Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1518: A Quiet Request, A Grand Response ( 1518 )

Javier stood up slowly, slipping both hands into his pockets as he turned away from the boxes. His expression was unreadable, his eyes distant as he began walking toward the manor in silence, his footsteps quiet against the stone path.

Liana, who had just finished arranging the last of the table settings, glanced up and noticed his retreating figure. She tilted her head, her brow furrowing slightly.

Hmm? I wonder where Young Master is going?

She finished arranging the last of the table settings and made her way toward the boxes. She glanced inside and noticed the contents were slightly messy now, no longer as neat as she had left them. She let out a soft exhale, shaking her head with a fond smile.

He must have been looking through my things...

Her eyes landed on the swimsuit, the one she had carefully tucked away.

Ah... the one I bought so I can wear it for him when we have our special moment at night. I thought it would surprise him, make him more... interested. I wanted to see that look in his eyes when he sees me in it.

Her blush deepened slightly as she thought about it.

How did this get mixed up with everything else?

She picked it up and waved her hand gracefully. A shimmering portal opened beside her, and she placed the swimsuit carefully inside her dimensional storage.

Mou! I wanted to wear it to surprise him. I’ve noticed his sketchbook always has those swimwear designs. He’s been drawing them for months now, different styles, different colors. I thought if I wore something like this, he would be happy.

She closed the storage and let out a soft sigh, her cheeks faintly flushed.

I just hope he didn’t see it. It was supposed to be a surprise.

”Geeeeeee....”

Liana startled, her body jolting slightly as she turned her head and noticed Mimi standing right beside her, her eyes narrowed and fixed on her with intense curiosity.

”W... what?”

Without warning, Mimi reached out and grabbed both of Liana’s breasts, squeezing them with her small hands. Her tail swayed lazily behind her, a slow, rhythmic motion that betrayed her excitement as she glanced up at Liana with wide, curious eyes.

”Nya~ What’s with the sexy underwear, Big Sis~?”

”W... wh... what underwear!? I... I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Liana stammered, averting her eyes as she tried to step back, but Mimi held her ground, her gaze turning suspicious.

”Nya~ Not fair!” Mimi puffed her cheek, her tail flicking with protest. ”Big Sis already has big boobs, already Husband’s favorite, already can do everything, nya! And now Big Sis wants to hog all of Husband’s attention too! Not fair! Not fair at all!”

”I’m not!” Liana hissed, grabbing both of Mimi’s hands and prying them off her chest, her voice dropping into a low, flustered whisper. ”I’m not hogging anything!”

”Nya? Really?” Mimi’s tail swayed slowly, a suspicious rhythm, her eyes narrowing further. ”Then show me the sexy underwear, nya~”

Liana gave Mimi a serious, icy glare, her voice dropping into a calm, dangerous tone.

”There is no sexy underwear. And you should focus on the grill.”

She raised her palm, a faint glow flickering at her fingertips.

”Someone is going to be punished if she keeps insisting.”

”Nya! I don’t care if I’m being punished! Show me the sexy underwear!” Mimi puffed her cheek and stomped her feet, her narrowed eyes fixed on Liana in a stubborn glare.

Liana let out a weary exhale, her shoulders slumping slightly.

”It’s just a piece of clothing, Mimi. Nothing special. I’m sure you have one too.”

”Nya? Really?” Mimi glanced up, placing one finger on her lip as she mumbled thoughtfully. ”Mimi has...?”

”Yes. Now go check on the grill.” Liana pointed toward Buddy, who was standing nearby, eyeing the meat with barely concealed hunger. ”If no one watches the grill, Buddy will eat everything.”

Buddy turned his head sharply, letting out an indignant squawk.

”Cuquawked? Cuquawked!” (What? I’m just standing here!)

Meanwhile.

Inside Garius’s Private Study.

Garius leaned back in his chair, his posture relaxed but commanding as he glanced at Javier, who stood rigid before his desk, his hands clasped behind his back.

”So... you want to take a few days off? A vacation? And you’re asking for permission to use the private island?”

”Yes, Esteemed Father.”

Garius smirked, turning his chair slightly before facing Javier fully again. He rested his elbow on the armrest, his chin on his knuckles as he studied his youngest son with quiet amusement.

”Why do you need permission for something like that? You’ve never asked for it before. The island is for the family. As long as you fulfill your duties and handle the upcoming matter with Lord Zurakan properly, I see no issue with you taking some time to rest.”

Javier’s eyes widened slightly before he nodded, his voice respectful and measured.

”Thank you, Father. I simply wished to inform you of my intentions and ensure there would be no conflicts with any upcoming responsibilities. I did not want to leave without your knowledge.”

Garius chuckled softly, a warm, knowing sound. ”Since you brought up the topic of a vacation... and I realize I have never taken one myself...”

He glanced at Alf, who stood beside him, his expression calm and attentive.

”Alf. Prepare everything. Inform all my wives, the entire family. We are going to relax and enjoy a moment of peace and tranquility before the busy schedule ahead. It is time we all earned ourselves a little respite.”

”As you command, Your Majesty.” Alf smirked, bowing gracefully before stepping back.

”Eh?” Javier’s eyes widened, his mouth slightly agape.

Garius smirked, rising from his chair and stretching his arms. ”What? If you can take a vacation, why not the entire family?”

He walked past Javier, who stood frozen in surprise, and paused at the door, glancing over his shoulder with a knowing smile.

”We’ve all earned a little time for ourselves. A moment of peace before the storm. Let’s enjoy it while we can.”

He left the office, followed by Alf and Erinette. The door closed softly behind them.

Ah...

Javier stood alone in the silent room, the weight of his father’s words settling over him. He let out a long, slow exhale, a faint smile touching his lips as he shook his head.

I didn’t expect it to turn into a full family vacation. I just wanted to take Liana somewhere quiet. But I guess this is how Father is. He always finds a way to turn even the smallest thing into something bigger.

Though... I can’t say I’m surprised. He’s been working nonstop for years, same as Mother and everyone else. They deserve a break too.

He let out a low chuckle, slipping his hands into his pockets as he turned toward the door.

Well... as long as everyone is happy. I’m sure Mother will be thrilled. She’s always wanted the whole family to spend time together, away from the estate, away from the politics.

Maybe this is exactly what we all need.

He paused at the door, his hand resting on the handle. A soft, warm smile spread across his face.

Well... I guess I should go tell the girls. I’m sure they’ll be excited. Too excited, perhaps~

And Liana...

She’ll finally get to wear that swimsuit.

The one she tucked away, hoping for a day like this to come.
