A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1269: Chapter 1270: Gold Bug Mother (Lanxi Grand Alliance)

”Awake, awake!”

The Flame Demon was extremely obedient; compared to the long, boring life in the Ironblood Prison Trial Ground, it had forgotten the danger brought by higher-level beings outside.

At this moment, with the appearance of this unknown powerful life form, the Flame Demon’s long-buried memories were once again awakened.

Glug, glug, glug.

The bubbling, boiling red magma gradually calmed down. The Flame Demon took out some high-grade Fire Crystal Stones and respectfully placed them in front of Green.

”Great being, this is my offering in submission to you; please, you must accept it.”

Green naturally collected these offerings; over the years in the Dimensional Esophagus, he had become accustomed to offerings from beings who submitted to him.

”Tell me, where nearby is there a large Mother Nest? I mean a truly large Mother Nest, one you wouldn’t dare provoke.”

With a pained expression, the Flame Demon watched Green put these Fire Crystal Stones into the Dimensional Gap and asked in a low voice.

”Are you joking? How could there be anything I wouldn’t dare provoke here, unless it’s not tasty enough? In this Ironblood Prison Trial Ground, the great Utmuzi goes anywhere he wants...”

The Flame Demon suddenly froze mid-boast, sensing Green’s gradually unpleasant expression, and hurriedly pointed in two directions: ”I remember on a Cloud Piercing Giant Tree over there, a Flamingo King was chased away by a Gold Bug Mother. A hundred years ago, that Flamingo King tried to take this volcano from me and was chased away by me too. And over there, I heard a group of Tricksters sealed a very powerful Gold Bug Mother—I don’t know if it’s true.”

After Green responded with an ”Mm,” he disappeared before the Flame Demon had time to react.

...

The entire Ironblood Cage was filled with slaughter; Ironblood Warriors continuously gathered the heads or life cores of various prey as their glory; the slaughter inside this Ironblood Cage was a rite of passage for Ironblood Warriors.

Green seemed like a ghost, moving among the many scenes of slaughter, heading towards the direction the Flame Demon had pointed.

”Oh, is this the Cloud Piercing Tree?”

The roots were surrounded by black swamp, stretching endlessly, with traces of numerous life activities.

This giant tree, nearly a hundred meters in diameter, had a straight and towering trunk that soared into the sky, merging into the cloud layers above, casting a large shadow below.

Beneath the Face of Truth, Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes zoomed in and saw a hanging insect ball on the branches above the clouds, resembling a bat in hibernation. The insect ball was dense and black, formed by countless insect swarms.

Green’s insight pierced through the surface of the insect ball, focusing on its center where an energy spectrum presented a lively region of will, colored faintly red.

”Oh? Is that the Gold Bug Mother? It’s indeed much stronger than the will-assembled life form by the Black Ink Bug Mother last night.”

Ignoring the massacre in the vast swamps involving Ironblood Warriors, Tricksters, and various indigenous creatures, in Green’s eyes, they were merely crickets competing—not worth mentioning.

Like a shadow, Green silently floated towards the giant insect ball over a hundred meters wide.

Although Green’s Robe of Appearances had limited invisibility effect on Ironblood Warriors, it still exerted an extremely strong concealing effect on most Tricksters and nest-related beings.

”Interested in cooperation?”

With a buzzing sound, Green’s sudden communication of will shook the entire insect ball, evidently scaring the insect mother at its center. In response, the swarm adopted a bat-like formation, flapping wings frantically in mid-air, looking towards Green.

”Who are you?”

Green approached quietly, watching closely but detecting no presence, as if he were a trivial insect.

Logically, this nearly impossible, extremely eerie.

”You may call me Oblivion Sorcerer. I bring the most sincere will from another world cluster with the hope of collaborating with the Mother Nest’s will. I will help you escape this Ironblood Cage, and you need to assist me in finding the way back to Wizard World. We shall sign a Destiny Contract.”

”You have a way to leave this Ironblood Cage?”

The insect mother’s will from the swarm was incredulous yet hopeful.

”Yes, but first, you must prove you can contact your Blade Empress and ensure you help me find the way home.”

Green intently watched the insect swarm, speaking deeply.

”Alright! Follow me, I’ll take you to meet another great being. Once we return to the Mother Nest World Cluster, he definitely has a way to get you in touch with Shaja Blade Mother Bug, a renowned great insect mother within the whole insect world cluster.”

Saying this, the bat-spawned swarm unfolded wings and flew away from the Cloud Piercing Tree; Green followed after some thought.

...

The pitch-black underground space was filled with the rustling sound of swarming insects.

”Sereneph Lacca, do you claim this weak creature holds a method to escape the Ironblood Cage?”

One moment it’s galloping horses, the next it’s cobras with flicking tongues. In Green’s perception, this will-assembled insect swarm approached Level Five, its surface covered in a milky-white halo, a capability inherited from higher-order beings through bloodline—a rather high-level application of psychic energy.

”Yes, but it has conditions. A Destiny Contract must be signed, hoping you can take him to meet Blade Empress to commission her help in finding the way back to Wizard World.”

”Oh? Wizard World?”

Seeming very interested, the ever-changing insect mother said: ”Sorcerer, explain your method to escape this Ironblood Cage.”

Moments later, the insect mother stabilized in the cobra form, evidently convinced by Green’s method.

”A method to enslave other creatures spiritually? Wizard World? How intriguing! I’m very interested in you and your Wizard World.”

The insect mother spoke, Green humbly replied: ”I imagine Wizard World is also interested in everything here.”

”However! I have a few more conditions.”

With flicking tongue, the insect mother said naturally: ”Since you represent Wizard’s will, intending to rely on the great Mother Nest’s will, you must set an example—abandon the Destiny Contract’s binding on the great Mother Nest civilization. Upon returning to Wizard World, you must then lead your kind to join us as much as possible, and for those unwilling to join, the great Blade Empress will assimilate them into a part of the Mother Nest civilization.”

Green’s expression shifted, speaking deeply: ”I’m representing Wizard’s will for cooperation, not asking for favor!”

”Sorcerer, I haven’t finished speaking. The ability to lead your kind’s will to rely on the great Mother Nest civilization is your sorcerers’ honor. Rest assured, a world will be specially allocated for your sorcerers to thrive as a reward for proactively relying on the Mother Nest civilization. Besides...”

”I think you’re misunderstanding something. Wizard’s will is an equal existence with Mother Nest’s will; I’m merely here seeking cooperation!”

Green emphasized again, his voice turning thoroughly cold.

”Equal existence with Mother Nest’s will? Humph, Sorcerer, you humble being sitting in a well, unable even to venture out of your world cluster, you know how many worlds Mother Nest civilization controls, do you...”

Bang!

Suddenly, Green’s figure flashed, slapping the cobra that hadn’t stopped flicking its tongue on the head.

Instantly, under absolute strength, Green carefully controlled the internal force, fearing strong fluctuations attracting the attention of monitors outside the Ironblood Cage.

Enough to form a body hundreds of meters, the clustered cobra of billions of insects, under Green’s absolute power, all exploded in an instant with a ”Bang,” including the insect mother who pushed Green to the limit, obliterated together.

”Endlessly noisy!”

Green gritted his teeth, speaking icily.

”Ah! You actually...”

Bang!

Again, a flash of figure, Green similarly slapped the black bat swarm dead, a malicious aura spilled.

A mere Fourth-Level World Lord, not even qualified to enter the Dimensional Esophagus, even with Green greatly suppressing his power, such existence was merely a triviality for Green to crush at will, yet dared to be so impudent.
