Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go

Chapter 700: Chapter 700: Trailing to the Hotel

”Which one?” Shao Chen frowned.

Tang Haolang shrugged: ”You’re so innocent, you don’t know which one it is?”

Shao Chen saw him with a mischievous smile, ”Not telling you.”

”Hmph! Definitely nothing!” Tang Haolang said as he noticed the water glass was empty, ”I’ll get you some water.”

While going to get water, he slipped a pill inside.

Recently, Shao Chen had been drinking tea, the pill wouldn’t taste obvious, and the color could be hidden.

After a few sips, Shao Chen said, ”Why does it taste strange?”

When he looked over at Tang Haolang, Tang Haolang quickly smiled, ”It’s to spice things up.”

Shao Chen, angry, picked up the files on the table and threw them at him, ”You’re really a lousy friend who scams your buddies!”

Tang Haolang dodged, ”It’s for your own happiness! Before getting married, couples should test their compatibility, both in life and emotionally. Only by living together and seeing if they align in bed can they decide about marriage.”

Shao Chen: ”Get out...”

After shouting, he added, ”Wait, give me the antidote!”

”There’s no antidote. It’s just a mild enhancer, won’t cause any harm to your body.” Tang Haolang immediately said, ”But you’ve been abstinent for so long, there’ll definitely be some reaction...”

He hadn’t finished speaking before he ran off.

Shao Chen sat in the chair, feeling not much reaction at the moment.

He planned to finish work quickly and go home to accompany Zhang Shishi.

She and Grandma had just moved over, and he didn’t want to neglect the pair.

Gradually, he felt something was wrong.

Because inside him, it felt like thousands of ants were crawling around, making his heart itch, always wanting to catch these bugs, yet unable to do so.

Unable to focus on work, he stood up to walk around.

But his whole body’s blood seemed to be accelerating, leaning against the floor-to-ceiling window, watching the city’s lights, his mind only on Zhang Shishi.

He went to the bathroom to wash his face with cold water, hoping to clear his mind.

When he returned, he saw Zhang Shishi rushing into the office.

”Shao Chen, are you okay?”

”Shi Shi, why are you here?” Shao Chen was surprised, ”Did something happen to Grandma?”

”No, Grandma is fine, she’s watching TV at home!” Zhang Shishi walked up to him, ”Doctor Tang called me, said you had some trouble at the company and asked me to check on you...”

”That bastard!” Shao Chen was nearly driven mad.

Does he really think the trouble isn’t big enough?

”I’m fine, go back and take care of Grandma, don’t leave her alone at home.” Shao Chen quickly said, ”Tang Haolang is talking nonsense, don’t believe him!”

Zhang Shishi gazed at him, noticing his unusually flushed face, and his whole body trying hard to control itself, ”Shao Chen, we’re friends, you should tell me if something’s wrong...”

”I’m fine. You go quickly!” Shao Chen wasn’t a despicable person, didn’t want their first reunion to be muddled like this.

Left without choice, Zhang Shishi had to leave.

She reached the company’s entrance, and saw Shao Chen coming out too.

Only, he walked very fast, and seemed to be searching for something.

Zhang Shishi hurried to follow him, saw him enter a hotel, and went in immediately too.
