My Youth Began With Him

Su Yu looked drunk and the others didn’t know if he was serious or just joking.

Anyway, they enjoyed their dinner.

On their way back, An drove the car while Su Yu lounged on the passenger seat; he rested with closed eyes and didn’t speak. But An knew his boss wasn’t asleep.

When they got home, Su Yu took off his coat and lay on the sofa.

“President Su, do you want me to bring you a glass of warm water?”

Su Yu waved his hand…

“I know you’re not drunk,” An added.

“Yeah. You know me.”

“Of course. I’ve worked for you for many years.” An grinned.

“Maybe we can live together.”

“Pu… No. I don’t like men,” An refused without hesitation.

With a chuckle, Su Yu sat up and leaned on the arm of the sofa; looking at An, he said, “What are you thinking about? I meant we live as companions. Look at your ugly face; how can I choose you?”

An: “…”

With things on his mind, Su Yu couldn’t sleep. He took out his cellphone to browse the news, Weibo, and Moments.

On Wechat Moments, Pudding and Little Bean each posted an update.

Today they bought new dresses which were pretty golden evening dresses.

Little Bean was not skillful with selfies, so her face looked big, but her chubby face still looked cute.

Pudding was good at choosing angles for selfies and with the effects of a photo editing app, she looked like a super beauty.

Su Yu liked them both but didn’t leave any comments.

It was half past eleven in the night and suddenly Han Yueyao posted an update.

It said, “The truth is that not every girl loves money. Some kind-hearted girls love animals. For example, I like Land Rovers (Road Tiger in Chinese translation), BMWs (Treasure Horse in Chinese translation), Jaguars, Hummers (Strong Horse in Chinese translation) and Bugatti Veyrons (Bugatti Dragon in Chinese translation), etc.”

Su Yu chuckled, amused by the words even though it was an old joke.

On a whim, he left a comment below her update, “If you get first place in the dance show, I’ll give you one of the animals in your list as a gift.”

Seeing this comment, Han Yueyao was extremely excited. She replied immediately, “President Su, are you serious?”

Su Yu: “Of course. When have I gone back on my words?”

Han Yueyao: “Good, good, good. Then I want a Bugatti Veyron.”

Su Yu: “Your taste is unique.”

Han Yueyao: “No, no, no. I chose it because it’s the most expensive. Hahaha.”

Su Yu: “Fine, you win.”

Han Yueyao: “If I win, you’ll truly buy it for me?”

She asked again to make certain that he was serious.

Su Yu: “Of course. But if you get eliminated this week, you’ll work for me without pay for one year.”

Han Yueyao: “…”

“Damn it. You revealed your true colors of a capitalist…”

“Did you think I’d let you have the car for free? Good luck, little money lover.”

Su Yu joked with her lightly and didn’t take to heart An’s report that she had intended to kiss him.

“President Su, are you hungry? I’ll treat you to a night meal.” Han Yueyao was too excited to sleep. In fact, she wasn’t hungry; she just wanted to see Su Yu.

“I’ll go if you invite me to Ocean Royal Court,” Su Yu replied.

“President Su, you’re heartless. As a big boss, how can you treat a small employee like me in this way? How can I afford a meal in Ocean Royal Court?”

“Then go to sleep and stop talking.”

Su Yu had no interest to say more to her. He tossed the cellphone to one side and sighed lightly.

“President Su, something’s on your mind?” An knew his boss wasn’t himself today.

“An, what gift shall I prepare for our Dr. Huo’s wedding?” Su Yu finally said in a low voice. He sounded melancholic.

“Huh? Will Dr. Huo have a wedding?” An was surprised because he hadn’t heard a word about it.
