Reborn As Noble

Chapter 553: Force of One ( 553 )

Javier stood proudly, his voice amplified by magic, ringing clear and commanding across the battlefield.

“I gave you all one last warning.”

The wind tugged at his cloak, catching the reflection of his oni mask as it shimmered in the sunlight.

“If you care for your own lives—retreat.”

His gaze swept over the vast sea of halfling troops—banners fluttering, commanders smirking confidently from the front lines.

“Surrender the towns you’ve conquered in the dwarven kingdom… to me.”

Silence fell over the battlefield, tense and heavy.

Javier raised his hand.

The puppet knights behind him moved in eerie perfect unison—a single step forward.

The ground rumbled beneath them.

“And you will be spared.”

Another step.

Javier pointed his sword forward.

“But if you don’t…”

His voice dropped, dark and thunderous.

“Then may God be kind to you.”

Because I won’t.

The halfling commander threw his head back and laughed loudly, arms wide as if reveling in his own bravado.

“Oi, boy!” he shouted across the field through his crude magic speaker, his voice echoing with arrogance.

“Let me give you some advice—go run back home, sleep with yo mama first, suck her tits! Then we talk about war!! AHAHAHA!!”

Roars of mocking laughter erupted from the halfling ranks.

“Pfft—he brought dolls to a war!”

“Did he just threaten us with… nothing!!?”

“Maybe he’s lost! Should we send him directions back to his nursery?!”

Some soldiers even began dancing mockingly, beating their weapons against their shields in rude jest, fuelled by their scorn.

But Javier said nothing.

He just smiled behind his oni mask.

CRACK!!

A pulse of invisible force shattered the air, distorting reality like heatwaves shimmering in the desert sun.

“W-What…!?”

The halfling army froze in terror as the ground suddenly sank beneath them.

“Gugh…!!”

“W-Why can’t I… stand…!?”

Their bodies were pressed down with relentless force—armor clanking, weapons slipping from their grasp, some falling flat on their faces.

Behind the walls, the dwarves gasped, stunned by the oppressive magic overwhelming the battlefield.

“H-Hey! Why are we being—!?”

“W-We’re not the enemy!!”

The dwarven leader looked up in awe, recognition dawning.

“This… this magic is different…”

On the field, Javier finally spoke again.

His tone had shifted—no longer playful, no teasing, only cold, unyielding fury.

“I don’t mind if you mock me.”

His words rang out sharply, commanding and deadly.

“I don’t care if you call me names… insult my title… or even question my strength.”

The wind stilled entirely, the very air hanging in frozen silence.

But then, Javier’s eyes, glowing ominously behind his oni mask, burned with unnatural intensity.

“You brought my beautiful, hot mother into this.”

“And now… you’ve signed your death sentence.”

All of them—the halfling soldiers, their commanders, even their beasts—were pinned utterly flat to the ground.

The very air thickened, like the world itself had conspired to press down on their backs, suffocating and relentless.

Weapons were out of reach, their shields slipping from trembling hands, as every eye widened in terror.

They struggled to breathe beneath the crushing gravity, helpless before the might of Javier’s magic.

Above them, atop his majestic Pekko mount, Javier’s voice cut through the oppressive silence, cold and merciless.

“So…” he repeated, voice icy with contempt.

“Which one of you idiots said, ‘suck you mama tits’?”

Silence. Only the sound of trembling and labored breathing.

“Hmm? Who’s going to run home and sleep with their mother?”

He leaned forward slightly, his gaze piercing.

Buddy let out a low, proud cuquawk, as if mocking them.

“No?” Javier’s tone dipped, dangerously calm but deadly.

The halfling commander’s face was pale, eyes bloodshot, struggling to lift even his chin.

Javier slowly raised his hand.

“I gave you all a chance. A chance to value your lives. To walk away. To live.”

“And yet…”

He clenched his fist, the magical pressure escalating.

The ground cracked beneath halfling armor; weapons bent and shuddered under the oppressive force.

“…you mocked the Armand name. You mocked my family.”

His eyes glowed fiercely behind the oni mask.

“Now you’ll pay the price.”

Javier gazed down at the army that once mocked him, now flattened like bugs beneath his relentless gravity spell.

He tilted his head casually, a cruel smile creeping behind his oni mask.

“So…” he drawled, voice calm and commanding, echoing across the silent battlefield.

“Where’s the guy who said you had 120,000 troops?”

His eyes swept over the broken, crushed soldiers—silent witnesses to his power.

“Hmm? Can’t seem to find him.”

He leaned slightly forward on Buddy’s back, grinning beneath the ominous mask.

“Did they all get pinned to the ground?”

Buddy let out a smug squawked, as if joining in the sarcasm, his feathers ruffling with pride.

“Oh? By who, I wonder?” His smirk widened, as if savoring the moment.

“Which army? Which man? Where is he?”

“Hey~ how about you tell me?” Javier’s voice rang out, mocking but laced with deadly intent.

“Anyone?” he spread his arms slightly, a taunting gesture.

“No? No volunteers?”

He chuckled darkly.

“Next time…” Javier’s tone turned low, ominous and threatening.

“…remember this: never insult a man’s mother.”

Javier slowly raised a single hand, fingers snapping sharply.

The air trembled violently, a deep low boom echoing across the mountains like distant thunder. The already pinned halfling soldiers screamed in terror as the pressure intensified, veins bulging from their necks.

“Hmm…” Javier leaned forward slightly on Buddy’s saddle, a casual yet sinister expression on his face.

“So, 120,000 troops…” he said calmly, voice heavy with mockery.

“…and you’re all flattened by a basic spell. Triple gravity. Nothing advanced, nothing special. Just a warm-up.”

He give a sarcastic shrug, dismissing their despair.

“Come on… 120,000, right? Is this all you’ve got?”

He looked around theatrically, feigning disappointment.

“Can’t move? Oh?”

He tapped his helmet mockingly.

“By who, I wonder? Hmm?”

He pointed at a struggling halfling knight.

“Lift your sword. Come on, now.”

The knight grimaced, trying desperately to even breathe, let alone move.

“No?” Javier’s tone sharpened to ice.

“Then here’s the deal.”

He pointed forward, his voice cold and commanding.

“If you can’t stand…”

His mana pulsed, ominous and oppressive.

“…my knights will walk through this field.”

Behind him, dozens of glowing magic circles shimmered, pulsating with ominous energy.

“And they will slowly…”

The white glow intensified, bathing the battlefield in unnatural light.

“…behead every last one of you.”

He slowly raised one finger.

“One…”

The puppet knights, clad in shining mithril armor, with glowing eyes and polished weapons, began stepping forward in unison—an unstoppable, deadly force.

“By…”

The halfling commander’s eyes widened in horror, realizing the full extent of Javier’s power.

“One.”
