My Youth Began With Him

“Why are you mentioning him for no reason?”

“Because I feel like you treat him differently…”

“Stop talking nonsense… I treat everyone the same… except you.”

“Don’t change the subject… I’m serious… Do you think people like Qin Chu are more handsome?”

“Ah… he is indeed handsome.”

“What about Gao Ran, Xing Yan, Qi Hong, and the others… Include them and compare again.”

“You’re so lame…”

“Are you going to compare them?”

“Gao Ran is handsome… I think he’s the most handsome.”

“Why?” Zhu Lingling was surprised to hear Huo Mian’s answer.

“I just think he’s handsome… Even though he doesn’t usually look like a decent guy, he’s handsome…”

“D*mn… don’t tell me you’ve fallen for that pervert?”

“Forget it… I’m still young… don’t lead the underage astray, Zhu Lingling.”

The two of them giggled as they ate the sour spicy noodles and pies. Then, for the sake of digesting the food—

They went to the school’s badminton hall for a while.

Zhu Lingling didn’t forget to look at the basketball court when she came out.

Huo Mian also remembered what Qin Chu had told her.

“Lingling, you weren’t interested in the captain anyway… Let’s stay away from him from now on… He’s involved with all the people outside the school, we shouldn’t get involved.”

“Yeah.”

Zhu Lingling understood what Huo Mian meant and nodded.

Zhu Lingling wanted to see if the kid from Class Eight was there.

Was he playing basketball with Qin Chu?

Surprisingly, none of them showed up during the weekend. They probably went wild somewhere else.

“Mian… let’s go watch a movie tomorrow…”

“Forget it, I’m not interested in movies.”

“There’s no need to spend money. My dad has a lot of free vouchers… I heard that a blockbuster has been released. It’s very good. Something about a Hollywood production… called Resident Zombies.”

“Resident Evil?” Huo Mian corrected her.

“Yes, yes, Resident Evil… Eh? How did you know?”

“A lot of places are advertising that movie…” Huo Mian said guiltily.

“Oh… I thought you watched it…”

“No,” Huo Mian immediately denied.

If Lingling found out that she watched a movie with Qin Chu, ate barbecue, and even walked home with him…

She wouldn’t know how she would explode. And with her big mouth, she might accidentally spread it all around.

“Then let’s watch it tomorrow.”

“No, I don’t like horror movies,” Huo Mian refused again.

“How boring. Hmph… I’ll find a guy to go with me.”

The two of them chatted as they walked. When they reached the bus stop, they separated and went home.

Perhaps it was because there were too many people on Saturday, Huo Mian stood there and waited for 20 minutes, but the bus didn’t come.

She was so anxious that she walked to the next bus stop but it still did not come.

Then, she heard the people around her discussing softly. It seemed like there was a traffic accident somewhere.

A lot of cars were stuck there.

Huo Mian sighed… She wanted to flip through her change to see if she had enough money to take a taxi.

A black Audi A8 slowly stopped in front of her.

Someone opened the car door and Huo Mian saw a familiar face.

“Get in.”

“Huh?” Huo Mian froze for a second, still hesitating.

“It’s going to rain soon, get in the car,” Qin Chu said.

Huo Mian slowly walked over and sat in the back seat next to Qin Chu.

“Why are you here?” Huo Mian asked in a low voice.

“I just got back from work and happened to pass by… There was an accident on Tianqiao Road. The bus you usually take crashed with a white private car… I don’t think it’s going to be settled anytime soon… It’ll take you a long time to continue waiting.”

“Oh… I see… Thank you.”

“Young Master… where are we going now?” the driver asked Qin Chu.

Huo Mian thought that he would say Eastern Jiujiang since he knew her address.

“To the hotel,” Qin Chu said, and Huo Mian looked at him in surprise.
