Forty Millenniums of Cultivation

Han Te could not look at Princess Summer in the eyes.

He had been pushed back by Princess Summer’s intimidating aura.

Princess Summer turned around and looked at Jade. “Let me out. It will do everybody good.”

Jade pondered for a moment and clapped her hands.

The liquid metal alloy below Princess Summer’s feet suddenly dispersed, revealing a silver swirl.

Princess Summer fell into the swirl. The liquid alloy covered her head. Very soon, she vanished from the cockpit.

Han Te was greatly surprised. Then he burst into fury. He strode forward and grabbed Jade’s collar, shouting, “What are you doing? Who told you to let her out?”

“She’s right. It will do nobody any good if she stays here.”

Jade said calmly, “Firstly, if you continue to harass him and stall him, Black Jack will break through the cabin wall and occupy the place any minute.

“Secondly, Princess Summer’s mental state is not stable. If we disobey her, she might cause immeasurable damage.

“Thirdly, and most importantly, although you can give me the coordinates of the Pangu Universe, the universe is vast, and the space jumps and regular cruising abilities of the escape capsules are not satisfactory. Nobody can guarantee that we will reach the Pangu Universe after a few precise jumps.

“Maybe, we will have to cruise in space for decades or even hundreds of years before we find the Pangu Universe.

“Every passenger in the escape capsule will consume twice as much food and fuel. Our sailing time and journey will be halved, which means that the odds of finding the Pangu Universe will be reduced to 50%.

“Since she is just a native of the Jadeite Continent and not an indispensable key figure, what’s the point of bringing her along? If you are alone, the success rate of our mission will be greatly improved, and your odds of survival will be greatly improved, won’t you agree?”

“Good my ass!”

Han Te’s eyes were bloodshot, and his face was hideous. He was about to punch the indifferent silver face of the jade. Shaking the jade hard, he bellowed, “The value of human beings cannot be measured by a few cold numbers. I don’t care. I command you to drag her back right now. I—I have the highest authority on Jade. I am the captain-to-be of Jade. As the captain-to-be, I command you to get her back at whatever cost!”

“I’m sorry, but you don’t have the slightest bit of the Witch Gene left in your body.”

Jade’s face was still cold and rigid, but there was mockery in her voice. “You are no longer the captain-to-be of Jade, and all your privileges have been revoked. Since you are not willing to take on the mission and the strength of the witch, you are not qualified to shout at me. Who do you think you are? Why should I obey your orders?”

“I—”

As if he had been struck by lightning, Han Te’s face was pale. He took two steps back and clutched his chest, feeling that he was about to vomit blood.

“Besides, what can I do even if I drag her back by force? Do I have to help you tie her up and stuff her into the escape capsule? She was right. If so, what’s the difference between you and Black Jack? Why did she choose you instead of Black Jack?”

Jade said, “At the very least, Black Jack is ten times more handsome than you, and his combat ability is a hundred times higher. Judging from the fact that he can deal with so many harems, he must be much stronger than you in that regard. Besides, he does not have any hobbies that nobody should know about…”

“I don’t have any hobbies, either!

Han Te tore off the curved breastplate on his chest and stomped on the ground heavily.

Of course, she would keep the short skirt for now.

Although Jade was not a real woman, it felt weird to take off her skirt in front of Captain Kelly.

“Alright.”

Jade admitted, “Even if you don’t have any special hobbies, shouldn’t you at least admit that you are not as handsome and tough as Black Jack?”

Hunter was silent.

He gnashed his teeth, his cheeks bulging. Both his cheeks were burning, and his eyes were red and swollen. He did not know how to vent his depression.

“It is not dishonorable to admit one’s weakness. On the contrary, it is the greatest rationality of intelligent life.

Jade said, “Don’t let your useless emotions control your brain. Are you familiar with Princess Summer?”

Han Te nodded at first and then shook his head. “I don’t know. Theresa is quite familiar with her. But I—I’m probably not Theresa. I’m Han Te, an outsider who has nothing to do with this place. I don’t want to be a ghost at all. Naturally, I’m not Princess Summer’s ‘good sister’.”

“Isn’t that good enough?”

Jade said, “You’ve become your real self. Stop overthinking. Right now, I’ve activated the escape procedures. Get ready. Let’s go!”

“Leaving so soon?” Han Te was at a loss.

“Of course. Princess Summer is buying us more time. If we don’t leave now, when will we?”

While talking, Jade clapped her hands again.

The transparent, liquid alloy walls that could be observed from the outside resumed their silver color. Colorful colors were blossoming around the walls. All kinds of new structures were highlighted under the control of the nanomachines.

The cockpit was changing into the control room of the escape capsule.

In front of Han Te, the silver-white cabin wall was gradually replaced by a black universe that was as vast as an ocean. The scattered brightness formed a star map.

Behind him, a pupa-type hibernation pod slowly floated up and hugged him.

“It is estimated that the escape capsule will be installed in three minutes, and all the preparations will be completed in five.

Jade said, “Now, you may enter our destination.”

In front of Han Te, the colorful mystic rays condensed into a virtual input interface.

He reached out subconsciously, only to hesitate.

“Why can’t I see what’s going on outside?”

He asked Jade, “Why didn’t you let me see the battle between Princess Summer and Black Jack?”

“That will do you no good.”

Jade said, “It will only annoy you with your boring emotions.”

“No. I want to see it!”

Han Te gritted his teeth. “Turn the cabin wall transparent again and let me see their battle!”

Jade was silent.

“If—if you don’t let me see Princess Summer, I will not enter the coordinates of the Pangu Universe.”

Han Te was determined. “If worse comes to worst, Black Jack will break through the cabin wall, and we will die together in this place!”

“…Alright, if you think it will make you feel better.”

Jade shrugged helplessly and snapped her fingers. The silver cabin wall turned transparent again.
