Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1473: Safe Routes and Teasing Views ( 1473 )

Javier smiled, his eyes fixed on the screen as Liana picked up her mana phone and began walking, keeping the camera focused on her. The hallway behind her was elegant, lined with soft mana lights and beautiful paintings.

Buddy peeked his head over Javier’s shoulder, his beak appearing in the frame as he let out a squawk.

”Cuquawked~” (Yo, Elf Witch~)

Liana just smiled, giving a side glare toward the camera before Javier quickly hushed his pekko. ”Oi! Don’t say that to my beautiful elf!”

”Cuquawked!?” (What? She already knows I call her that!)

Buddy smirked on his beak, wiggling his eyebrows at the camera while Liana simply shook her head, a soft, amused smile on her lips.

Javier tilted his head, his voice curious. ”Where are you going?”

Liana paused in the hallway, glancing at the camera with a gentle smile. ”I’m heading to the second main dining room to have breakfast with everyone, including Athine and the others.”

”Oh...”

Liana’s smile softened. ”After that, I have an important mission given by Lady Mother.”

Javier’s eyes widened. ”M... mission? L... Liana! Don’t tell me you’re going on a dangerous mission! Ugh! I’m calling Mother right now!”

Liana let out a soft, melodic chuckle, shaking her head gently. ”No, I won’t. It’s nothing like that. More like... Lady Mother has asked me to fetch Gracelle back to the Armand estate.”

”Phew~” Javier exhaled, his palm pressed against the center of his chest before he gave Liana a relieved glance at the camera. ”Really? You’re not going to some dangerous place for a dangerous mission? You’re telling me the truth? Hmm?”

Liana chuckled again, raising her knuckles to her lips before shaking her head and continuing to walk. ”No~ I never lie to you, remember? Not even once~”

”Ah... right.” Javier smiled, his eyes softening as he watched her through the screen. He tilted his head, curiosity creeping into his voice. ”Why are you taking Gracelle back?”

Liana gave him a teasing smile, her eyes glinting with playful knowing. ”What? Are you not satisfied from last night~?”

Javier’s cheeks flushed slightly, his eyes darting away from the camera.

Liana’s smile widened as she continued. ”Poor Gracelle. She’s not in her best condition yet, and ’someone’ already spent all night ravishing her~ Perhaps she even fainted after a while... am I right, Young Master~?”

Javier rubbed the back of his head, averting his eyes completely before quickly changing the subject. ”S... so... you’re coming here with Pekko? I thought Pikko was still nesting?”

Liana smiled, shaking her head gently. ”No. Lady Mother has already arranged an escort, and I’m going there with a mana helicopter. It’s already waiting in the front courtyard~”

Javier smiled, his expression softening. ”So, where is everyone?”

Liana gave him a teasing look, her eyes sparkling. ”What do you mean, ’everyone,’ Young Master~? The whole family? Or your girls?”

Javier started walking again, one hand in his pocket while the other held the phone, his gaze fixed on the camera. Buddy puffed his chest out and began strutting beside him, letting out casual, happy low squawks.

”Cuquawked~ Cuquawked~”

Javier chuckled softly. ”My girls, of course. Including you.”

Liana shook her head, a gentle smile on her lips. ”I believe Gloria is already at the dining room, and Felicia as well. Delya, last I saw, was still choosing which chocolate pieces should go into her chocolate jar. And don’t get me started with Mimi. She was still half asleep when I woke her up~”

Javier chuckled softly before his face turned calm. He stopped walking, his voice steady and serious.

”If you’re really coming here to bring Gracelle back to the estate, make sure you’re wearing the bracelet, the necklace, and the ring I gave you. Also, don’t forget to wear the special maid dress I made for you.”

Liana smiled, her eyes warm. ”I know, Young Master.” She turned the camera toward her maid dress, showing off the elegant design. ”This is the maid dress you crafted specially for me~ For your... particular interest~”

Javier smiled, but his eyes quickly turned serious. ”I’ll set up a safe route for you.”

He tapped his mana watch, and a simple holographic screen flickered to life above his wrist. His fingers moved with practiced precision, tapping through menus as he murmured under his breath. ”Deploying transport drones... dispatching the strongest puppet knight squads to key positions along the route... setting anti-air mana guns, mana missiles, and mana cannons on full alert... and another special knight squad patrolling the interest areas.”

Liana’s eyes softened, a gentle smile spreading across her face. She shook her head, her voice tender. ”You don’t need to do all that, Young Master. Lady Mother has already chosen a specialized Armand squad to escort me. And we’re using the mana helicopter for transport. It’s safe.”

”No.” Javier’s voice was firm, his gaze unwavering. ”I’m not taking any risk. Not with you. Not after everything. I’d rather go overboard than regret being careless.”

He paused, his voice dropping slightly, carrying a weight of old memories.

”I won’t let history repeat itself twice.”

Liana stopped walking, leaning her back against the nearest wall before smiling softly, her gaze fixed on the camera.

”Thank you... Young Master.”

”Mm~” Javier chuckled softly after finishing his setup, his smile warm as he glanced at her through the phone. ”Liana?”

”Yes, Young Master?”

Javier wiggled his eyebrows, a cheeky grin spreading across his face as he lowered his voice to a playful whisper. ”Show me that~”

Liana tilted her head, her expression innocent but her eyes glinting with amusement. ”Hmm? Show you what, Young Master~?”

Javier pursed his lips, pointing subtly toward her chest. ”That~.”

”Ara~ Someone is naughty this morning~” Liana’s smile curled, her voice dropping into a silky tease. ”Still not satisfied with your six wives last night? Hmm?”

”Aw~ come on. That’s my lucky charm, you know~”

Liana shook her head, a soft, amused smile on her lips. She glanced around the hallway, ensuring no one was nearby, before using her finger to slowly pull the neckline of her maid dress down just a little, revealing a teasing glimpse of her cleavage.

”There~ Happy~?”

”Ooo... damn.” Javier’s eyes widened, his grin turning shameless. ”I wish I could bury my face between them~”

”Naughty Young Master~” Liana smiled, narrowing her eyes as she adjusted her dress back into place. She leaned closer to the camera, her voice dropping to a hushed, promising whisper, each word laced with sweet anticipation. ”Perhaps... when I arrive, you might just get your wish~ Soon, Young Master~”
