Chapter 2786: Chapter 2789: On War Array Masters

”Commander Jiang, how did you achieve such a level?”

Li Wuming spoke straightforwardly and then quickly added, ”Of course, if it involves any confidential matters, Commander Jiang can choose not to discuss them.”

”There’s nothing confidential about it.”

Jiang Chen waved his hand, his demeanor serious, and said, ”I’ve heard about General Li’s matters. To elevate his battle array mastery, General Li suppressed his realm for nearly thirty thousand years. If it weren’t for relying on the elixir, he would probably have become bones long ago. And the enhancement of battle array mastery is meant to better improve the army’s combat power. General Li’s great righteousness is something I deeply admire!”

He raised his hand in salute to Li Wuming, and Jiang Chen collected his thoughts, speaking softly, ”To me, a battle array is the condensation of an army’s will. It’s not necessarily about understanding formations to gather the formation spirit!”

Li Wuming was astonished at the first sentence, Mu Youlan was astonished, and Mu WenJun was astonished too!

What does that mean? If it truly is that way, wouldn’t anyone be able to become a War Array Master?!

”However, one needs to have some insight into the battle array. Without understanding a formation, purely perceiving a battle array might be even more challenging!”

Jiang Chen spoke again, directly quenching the thoughts that had just arisen in the three people!

”Commander Jiang’s words remind me of a senior. Once, there was a senior who did not have insight into the Spirit Array but indeed had insight into the battle array, and it should be the same principle!”

Li Wuming softly agreed.

”Is it really so?!”

Jiang Chen’s eyes lit up as he joyfully said, ”Seems like I wasn’t exploring in vain!”

”Exploring?”

Li Wuming was stunned: ”Your battle array mastery was all self-explored? No one ever taught you?”

”No, I comprehended the battle array in my hometown, where I was the only one who understood the battle array, so I could only explore it myself.”

Jiang Chen shook his head.

Li Wuming showed a look of disbelief in his eyes, self-exploring and understanding the battle array, this kind of insight...

Li Wuming felt somewhat ashamed!

”Based on my speculation and how things actually happened, I’ve summarized a few insights that General Li might find useful!”

Jiang Chen continued.

Li Wuming hurriedly focused intently and perked up his ears.

”To condense a battle array, first, you must control the army forming the battle array, integrate with the army, and make everyone in the army trust you!”

Jiang Chen pondered for a moment, then said softly, ”Take my Blood Wolf Legion, for example. When I first interacted with them, they were quite resistant to me.

After all, my strength was too low, but later, defeating Mu Pingchuan changed their perception of me a bit, and then warfare over this past month made them truly understand and accept me.

This is the basic condition for forming a battle array and gathering the formation spirit, the recognition of the soldiers!”

Li Wuming nodded gently, knowing this point as well.

”Perhaps General Li hasn’t quite grasped the meaning yet.”

Seeing Li Wuming’s reaction, Jiang Chen said with a light smile.

Li Wuming paused slightly, a trace of puzzlement in his eyes.

”Does General Li believe Hua Jiancong has received the recognition of the Ferocious Tiger Legion?”

Jiang Chen asked softly.

”Of course, otherwise, he couldn’t have gathered the formation spirit!”

Li Wuming looked at Jiang Chen somewhat puzzled and answered softly.

”Yes, he received recognition, but it was merely simple and initial recognition!”

Jiang Chen explained softly, ”Recognition is of two types, one is like his initial recognition, everyone acknowledges him not because of his character, but because he is a War Array Master, and the army was assigned to him to form a battle array, to form a breakthrough legion on the battlefield. Ferocious Tiger Legion soldiers recognize more the concept of the battle array, the entire Blood Fiend Army, the whole Ferocious Tiger Legion, and not Hua Jiancong himself.”

Li Wuming paused slightly, as if understanding something, and a trace of contemplation flashed in his eyes.

”And a true War Array Master requires a high degree of personal recognition from his soldiers, a heartfelt acknowledgment of him as a person!”

Jiang Chen continued, ”Only when all soldiers highly recognize the War Array Master, can the power be fully utilized, can the War Array Master better mobilize everyone’s strength. In other words, it’s about to make those soldiers reach the level where they willingly entrust their lives to the War Array Master!”

Li Wuming’s eyes lit up, nodding heavily.

”In this regard, the other commanders and generals actually do better than Hua Jiancong, it’s just a pity they can’t comprehend the battle array, otherwise, they would be extremely strong War Array Masters!”

Jiang Chen looked somewhat regrettably at Mu WenJun and Mu Youlan.

Mu WenJun and his daughter exchanged a glance, both showing a bitter smile.

They reached the standard to become War Array Masters but lack that talent!

”Additionally, the selflessness of the War Array Master is imperative!”

Jiang Chen’s expression became solemn, ”A War Array Master can be said to control the lives of all soldiers in the army, and a good War Array Master shouldn’t distribute all the harm when getting hurt like Hua Jiancong.”

”When Hua Jiancong was attacked, he chose to let many soldiers and himself endure the same degree of damage, even letting soldiers bear more damage than himself, which is incorrect!”

”Incorrect? Isn’t it supposed to protect the War Array Master?”

Mu Youlan asked puzzled.

”A War Array Master should indeed be protected, but as long as they’re not dead, or injured in the Primordial spirit or Great Dao Foundation, a War Array Master can utilize their full strength within the battle array, because a War Array Master is a bridge, condensing all soldiers’ power into the formation spirit.

The crucial requirement is using Primordial Spirit Power, and after gathering the formation spirit, the consumption of Primordial Spirit Power isn’t extensive.

Therefore, a War Array Master can completely endure more harm, allowing soldiers to bear less harm since soldiers are the source of battle array power, and the War Array Master is merely the conduit for gathering strength!”

Jiang Chen explained softly.

Li Wuming’s eyes lit up, nodding in agreement, ”That’s the rationale, a War Array Master actually merely consumes some Primordial Spirit Power during an attack, other powers aren’t being consumed, hence can absolutely endure more harm and motivate soldiers to unleash greater combat strength! Right?”

”Correct!”

”There’s one more point, which I believe is the most crucial.”

Jiang Chen’s gaze focused, his tone stern, ”The most vital for a War Array Master is alignment of heart and mind with soldiers, enabling soldiers to perceive all your thoughts, your fighting spirit, your bravery, your fearlessness. Only thus can soldiers better, more wholeheartedly leverage a hundred percent of their combat power, providing power for you!”

Li Wuming felt a jolt in his heart, a brilliant light flickering in his eyes.

”Seems like General Li understands, it’s truly about making the entire battle array a single person, a single will, a single thought so that the power of the battle array moves effortlessly!”

Jiang Chen concluded.

Sigh!

Li Wuming exhaled heavily, nodding repeatedly, speaking softly, ”Indeed, and when deploying the battle array’s attack, the War Array Master shouldn’t only think about who they want to attack, it requires everyone wanting to attack that target...”
