My Youth Began With Him

Hearing his explanation, Han Yueyao agreed.

“Fine.”

She took out her cellphone and let the internet celebrity scan her QR code, letting the two add each other’s contact information.

Han Yueyao changed her avatar into a big white bunny with big front teeth; it was super cute.

Her partner’s avatar was a fox.

It was like the pair of fox and rabbit in Zootopia.

“See you around.”

Saying goodbye to her partner, she walked out of the live show room and left in a car.

The participant that was eliminated in the first round was a popular female star. The reason was that she didn’t have any dancing skills; she had just learnt some pole dance from a nightclub.

Wearing a black mask, she danced the Night Cat; people who didn’t know dancing might think she was sexy and seductive, but the judges were experts and weren’t fooled. They eliminated her without hesitation, making her furious.

Her fans made a big fuss about it, saying the new performer from Imperial Star advanced unfairly while the excellent performance and hard work of their princess and goddess was ignored.

But people were used to these antics. These controversial topics would gain more attention from the audience, which was what the organizers of the show wanted.

Han Yueyao came out and sent WeChat messages to Huo Mian and Su Yu, “Got to the next round… I’ll work harder.”

She put a sticker of victory at the end of the message, keeping the messages simple and short.

Su Xiaoxiao had been good to her, so she sent a message to her, too. “Xiaoxiao, I advanced to the next round. Haha, what a stroke of luck.”

“I saw it. I’m happy for you.”

Han Yueyao wasn’t used to Su Xiaoxiao’s formal tone.

“You sound so formal; it’s not your style… Wait for me when your class is over, and I’ll treat you to spicy hot pot. Haha.”

“Okay.”

Su Xiaoxiao agreed immediately. The next show was in next week, and Han Yueyao was supposed to rehearse with the internet celebrity. But the guy was busy, so Han Yueyao returned to the company with her agent and assistant.

“Yao, you did well today. Keep it up. After we return, I’ll have the dance teacher give you a new dance,” said the agent.

“Okay.”

Han Yueyao sighed in relief and fell asleep on the ride back.

Seeing her drooling face in sleep, her agent and assistant were amused and took a snapshot of her; after some touch-up, they added a line on it, “I feel I got a sleeping curse.”

Then the agent remembered that the company had created a Weibo account for Han Yueyao specifically for this reality show.

Wanting to take advantage of her rise in popularity, the agent got the password for this Weibo account from the public relations department and posted the photo of Han Yueyao’s drooling face in sleep.

Instantly, thousands of comments flooded the screen, which was a lot for a new performer.

“Wow. She looks so cute even in sleep.”

“Scheming bitch. Our goddess got eliminated because of you. I hate your guts. It’s obviously a staged photo.”

“It doesn’t look staged. I want to pinch her chubby cheek.”

Han Yueyao woke up from her nap in the car and felt as if the world had exploded.

“Yao, look, it’s only been a few hours and the number of your fans has reached 50,000.” The agent showed her the Weibo account cheerfully.
