ascetics, and the Divine Fist Generals who stayed in the temple were still using their bodies that were emitting metal colors and their fighting will that was as sharp as swords to form an indestructible wall.

“You are overestimating yourself!

The experts of the Iron Fist Legion sneered and lunged at the fanatics.

Rows of buildings and winding alleys in the city were not suitable for serial crossbows and steam guns. On the contrary, they were the best battlefields for melee combat.

When the experts of the Iron Fist Legion, who were as light as swallows, passed by the eaves, dodged the random arrows, and attacked the crazy believers who were crowding in the street, they started slaughtering them like tigers attacking sheep.

The alley was packed with people. People were pushing and shoving each other. It was a complete mess. There was no way to reload, pump, and aim.

Most of the arrows and bullets hit their companions.

On the other hand, the experts of the Iron Fist Legion could punch, elbow, and knee into the bodies of the fanatics unscrupulously.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

Pu! Pu pu pu!

The sound of bones breaking echoed nonstop. Cries and screams were echoing nonstop.

Just like the Fist God did not protect his believers when he was faced with Gus’ storm bolter.

Faced with the iron fists of the experts of the Iron Fist Legion, neither the mechanical demons nor the steam demons blessed their believers.

The fanatics’ first wave of attack was blocked just like that.

However, the mechanical demons and the steam demons were not without experts.

In addition to crossbows and steam guns, experts in the arts of mechanics and steam would also use a special weapon called “steam acceleration device” when fighting.

The weapon was like a giant turtle shell on the back of the user.

As it turned out, the tubes were connected to the body of the user so that their hands, feet, and other body parts could spurt out strong steam, thereby accelerating the movement of the limbs and achieving the purpose of 3D movement.

Such experts were known as ‘jet warriors’. They were the core forces of the Steam Legion.

Seeing that the ordinary believers were blocked, dozens of jet fighters immediately charged at the brutal experts of the Iron Fist Legion.

Chi! Chi! Chi! Chi!

Dozens of rapid air currents spurted out behind them like white arrows. The strong counterforce pushed them forward at a lightning fast speed.

BAM!

The saber of the jet fighter collided with the iron fist of the expert of the Iron Fist Legion!

The sabers on one side were all equipped with jet acceleration devices that could accelerate the saber to the maximum speed by spurting the air.

The other party, on the other hand, had been smearing, tempering, and honing his body with secret medicines since childhood. Every inch of his flesh and blood had been trained to be harder than steel.

The result of the fierce collision was like the explosion of a steam engine. Light, heat, and noises were echoing nonstop.

The jet warrior’s saber was broken. The steam tubes were dancing crazily like vipers whose heads had been chopped off.

The expert of the Iron Fist Legion, on the other hand, held his broken fingers and twisted hands and fell backward, vomiting blood.
