Online Game: My Health Point Has No Limits

Li Yi left the Sacred Emperor Palace and headed to his mission location. The time limit for the main mission was relatively generous. As the first player to enter the city, coupled with his memories from his previous life, there were many things that could be done in the Emperor City.

There were many level 10 NPCs that could receive hidden and important missions.

As he walked to the location based on his memory, he soon encountered an old man. The old man’s clothes were tattered and his eyes were closed. His hair was piled up on his head like a nest of grass, and he leaned against a wall. The closer one would go to him, the more one could smell the stench of alcohol.

The odd thing was that there was no indication showing that the man was an NPC. It was as if he was an NPC that had been wrongly designed.

Li Yi walked forward and asked, “Hello the old sir. How can I help you?”

The old man acted as if he had not heard Li Yi. The old man did not even move his eyebrows, let alone move his body. It was as if he was too drunk to be conscious.

Li Yi nodded. He was right. He stood still and did not say anything. He repeated what he just said every five minutes.

…

“Hello there old sir. How can I help you?”

After Li Yi repeated it for the third time, the old man slowly raised his head and opened his drowsy eyes.

“If you give me 1 gold coin to drink, I’ll give you my most prized treasure. I swear on the highest dignity of a warrior that I never lie.”

After the old man said this, his name appeared on the top of his head. With a tap, one could see the background of the NPC story.

[NPC Barber]

[Background Story: The young man who liked to wander around found a treasure in a certain place with a warrior named Waxel. Because of that, the two of them fought fiercely, and Waxel was defeated. Barber, on the other hand, had lost all his strength from the fight. His strength was the source of his pride. He was so sad that he could only numb himself with alcohol every day.]

“It really is him. I really ran into him!!”

Li Yi nodded to himself. This NPC would appear in many cities. Every time he appeared, he would look sloppy. At the start of the game, many players were very curious whenever they encountered him. The NPC actually did not have a name. None of them wondered if there could be an important mission.

Many quickly went forward to accept the mission, but the NPC simply ignored them. Even if they pushed the NPC, the NPC would be unfazed.

As time passed, no one cared about him anymore. It was not until a girl, who could not bear it any longer, annoyed him so much that he responded. Even if the old man ignored her after, he still gave his attention to her for more than ten minutes.

From what Li Yi knew, Barber slowly woke up from the ruse. He opened his mouth and asked the girl for one gold coin to drink. At that time, the price of gold coins was not very expensive. In addition, the girl was very kind. She just happened to have one gold coin in her backpack, so she did not think too much and directly gave it to him.

Barber took the gold coin and exchanged it with an item. It was precisely this item that made a big fortune for the girl.

After many players understood, their eyes turned red with envy. They beat their feet and stomped around as they huffed chests.

This was because many players had seen this person before. When they saw him, they would at most ask a few questions. However, the old man ignored them and went on with his day.

Just like that, countless players brushed past the potential wealth. How could they not go crazy knowing what the girl had obtained!

After that, the players scrambled to look for this old man everywhere. The gold coins demanded by the old man gradually increased to 100.

The players still gritted their teeth and gave it to him. However, they only received a piece of junk. It was not worth a single cent, and they lost a lot of money!

However, there were still many players who did not give up. They thought that this was just an accident.

However, when the players went through the second, third, and nth transactions, they realized that there were very few people who could make money. Most of them only earned a few gold coins. The most they earned was not more than 10 gold coins from the items he gave!

In the end, many players stopped paying attention to this old man anymore.

…

“Okay!”

Li Yi took out a gold coin and handed it over.

Barber accepted the 1 gold coin with a smile. He took out a large box from his bosom and searched for something in it.

Li Yi watched from the side with a strange expression. Barber’s bosom was like an infinite space. Li Yi thought that it was odd that such an old man had directly taken out a box that was even bigger than a person. If the old man was not an NPC, would people consider him as a player?

Barber rummaged around the box for a while and took out a book.

“I’ll give this to you. There’s no use for me to keep it.”

Li Yi looked at the black book. It looked like it was made of pig iron. This was a good item.

The black book represented that it was a truly rare item in God’s Revelation. It meant that it was impossible for one to find a second book like this.

“Alright, goodbye then, I’m going to drink!”

Barber chuckled and quickly put the box back into his pocket. He patted the dust off his body and walked away. His figure soon disappeared from Li Yi’s sight.

Li Yi’s attention was completely focused on the black skill book. It was indeed a fortune to receive a book like this

[Item: Holy Healing (Skill Book)]

[Usage Requirement: Healer]

[Effect: Adds a layer of status to oneself or a party member, removing all negative statuses. No matter how much damage one receives, one will not die. Maintains 1% HP for 8 seconds! Has a 300 second cooldown time. Consumes 150 MP. Skill can not be upgraded.]

[Additional Note: A Unique Book!]

Li Yi looked at the skill book and was extremely shocked. In the past, he only knew that this girl had struck it rich, but he did not know what it was that made her rich!

This skill seemed to be one of the signature skills of the number one Priest in his previous life. He was shocked that he managed to obtain such a skill into the palm of his hands for just one gold coin!

Li Yi put the item into his backpack. This unique skill book was priceless. This skill book could be given to Snow Chaser. However, even with this skill book, it still lacked something. Li Yi knew that the previous Priest did not only rely on this skill book. That Priest’s talent was a top-tier SS-grade talent that no one else could ever achieve.

It was very important to utilize the bonuses that came with specific classes in Divine Revelation. Regardless of whether the talent was top-tier or not, it was best to utilize one’s talent to determine their future development. Otherwise, it would be very difficult to improve oneself.

However, everything was not absolute. There were also many powerful players — whose talent was not that good — that stood at the peak.

“I should carry on with my missions first! If I meet that kind girl in the future, I should try and compensate her!”

Li Yi spoke before he headed to other places.

More than half an hour later.

Li Yi had accepted many missions, totaling up to six missions. The main reason he did not find more was that he still had other important missions to do. The prerequisite for receiving some missions was through having class specialty points.

“After completing these missions, the experience from killing monsters would be good. However, the best thing is still the skill book that I just obtained. No matter how many missions there are, nothing can be compared to it.”

Li Yi nodded his head in satisfaction. He no longer needed to stay in the city. He had already planned out his desired route.

The first step would be to go to Iron Bear Ridge.
