Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1369: Starlight and Promises ( 1369 )

Armand Nation.

The Same Night.

Inside Garius’s Bedroom.

Garius stood by the open window, both hands clasped behind his back, his gaze fixed on the vast, star-filled sky. The silver moonlight bathed his figure in a soft glow, casting long shadows across the room.

A soft, sweet voice called from behind him.

“Dear~”

He glanced over his shoulder, a gentle smile spreading across his face as Fransesca peeked from the side, her sweet smile lighting up her features.

She moved gracefully, wrapping her arms around him from the side, her cheek pressing against his chest as she gazed up at him.

“What are you thinking about, dear~?”

“Hmm? Nothing… just enjoying the sight of the beautiful sky.”

“Really~?” Fransesca smiled, snuggling closer against him. “If you really want to see a beautiful sky, why don’t we go somewhere where we can see the real open sky and have a little private date~? After all, it’s my turn today, right~?”

Garius’s smile softened, his eyes warm as he looked down at her.

“If you wish it, honey.”

He snapped his fingers, and in an instant, the world around them shifted. They reappeared on the highest peak of the mountain behind the Armand Estate. Below, the kingdom lay like a sea of twinkling lights, while the mountain’s peak offered a serene view of the world.

The night sky was breathtaking. Thousands of stars glittered like scattered diamonds across a velvet canvas, their light reflected in a shimmering silver river that arched across. The moon hung low and full, its glow casting a soft, ethereal light over the rolling peaks below. A gentle breeze carried the scent of wildflowers and fresh pine.

Fransesca’s eyes sparkled as she took in the view, a soft, contented sigh escaping her lips.

“Now this… is a beautiful sky.”

Garius wrapped his arms around her from behind, his hands gently cupping her breasts as he nuzzled her neck, making her giggle softly.

“True…” he whispered, his voice low and warm.

Fransesca turned her head slightly, glancing at him with a playful smile before lifting a finger to gently tap his nose.

“Naughty~”

Garius grinned, wiggling his eyebrows. “You’re my wife. There’s nothing wrong with being a little naughty with my own wife.”

Fransesca smiled, turning back to face the sky as she relaxed into his embrace, letting him hold her however he pleased. Her voice softened as she gazed at the stars.

“Dear?”

“Hmm? Yes, honey?”

“Do you think our youngest son knows?”

Garius smirked, meeting her eyes as she turned to look at him with a sweet, knowing smile.

“You know how our youngest son is. He always pretends to be lazy, to act like he doesn’t care about anything. But he’s no fool. I’m sure he already knows.”

Fransesca’s smile widened, her eyes softening with maternal pride.

“True… that’s my honey bun~ I’m sure by now, he already knows the truth, right? The First Hero of the World~”

Garius chuckled softly, whispering into her ear.

“Yes, my beautiful goddess~”

Fransesca gently removed Garius’s hands from her waist, stepping forward three paces before turning to face him. Her smile was sweet, warm, and full of playful expectation.

“Dear~”

Garius exhaled, a knowing smile tugging at his lips. “Again?”

Fransesca puffed her cheeks, pursing her lips into a pout before narrowing her eyes and stomping her foot lightly.

“You promised me, remember? Every year, for a little while.”

Garius chuckled, his eyes softening. “But we’ve been doing this for over twenty years already.”

Fransesca raised a single finger, her voice firm yet playful. “No. A promise is a promise.”

Garius smiled, his expression tender. “Fine… if you still want to do that.”

He raised one palm upward, and his body began to glow with a brilliant, golden-white light. The radiance enveloped him, shimmering like liquid sunlight, before solidifying into a magnificent, divine white armor. Sleek, regal design fit for a true king, with intricate patterns etched in light, a flowing cape of shimmering starlight, and a golden white glowing crown resting upon his brow.

Fransesca smiled, clasping her hands in front of her dress. Her body began to glow with a soft, radiant light, and from her back, magnificent wings unfurled, pure, luminous light, glowing white with faint traces of seven divine colors shimmering within. A delicate tiara materialized on her head, her hair shifting to a beautiful, golden-white radiance.

She floated gently, just a breath above the ground, her face glowing with an ethereal beauty that transcended mortal understanding.

Garius smiled, his steps slow and deliberate as he walked toward her. Fransesca extended one hand, her fingers glowing with a soft, divine light. He reached out, taking her hand gently before pulling her into his embrace.

She cupped his face with both hands, her thumbs brushing lightly over his cheeks as she gazed up at him with a tender, loving smile.

“Do you remember, dear? A certain someone once wished to marry a goddess after he finished his task and saved the world from the first great danger.”

Garius smiled, his voice warm and soft.

“I remember. I was just a humble human back then, orphaned, lost, carrying a burden I never asked for. I never imagined that the woman who guided me, who stood by me through every battle and every trial, was a goddess. And I never dreamed she would say yes to a foolish human like me.”

Fransesca tapped his nose with a teasing smile, her eyes sparkling with playful warmth.

“You’re lucky, you know. The Upper Realm chose you as the First Hero of this world. I couldn’t have married just any human, you know. Only a true chosen hero, one who holds the title and bears the blessing of the world itself, could ever win a goddess’s heart.”

Garius smiled, his voice thick with emotion.

“Thank you, Fransesca… for being my wife. For accepting me for who I was, a lost, broken boy carrying the weight of the world. For bearing our three children, Marcellus, Cedric, and Javier, who now grow stronger every day. For giving me a family I never thought I deserved.”

Fransesca pretended to pout, turning her head away with a playful huff.

“Well, it’s not like I had a choice. It was a granted wish, after all.”

But her voice softened as she turned back, her eyes meeting his.

“…And because I fell deeply in love with you.”

Garius pulled her close, his lips meeting hers in a slow, tender kiss. The world around them seemed to pause, the stars above glowing brighter, the moonlight wrapping them in a silvery embrace. The kiss was gentle at first, then deepened, carrying the weight of decades of love, devotion, and unspoken promises.

They both pulled away from the kiss, their eyes shifting toward the distant horizon as a faint, familiar pulse of energy rippled through the air.

Fransesca smiled softly, her voice gentle. “Do you feel that, dear?”

“Mm… I know.” Garius’s gaze remained fixed on the distance, a proud smile spreading across his lips.

“It seems our eldest son, our second son, and our youngest… have finally reached their peak of their divine potential.”

Fransesca’s smile widened, her voice filled with maternal pride and affection.

“Mm~ Especially… our honey bun~”
