Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go

Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Showing Off Her Husband

Upon hearing this, no one was more surprised than Gu Yao.

Mu Anhan was his biological mom, and she wouldn’t even say half a word for him when needed, let alone give him a glance, which she was very stingy about.

But at this moment, she publicly defended him and even praised his intelligence.

Gu Yu was initially very resistant to Mu Anhan, but now that she’s praising her brother’s awesomeness, fine! She won’t argue with this woman for now! Although she always likes to fight with her for their dad, that can be discussed later.

Mu Anhan’s assertive and direct defense of her son disrupted Ye Wennuan’s plan. She originally thought that Mu Anhan, this pretty face, was refusing to let her son attend class to irritate Gu Xiaozhan, so she intended to take advantage of it.

”Madam, a child with high intelligence and strong creativity needs a teacher to provide the best guidance. Throughout history, which famous person hasn’t achieved greatness through diligent study?” Ye Wennuan adjusted her approach slightly and started debating.

”Diligent study?” Mu Anhan sneered, ”Teacher Ye, are you mistaken? My son and daughter are inheriting my husband’s billions; why would they need diligent study?”

Zhu Chen, who quietly awaited on the side, noticed that the sharp-tongued and mean madam was still there, just that she no longer scolded Mr. Gu and the kids.

Ye Wennuan, educated as she was, found herself overwhelmed by Mu Anhan’s wealth-flaunting argument and had to look at Gu Xiaozhan for help with her eyes.

Gu Xiaozhan seemed oblivious, instead, he looked at Mu Anhan with great interest!

In the past, she scorned his power, but now she’s bragging about her husband!

”Madam, if Gu Yao studies well and inherits Mr. Gu’s billions in the future, he could contribute even more. Such a big picture must surely be something Gu Yao would be happy to see!” Ye Wennuan retorted, implying Mu Anhan lacked vision.

How could Mu Anhan not get it? She coldly responded, ”Teacher Ye, you keep saying it’s for the children’s good and offer so many courses; why do I suspect you’re hiding something?”

”Madam, I’m not!” Ye Wennuan was startled.

”Husband, I have friends who are child experts, and they say that learning like this is totally inappropriate for a three-year-old.” Mu Anhan turned her gaze to Gu Xiaozhan.

Since when did she have friends who are child experts? How come he didn’t know?

Seeing Gu Xiaozhan appear to believe Mu Anhan’s words, Ye Wennuan turned pale with fright: ”Mr. Gu, Madam, this might not be suitable for average kids, but Gu Yao is a prodigy. Prodigies learn quickly and have a particularly broad appeal.”

”Of course, I know my son is a genius, and he can become self-taught without anyone’s help.” Mu Anhan proudly raised her little chin, ”That’s something he perfectly inherited from my husband’s intelligence and ability.”

Ye Wennuan was left speechless.

What could she say? Claim that Gu Yao didn’t inherit Gu Xiaozhan’s intelligence? Or that Gu Yao wasn’t a self-taught genius?

This vase, who supposedly can’t do anything besides look pretty and stir trouble—Mu Anhan, how did she manage to be this formidable?

”Teacher Ye, don’t you agree?” Mu Anhan called her out.

”Madam, yes.” Ye Wennuan put on a very respectful attitude in front of Gu Xiaozhan.

The more arrogant and domineering Mu Anhan’s attitude became in suppressing Ye Wennuan, the greater Ye Wennuan’s opportunity to gain Gu Xiaozhan’s sympathy, making this high-up man feel sorry for her.

”Husband, if Yao Yao and Yu Er, these two kids, want to study, let them study; if they don’t want to, let them play!” Mu Anhan wrapped her arms around the man’s neck from behind the sofa.

Gu Yu used to be very annoyed with her for snatching their dad all the time, but now she’s actually letting her not study in front of dad.

Oh yeah, there’s nothing sweeter than not having to study.

Yeah, let dad agree first.

Afterward, Gu Yu would warn her not to snatch her dad and not to act coquettishly with her dad.
