”Um…” Truth be told, Qin Chu wasn’t surprised, but he was shocked.

He was originally looking forward to coming home to his wife, but who the hell did he just see upon opening their bedroom door?

This person did not look like Huo Mian at all…

She was wearing a black-and-red robe that had pointy collars.

A lot of foundation was smothered onto her face, and her lips were painted bright red. Most importantly, she had on two giant fangs on either side of her mouth and was wearing... purple contact lenses?

She wore a silver wig over her shoulder-length hair that fell to her waist, and a black crown was pinned onto the top of her head. She was the ultimate description of a villain.

When Qin Chu walked into the manor just now, he was shocked by how scary the entire place was. It was dark everywhere – even the candlesticks looked scary…

Huo Mian sure put a lot of effort into this party…

”Honey… are you dressed up as Count Dracula?” Qin Chu was speechless.

It was a little childish for a woman her age to be dressed up as a vampire. She didn’t look scary, but she sure looked cute.

”Nope, you’re Count Dracula, I’m the Countess, okay?” Huo Mian said matter-of-factly.

”Okay… so you prepared something like this for me as well?” Qin Chu walked up to her and smiled.

”Yeah… if you’re not happy with it, you can think of something else to dress up as. I like vampires, so I want to dress up as one.”

No matter what Qin Chu wanted, Huo Mian was determined to be a vampire.

”Okay then, I’ll… cooperate with you.” Qin Chu loved his wife too much to say ’no’ to her.

Therefore, he quickly put on makeup and the outfit. Once he was done, Huo Mian looked at her husband in awe.

He was also wearing a black robe, purple contact lenses, white fangs, and a silver wig. Unlike her, however, Qin Chu’s expression was a little cold and arrogant…

Huo Mian was surprised by how good looking Mr. Qin was after he dressed up as Count Dracula.

”I’ll give you a 9 out of 10 for this get-up, but I deducted 1 point so you won’t get too arrogant.” Huo Mian gave him a thumbs-up.

Their outfits matched so perfectly that anyone could tell that they were a couple.

”My beautiful Vampire Countess, please head downstairs with me. Our guests are arriving,”

Qin Chu reached out to her in invitation…

Huo Mian smiled as she placed her hand in Qin Chu’s, and the two of them walked downstairs together.

Uncle Li and the housemaids were all dressed in black robes and were wearing cute vampire fangs to go with the party theme…

It was almost time, and Jiang Xiaowei and Zhu Lingling mentioned in WeChat that they were almost there. Just as Huo Mian was about to call, a black Jaguar stopped in front of the parking lot outside their manor.

The moment Gao Ran and Zhu Lingling got off the car, Huo Mian was truly dumbstruck by what she saw.

It turned out Zhu Lingling wasn’t joking about her costume. Yes, she didn’t dress up as White Bone Spirit, but she really did dress up as Snow White’s evil stepmother, looking exactly like Angelina Jolie in Maleficent.

Not only was she wearing a black robe, but she also had two black antlers coming out of her head, leaving Huo Mian at a loss for words.

The good thing was, Lingling was good looking, so the jaw-dropping costume looked good on her.

”Ahem… you’re the most beautiful evil stepmother, haha.” Huo Mian couldn’t help but laugh.

”So, what the hell are you here as?” Qin Chu asked Gao Ran.

Huo Mian glanced towards Gao Ran as well; he was wearing a black robe and an interesting gold mask that looked like a mirror.

”Can’t you guys tell? I matched with Poisonous-tongue Ling.” Gao Ran was a little speechless.

”So, you’re the king, the husband of the evil stepmother?” Huo Mian guessed.
