Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go

Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Status Through Motherhood

People all say that Mu Anhan is the first beauty of Country A. Though she is indeed beautiful, she is beautiful without a soul, merely an empty vase.

They say she is the luckiest, marrying the man all women desire—Gu Xiaozhan, yet she doesn’t know how to cherish him.

They say she was born fortunate, getting pregnant with twins after just one encounter, securing her position as Mrs. Gu through her children, yet she neglects them completely.

Over the past year, Ye Wennuan has been teaching the two children and giving them the gentlest motherly love, all in an attempt to replace Mrs. Gu.

She graduated from a prestigious school, a top student, many times more capable compared to Mu Anhan who didn’t even graduate from college.

If she were Mrs. Gu, she would only become Gu Xiaozhan’s right-hand woman, unlike Mu Anhan who only brings trouble to Mr. Gu all day long.

In her past life, Mu Anhan had never spared a glance at Ye Wennuan. Now, staring at her with her light makeup and decent temperament, she thought that any woman who dared to covet her husband would all be eliminated by her!

”The kids are playing with me!” Mu Anhan replied coldly.

”I need to take Gu Yao to class.” Ye Wennuan appeared gentle, but her demeanor was quite forceful.

Mu Anhan turned to look at her son, ”He’s very focused on playing right now. Why does he need to go to class?”

Ye Wennuan softly explained, ”It’s research in child psychology. There’s no child in this world who doesn’t love to play, but Mr. Gu has high demands for Gu Yao. He must learn Chinese, mathematics, English, history, geography, biology, philosophy every day...”

Mu Anhan’s eyebrows furrowed, ”Shouldn’t a three-year-old child play carefreely? Why attend so many classes?”

”That’s Mr. Gu’s intention, hoping Gu Yao’s abilities will be outstanding in the future. Mr. Gu hopes Gu Yao will surpass the old generation,” Ye Wennuan said, somewhat proudly. The child was naturally smart, and teaching him was effortless for her, but being his teacher meant getting significant attention from Gu Xiaozhan.

Regarding the education of the children, Mu Anhan indeed never got involved, nor did she know how Gu Xiaozhan was planning it.

But there was one thing that made Mu Anhan quite displeased; although he was her own son, Ye Wennuan spoke as if she were his real mother.

”I respect the child’s wishes. If he wants to go to class, he can go; if he doesn’t want to, then he doesn’t have to.” After saying this, Mu Anhan asked Gu Yao’s opinion.

Gu Yao was deeply engrossed in the Magic Box, breaking through it level by level, completely fascinated, with no interest in going to class.

”I’m not going.” He just said three words.

However, those three words already changed Ye Wennuan’s expression.

She had been teaching the child for over a year, and though Gu Yao often daydreamed in class, his homework was always full marks and he never resisted going to class.

Mu Anhan’s interference had driven Gu Yao to skip class.

”Madam, if Mr. Gu finds out, it might not be good!” Ye Wennuan pressured Mu Anhan.

Mu Anhan snorted coldly, ”Don’t use Gu Xiaozhan to pressure me. Bring the homework Yao Yao needs to do. He’ll submit it to you on time.”

Ye Wennuan: ”...Yes, madam!”

She turned and went downstairs, back to the classroom. Seeing her brother not coming to class, Gu Yu also decided not to join.

Taking advantage of the situation, Ye Wennuan immediately called Gu Xiaozhan, her voice sounding so aggrieved it seemed she was about to cry, ”Mr. Gu, I’m sorry, the two children only want to play, they don’t want to attend class...”

”What’s going on?” Gu Xiaozhan’s voice was tinged with an icy coldness.

”Mr. Gu, please don’t be angry. It’s the madam who gave the toys to the children...” Ye Wennuan said anxiously, ”Perhaps mothers around the world all spoil their children, lacking senses when it comes to demands, blindly agreeing to everything... They just don’t realize it will ruin the children’s future!”

Ye Wennuan’s words, while seemingly praising Mu Anhan for wanting to give the children motherly love, were actually belittling her for having too small of a vision and not knowing how to raise children properly!
