My Youth Began With Him

“Little Sister Mian, are you actually calling me?”

Huo Siqian’s tone had hints of surprise…

After all, over these years, no matter what happened, Huo Mian had never voluntarily looked for Huo Siqian.

Even when Zhixin was in that car accident, she still held back on contacting him… she really didn’t like him, and they both knew that.

Huo Mian didn’t say anything…

“Mian, you’ve got something to say, right?”

“Yes.”

“Just tell me what’s up.” Huo Siqian got up from his bed and rubbed his eyes.

“You know plenty of people, could you introduce some A-list stars to me? I only need one.”

“You want to help GK to get people on board?”

“Yes.”

“But… I heard that GK doesn’t need anyone, didn’t Annie Liang sign with you guys already? Plus… didn’t GK poach a lot of people from Imperial Star?” Huo Siqian actually knew of these things.

“Something came up, and they won’t be able to make it. The red carpet event is in less than two hours, and it’s very urgent, so… can you help me?”

“So… Little Sister Mian, are you asking me for a favor?”

Huo Siqian smiled, as he was quite pleased with himself. He held his phone in one hand and a glass of water with the other, sipping on it as he spoke.

“Yes, I’m asking you for a favor.”

“But… why should I help you?”

Of course, Huo Siqian wasn’t so easy to negotiate with…

“I won’t make you help for nothing, I could pay you, however much you want.” This was the first time Huo Mian threw money at people, something that was more of Su Yu’s MO.

“Money… haha, Mian, my little sister, why are you so cute? Don’t be foolish… do I look like someone who’s short on money? The Huo Family hasn’t bankrupted yet, right?”

“Then what do you want, just tell me.”

“Hm… can you really satisfy anything I want?”

“As long as it’s within my abilities and doesn’t challenge my moral and ethical bottom line,” Huo Mian added.

“That’s a given. I like you too much, how could I trouble you?” smiled Huo Siqian.

“So… you’ve agreed to help me?” Huo Mian asked nervously.

She was actually a bit afraid and not very confident…

If Huo Siqian refused as well, then she would really be out of options…

However, she really didn’t want GK Film and Television to become a laughing stock in everyone’s eyes.

She would never beg Su Yu, because they were opponents. If she did, then both she and Qin Chu would be humiliated.

“No problem, I’m sure you asked me because you knew I would help you, so what are you struggling about? It seems like you are always full of little ideas… That dumb Huo Yanyan will never be like you, no matter how hard she tries.”

“Can we not talk about useless things at a time like this. I hear that you’re quite close with the recent winner of the best actress award, Mo Xue’er, and she hasn’t signed with a new company yet. Can you ask her to come?” Huo Mian did some research before calling.

The winner of the best actress award, Mo Xue’er, was someone more famous than Annie Liang, because she had an international presence and rarely shot domestic films now.

Most of her works were Hollywood productions. Even though she was only a supporting actress, her international influence was already very high.

Apparently, Mo Xue’er was very close with Huo Siqian, as the media exposed them several times and even reported that they were getting married.

However, no one knew why or how things ended…

Many tabloids claimed that Mo Xue’er was the woman Huo Siqian loved the most, and if Huo Zhenghai didn’t actively oppose a daughter-in-law that worked in the entertainment industry, then they might’ve already gotten married. However, neither of them ever released any statements, so no one knew what was really going on.

“You little girl… you sure did your research.”

“Yes or no, just tell me.” Huo Mian was a bit impatient.

“Of course it’s a ‘yes’. I promise that Xue’er will arrive at GK and sign the contract within an hour.” Huo Siqian was confident.

“That would be great.” Huo Mian was overwhelmed with joy.

“But I have one condition.”

“What is it?” Huo Mian quietly listened on the other end.

If Huo Siqian came up with some inappropriate request, then she definitely wouldn’t agree, even if she could no longer sign Mo Xue’er.
