Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1052: Not Just a Necklace ( 1052 )

”Kayra.”

Javier called, both hands clasped behind his back, his posture straight and his expression serious, the playful prince gone, replaced by the crown’s representative.

”Yes, Your Highness...” Kayra bowed gracefully, while her daughter hugged her thigh. Cliff and the other escorts followed with respectful bows of their own.

”We’ll be traveling in this.” Javier gestured toward the massive drone. ”My time is valuable, and Tybalt doesn’t have time to waste. Every hour we delay is another hour Garka and Turka advance.”

”As you wish, Your Highness.” Kayra said with another bow.

”Mm. Now tell your men to climb up and fasten their seatbelts. We’re leaving.” Javier turned and climbed up the GAASAD’s ramp without looking back.

Kayra followed, helping her daughter up the ramp, and her eyes widened as she stepped inside.

Princess Felicia and Princess Mimi of the Beastkin Nation... and Princess Delya of the Demon Nation... are with him?

All were seated comfortably beside Prince Javier’s other companions.

Not only does he have that beautiful elf serving him... and another stunning human maid... but three foreign princesses as well?

Her mind raced.

How in the world?

Then she noticed the way Felicia leaned slightly toward Javier as he took his seat, the way Delya’s smile softened contentedly near him. The way the elf maid, Liana, smiled at him with familiar warmth, and the human-looking maid adjusted his collar with practiced ease.

They’re... with him. Are they...this prince..future wife?

The realization settled heavily. Armand wasn’t just a technologically advanced nation. It was a place where elves, beastkin, demons, and humans coexisted under one banner, led by a great leader such as Garius De Armand.

”Take a seat here, Lady Kayra.” Liana gestured gracefully toward an empty row. ”Your daughter can sit with you. The harness works like this.”

Kayra nodded silently, helping her daughter into the seat as Cliff and the others filed in behind them, their eyes wide with the same stunned awe.

Javier snapped his fingers the moment the transport drone lifted up and began flying toward Tybalt.

He reached into his dimensional storage and called out, ”Kayra?”

”Yes, Your Highness?” Kayra nodded.

Javier handed a small, smooth crystal to Liana, who moved gracefully toward Kayra and placed it in her palm.

”This is only to be used if something urgent comes up. Press this button when you need it.” Javier explained without looking at her.

”Umm... may I ask... what is this?” Kayra asked, examining the smooth, palm-sized crystal with a single glowing rune on its surface.

”It’s an emergency beacon. This is an item that will notify me when you press that button after channeling a bit of your mana into it.” Javier said casually.

”Pardon me, Your Highness... but what is this for?” Kayra asked again softly.

”Hmm... let’s just say I have a hunch that this negotiation won’t be accepted by your husband. If that happens, I won’t be able to assist your region in any official capacity.”

He paused, his gaze shifting briefly toward Kayra’s daughter, who was watching with wide, curious eyes.

”But your daughter... Athine already seems fond of her. And I don’t turn my back on those my family cares for. So if anything happens that requires my help, just press it.”

Javier smiled faintly, his tone dropping to something quieter, more personal.

”I will say this clearly: If you press that button, I will come for you and your daughter. Perhaps for your sons, if you name them. But I will not intervene for your husband, nor for Tybalt as a region. This is a personal line, not a diplomatic one. Use it only when there is no other choice.”

”I don’t think there’s a need for this, Your Highness. I will make sure my husband agrees to it.” Kayra tried to hand the crystal back toward Liana, who accepted it and passed it to Javier.

Javier shook his head with a gentle smile and reached into his dimensional storage again. This time, he pulled out a delicate crystal necklace, the same emergency beacon, but crafted into a beautiful pendant that shimmered with soft, protective magic. He gestured for Kayra’s daughter to come closer.

Liana helped the girl unbuckle her harness, and she looked at her mother with pleading eyes.

”Ah... don’t worry, little girl~ Remember the beautiful sister from before?” Javier smiled warmly at her.

”Ah! The beautiful sister! Yes! I remember her! She was so nice. She gave me sweets, chocolate candy, and so many things. She showed me the playground, and I had so much fun playing with her!”

”Good. Now, that beautiful sister wanted me to give you this beautiful necklace. She meant to give it to you herself, but since we had to leave in a hurry, she asked me to give it to you~” Javier held out the necklace, its crystal catching the light.

”Really!? From the beautiful big sister? Mom! Can I?”

Kayra nodded and smiled softly. ”If she’s giving it to you, then yes, you may take it, dear~”

”Yeay!” The girl’s eyes lit up with delight as Liana helped fasten the necklace around her neck. It settled against her chest, glowing faintly with a gentle, reassuring warmth. ”If we have a chance again, can we visit the beautiful sister again, Mother?”

”Yes, dear... if we have the chance.”

Liana helped the girl back into her seat, fastened the harness, and smiled, gently caressing her head. Kayra’s daughter was already excitedly admiring the beautiful necklace. ”Yeay! The big beautiful sister is a very nice person. I got a beautiful necklace! I want to show it to my brother!”

Kayra smiled while caressing her daughter’s hair.

Liana moved and sat next to Javier, leaning in to whisper.

”Young master?”

”Hmm? Yes, Liana?” Javier whispered back.

”Isn’t that...”

”Mm... no need to tell them. This is the first time I’ve seen Athine so fond of a child... and when I saw how she smiled with her...” Javier’s voice softened, thoughtful.

”Athine rarely warms to anyone outside our family, not even most of the staff. She’s always been quiet, reserved... especially around strangers. But with this little one, she was different. She laughed, played, shared sweets....”

He glanced back at the girl, who was still beaming at her necklace.

”If Athine cares for her, then she’s already family in her heart. And what’s important to my sister is important to me.”
