Venerated Venomous Consort

“It is hard to tell. I heard that the creator of the universe also took a boy as her disciple. His power should not be underestimated. He grew up with Wu Qianyan, so he could be here to raid the execution ground and rescue the condemned.”

“It is possible, but he has only been with the creator of the universe for five years. How strong can he possibly be? If he shows up alone, even our general can take care of him singlehandedly. We might not even be able to help.”

“Like what the king told us, no matter who shows up at the execution ground today to save Wu Qianyan, they should be found equally guilty, which is punishable by death. Our swords are equipped with the strongest kind poison, killing the person even with the slightest scratch. All of us only have to be careful not to injure our own men.”

“Also, the king warned us that Fan Qianshi is exceptionally cunning. He could show up today as an impersonation of the creator of the universe to fool us all. The king told us to have no concerns when we fight as the imposter cannot intimidate us with his fake power.”

The scandal set tongues wagging, so Gu Xijiu was able to collect a lot of information from the heated discussion. Smilingly, she listened to their conversations in total contempt.

Obviously, the person that the Monster King truly wanted to defeat was Gu Xijiu, the one and only creator of the universe. Wu Qianyan was only taken as bait.

The Monster King must have thought that it was a good chance for him to finish her off, now that her Kung Fu was not as strong as before. It was all but a trap, waiting for her to fall right into it.

If she rushed her way to the execution ground to save Wu Qianyan, the Monster King would brand her as an imposter. Perhaps he would even push her into a fight. If defeated, the Monster King would take the victory to build his own reputation, which would further reinforce his status as their leader.

If she won the fight, the Monster King could easily get away by making up an excuse. He could say that the fight was necessary to make sure that she was the genuine creator of the universe.

Surely, if she refused to show up, Wu Qianyan would be brought to death by dismemberment. Even the reason for her death was so legitimately made to fool the public.

The Monster King could exercise many options, regardless of the situation. It was indeed a well-thought plan.

Gu Xijiu took a look at the poison on the swords and could not help but jeer at these armed men. She was the creator of the universe, born with immunity against all poisons. These arrows would only cause an uncomfortable sensation on her skin without any actual harm.

She took a swift leap across the air, which caught the attention of the people nearby. These soldiers could tell that someone was there. Alerted, all of them flashed their weapons at the intruder, but there was no intruder in sight.

“Who is there?” One of the officers shouted out loud.

The only answer that they could hear was the sound of the wind whistling through the door, sending cold chills down their spine. Aghast, they looked at one another helplessly. “Did you see anyone?” The officer asked his men.

All of the armed men shook their heads.

“Could it be… Could it be the creator of the universe? She must be mad at us for taking away her servant.”

“It cannot be. If she is here, the one that she should be looking for is the king. Why would she come here to scare us?”

“Officer, should we report this to the king?”

After giving it much thought, the officer decided that it was a bad idea. “No need, perhaps it was only a mistake. If it is found to be a false report, death will await us.”

The Monster King was a ruthless man. The officer should not take the report to the king without a clear description of the intruder’s appearance and capabilities. That would only result in punishment for the officer.
