My Youth Began With Him

“I know… Boss really likes Miss Huo.” Ah-Cheng nodded.

“It’s not as simple as ‘like’… It is a love that already seeped into my bones and heart. Do you believe it?”

“I do.”

“I’ve always felt like if Mian were by my side, then I would certainly not have met with so much pain and hardship. After all, Qin Chu is too soft-hearted. When it comes to all those people that have hurt Mian, he can’t bring himself to punish them, so the wicked still lurk around. I feel like he’s not really in love with Mian. It’s more that he wants to protect his good-guy image. It’s the same with Su Yu… everyone says that he loves Mian and wants what is best for her, but he keeps hovering around her and has no intention of marrying her. To a certain extent, Mian has added quite the amount of mental burden and grief… Those guys don’t really love her. They just love themselves more. They all want to be good guys. Naturally, I have to be the bad guy. That’s how it’s played out in all those TV dramas. If there is a good guy, then there has to be a villain. I don’t mind being a nasty villain, as long as I can finally get Mian in the end. Everything I’ve done over all these years will be worth it.”

Huo Siqian rarely confided in his subordinates like this.

But if one thought about it carefully, In the past few years, he had no real friends. If he didn’t share some of his thoughts with his subordinates, then who would he talk to?

Qin Chu had Gao Ran and also Rick.

Su Yu had Wei Liao and Tang Chuan.

Even Jing Zhixin and Ni Yang had their own small groups of trusted friends.

There was only Huo Siqian, who was with a woman he didn’t love and whose pursuit wasn’t money.

For the past few years, his only obsession was Huo Mian.

However, when it came to Huo Mian, he was already at his wit’s end. After so many years, he had tried every way possible method, but to no avail.

He was unable to catch her and keep her at his side.

The last time, he originally thought that he had come up with the perfect plan.

By killing Song Yishi, not only could he get rid of that conniving bitch, but he could also blame Qin Chu, killing two birds with one stone.

But who would’ve guessed, halfway through comes the righteous Su Yu who disregarded what everyone else thinks and insisted on taking the pregnant Huo Mian into the Su household?

All the way up until the birth of the twins…

After many years of planning and making a wedding dress for her, only Huo Siqian knew how bitter he felt.

Whenever Huo Mian was in danger, he became more nervous than anyone.

The last time Ian came here, he saw Huo Mian alone.

Huo Siqian was really ready to rip off his mask and go against Ian on the spot just to protect Huo Mian.

It was a pity that Mian had always been disdainful of him.

She would barely even look at him.

Nowadays, Huo Mian would stand directly beside Qin Chu, and the two of them would fight him together.

“Boss, Miss Huo will understand in the end. She will understand your intentions,” Ah-Cheng advised.

“My Mian… she has already decided to kill me, I know.” Huo Siqian smiled faintly.

“Miss Huo wouldn’t want to kill you. After all, she used to be family… I think she just wants to stand by her husband’s side, so…”

“Anyway, it doesn’t matter, I don’t blame her. She’s the only person in this world that I can forgive, no matter how much she hurts me.”

Ah-Cheng listened in silence. His gaze even contained a bit of confusion.

He had never liked a person like that, so he couldn’t understand how his boss could almost go insane over a woman.

“Ah-Cheng.”

“Yes, Boss.”

“How are the wedding preparations coming along?”

“Everything is ready, it’s just Miss Yan… she doesn’t seem to be in a good mood,” Ah-Cheng replied cautiously.
