My Youth Began With Him

She hadn’t paid much attention to the kids, especially Pudding. The girl was very mature for her age and didn’t need Huo Mian to do anything for her.

The kids had their grandma and housemaids to take care of their daily needs; they had a chauffeur and a team of bodyguards to escort them to school; they had private tutors to help them with any difficulty in their studies.

So, Huo Mian had focused all her attention on work and didn’t spare much thoughts to Pudding.

When she heard Pudding made so much money on the stock market, she just couldn’t believe it.

Qin Chu was calm because he had taught his daughter how to speculate on shares even though she was talented in this area.

As for the hacking skills, she had learnt a little from Lu Yan. Of course, it was only a little; if she had learnt all the skills, she’d be invincible.

Of course, we must admit Pudding was highly gifted.

“Mom, don’t worry that you lost your job. The money that Daddy and my sister make is more than we can spend for the rest of our lives,” Little Bean said cheerfully.

Huo Mian: “…”

“Daddy, you know why I have nothing to do each day, right? There are too many geniuses in our family, so I can have fun each day until the end of my life.”

Little Bean lifted her face at Qin Chu brazenly.

“So you found an excuse to live a good-for-nothing life?” Pudding slanted a cool glance at Little Bean’s chubby face.

“No, no, no. Your auras are too strong and completely overshadow me. So, I’m willing to be an insignificant grass… I leave all the fame and honor to you guys. Daddy is the youngest, handsomest, and most excellent CEO in Asia; Mom is the youngest hospital director in the country; my sister is the greatest figure in the stock market…”

“There’s a hole in your flattery; Mom was fired,” Pudding said.

“Ahem… You guys go on with your chat. I’ll go to the kitchen and see if there’s milk left.”

Hearing that she was fired, Huo Mian still felt bad. It was good to stay at home and enjoy good food and leisure time, but she was a bit lost after years of busy life in the hospital.

The most important thing was that Huo Mian felt it was unfair to fire her.

She didn’t kidnap Zeng Rou and knew nothing about how she went missing.

Her husband had later told her that Zeng Rou wasn’t in Yan’s hands.

But Secretary Zeng still took it out on her and even Director Wu who was about to retire.

Being fired without giving a reason, their reputations were totally ruined.

Fortunately, Huo Mian had made many friends among her colleagues at South Side. After she left, many previous colleagues and subordinates often comforted her and asked after her on the phone or WeChat.

Qin Chu followed her into the kitchen and poured a glass of warm milk for her.

“Honey, has Pudding really made so much money?”

“Yeah.”

“She can’t go on like this… She focuses her attention on speculation of stocks instead of her studies.” Huo Mian still felt doubtful.

“What’s the purpose of studying? People study so they can have the ability to make money, right?” Qin Chu chuckled.

“Um… You’re right.”

“Don’t worry. Pudding likes speculating in the stock market. You didn’t see how enthusiastic she is about it. On the morning after the scandal about the Shen Shen and Wei Families came out, she had bought lots of shares under the two families. Sure enough, they’ve hit many limit ups now. She has talent for it. I’m sure she’ll do well in it.”

“Fine. You’re all geniuses.”

“Not at all. In our family, Dr. Huo is the only genius.” Qin Chu smiled tenderly.

“No, no, no. Your Dr. Huo became dumb after her pregnancy; her IQ has lowered to zero.”

“Okay. No kidding. Do you want to go to the company with me today?”

“No, I want to go and see Yao first.”
